“Officer He, why do you have time to contact me today?” Lin Feng asked first. 0

“Hehe... This officer has been busy with cases lately, so I haven't been able to wander around campus carefree like you, Student. What’s up, just getting up?” Since their last encounter, He Ting and Lin Feng had become friends, so He Ting teased him like a friend would. 0

In response to He Ting's words, Lin Feng could only smile in silence. These past few days, He Ting might have been busy, but he was definitely busier dealing with Song Xin, confronting Song Gang, and facing off against a century-old gang. That was no easy task. 0

Of course, Lin Feng would never tell He Ting about these things. 0

“Alright then, I didn’t expect that after not seeing each other for a few days, Officer He has become quite the talker. Yes, just got up. What do you need?” Lin Feng replied. 0

“Nothing much, I suddenly thought of inviting you to breakfast. How about it? Would you honor me with your presence?” He Ting unexpectedly invited Lin Feng. 0

“Hehe... Where’s the logic in refusing an invitation? Go ahead, how can I honor you?” Although Lin Feng found it a bit sudden that He Ting wanted to treat him to breakfast, he didn’t point it out and asked instead. 0

“Hmm, I’m driving over now. Are you at School?” He Ting said on the other end of the line. 0

Lin Feng wasn’t surprised that He Ting knew where he was at School. After all, given her position, it wouldn’t be difficult for her to find out about his public records. However, right now, Lin Feng was actually not at School. 0

Perhaps the most incompetent Student was indeed Lin Feng. 0

“Hehe... Unfortunately, I didn’t stay at School last night; I’m at a hotel,” Lin Feng said. 0

“Are you burning money? But then again, you are a wealthy person; I almost forgot,” He Ting immediately expressed her opinion but quickly stopped herself from saying more. After all, last time Lin Feng had spent quite lavishly and didn’t fit the image of a poor Student at all. 0

“Alright, I know you don’t come without a reason. What do you want from me?” Lin Feng decided not to continue teasing He Ting. As friends, if there was something he could help with, he wouldn’t refuse. 0

“You’re straightforward. Wait a minute; weren’t you in my debt from last time? That night, you took advantage of me while I was drunk…” He Ting said boldly. However, no matter how bold she was, the events from that drunken night with Lin Feng were not something she could easily discuss as an inexperienced girl. 0

“Okay, come over. I’ll be waiting for you in the hotel lobby,” Lin Feng understood that He Ting felt embarrassed. Although he had also fallen asleep that night and nothing happened, as a man, he felt it wasn’t appropriate to say much and simply agreed. 0

“Hehe... You really know how to handle things. Alright, I’m on my way now. Hehe... I actually have something important to tell you,” He Ting said with a chuckle upon realizing that Lin Feng was still aware of the situation. 0

After Lin Feng reported the name of his hotel, he hung up the phone. 0

When Lin Feng arrived in the hotel lobby, He Ting was rushing in with great energy. 0

"Wow... you're really on time," He Ting said. 0

"Not bad. But let's get straight to the point. When you called me, I had just finished breakfast. If you really mean it, we could have some dim sum together," Lin Feng replied. Seeing He Ting brought back a long-lost feeling; she was beautiful and exuded a refreshing charm, which was Lin Feng's most immediate impression of her. 0

"Come on... let's talk in the car," He Ting smiled again, clearly in a hurry about this matter. 0

"Isn't there a place to have dim sum right here?" Lin Feng teased instead of following her out. 0

"I'm not as wealthy as you are, and what I need your help with today is actually related to having dim sum," He Ting knew Lin Feng was joking, but she wasn't in the mood for jokes and pulled him to leave. 0

"Alright, tell me what it is. I should at least know what I'm getting into, right? If it's too dangerous, I might not be able to help," Lin Feng said, refusing to move. 0

"Why are you so stubborn? Let me tell you, this is serious. You need to understand that the longer you delay, the more likely someone will get hurt," He Ting insisted. 0

But she knew Lin Feng's temperament; the more she pressed him, the more he would want to know everything about the situation. 0

So she changed direction and pulled Lin Feng toward a table in the lobby, clearly ready to start explaining. 0

Lin Feng allowed her to lead him, and they found a spot to sit down. 0

"I can't stand you; why are you so stubborn?" After sitting down, He Ting still wanted to say a few words. 0

"Ha ha... aren't you being stubborn too?" Lin Feng smiled and countered. 0

"Uh... fine, I'll get straight to the point." He Ting was caught off guard by Lin Feng's question; she knew she wasn't exactly known for her patience either. 0

"That's more like it." Lin Feng crossed his legs and prepared to listen to the story. 0

He Ting began to explain. 0

After listening for a while, Lin Feng understood that He Ting wanted his help to solve a case. 0

The case was quite simple: a pervert had been targeting young couples in the morning when there were fewer people around, robbing them of their belongings and even assaulting the female partner in the couple. 0

