"We actually come from the future..." Lin Yu's voice trembled slightly as the fragments of memories from deep within his soul finally pieced together, revealing their true identities—they were guardians of the Time Order, tasked with maintaining the stability of the timeline. This time, they were sent to stop Uncle Wang's conspiracy to distort time.
Su Qing's eyes were filled with confusion as she struggled to recall something, but her mind was a blank slate. She did not understand what Lin Yu meant, nor did she comprehend why such powerful energy was surging within her.
"Don't worry, Su Qing," Lin Yu said, holding Su Qing's hand and transmitting a warm energy to her. "I will protect you; together