What He Ting needed him for was to pretend to be her boyfriend and find a quiet place to have breakfast. 0

"Do you think we look like a couple?" Lin Feng asked. 0

"Hey... we’ve already slept together, and you’re denying it?" He Ting shot back with a bold remark. 0

"I’m fainting... Fine, let’s pretend," Lin Feng couldn't refuse at this point. 0

"Now that sounds more like it. So, shall we go?" He Ting was already a bit impatient; her personality was such that being able to personally catch the Criminal would be the most satisfying thing for her. 0

"But don’t you think you should tell me about the characteristics of that Criminal? For example, his strength level or something," Lin Feng asked again. 0

"Oh, I almost forgot. I heard this guy is quite skilled," He Ting suddenly remembered. 0

"What kind of skilled? How skilled?" Lin Feng pressed on. 0

However, Lin Feng wasn't too worried; with his current skills, an average Criminal wouldn't stand a chance against him. 0

"He should be stronger than me, but I have a gun," He Ting said as she patted her thigh, clearly indicating that her handgun was right there. 0

"Is that so? Then that's good. Let’s go." His earlier question about the Criminal's abilities was just casual; since He Ting was so confident, he decided to accompany her and consider it as protecting her. Ever since that night, he had felt something very subtle towards He Ting. 0

Seeing that Lin Feng was ready to leave, He Ting naturally followed him. 0

Once outside, Lin Feng realized that He Ting had driven a Police Car. 0

"I said, Officer He, do you really think a criminal would go after a couple in a police car?" Lin Feng said, feeling somewhat speechless. 0

"Come on, do you think I'm that stupid? I never said I would drive my own car; we can take a taxi," He Ting replied, clearly having anticipated this question. 0

"Fine, I'll sacrifice a bit and drive my car. The more bait we have, the higher the chances of the criminal showing up," Lin Feng said as he pulled out his keys from his pocket. 0

The car Lin Feng drove last night was the Audi that the Liu Family had gifted him. 0

"Oh, you changed cars again?" Although He Ting couldn't see the vehicle, she recognized it and asked when she saw Lin Feng take out an Audi key. 0

"No, it's a gift from a friend," Lin Feng answered honestly. 0

"Oh, your friend is really generous. How come no one has given me a car?" He Ting said as she took the keys. 0

"If you wanted one, there would probably be a line of people waiting to give you a car; they’d be afraid you'd refuse," Lin Feng hinted, vaguely aware that He Ting's family background was impressive—at least her brother was quite remarkable. 0

"Whatever, let's go. This time, I'll show you this car," He Ting said as she took the lead, indicating that she wanted to drive. 0

Knowing He Ting's driving skills, Lin Feng decided to let her take charge. 0

Lin Feng was then led by He Ting to a relatively secluded breakfast shop where they began to eat breakfast together. 0

Following He Ting's request to pretend to be a couple, Lin Feng even took the initiative to wrap his arm around her waist. From the front view, it was hard to tell how things were going, but from behind, it was clear that Lin Feng and He Ting looked like a couple in love who shared every bite of their breakfast. 0

The spot they chose could only be seen from behind from outside. 0

At first, He Ting had objections about Lin Feng holding her waist, but later she had no retort when he justified it with "everything is for maintaining social stability." She had no choice but to cooperate. 0

"Lin Feng, don't think about taking advantage of me," He Ting said while appearing affectionate from behind. 0

"Don't worry. Just think about it; that night was such a good opportunity, and I managed to sleep peacefully. What does that say?" With nothing else to do, Lin Feng teased. 0

"What do you mean?" He Ting asked Lin Feng, not understanding why he suddenly said that. 0

"It means I never saw you as a woman," Lin Feng paused before replying. 0

After saying that, Lin Feng regretted it. Being so close, He Ting retaliated fiercely, causing the tender flesh at Lin Feng's waist to feel numb from the pain. 0

"He Ting, when did you start hitting like a woman?" Although He Ting had struck him, Lin Feng, as a man, felt embarrassed to retaliate. At that moment, he could only continue to verbally attack He Ting. 0

"What did you say?" He Ting hit Lin Feng's waist again. Just as Lin Feng insisted on using words to counterattack, He Ting was determined to use her hands. 0

"Damn..." Lin Feng winced in pain and tightened his grip on He Ting's hand. 0

"Lin Feng, you're really not manly at all," He Ting remarked when she noticed Lin Feng finally taking some action. 0

"Damn it, you're not really a woman anyway," Lin Feng shot back. 0

He Ting was about to strike again when Lin Feng's expression turned serious. "Target spotted. Be careful." 0

Just now, although Lin Feng was joking with He Ting, he had been using his Mental Power to stay alert. At that moment, he sensed some dangerous information nearby. 0
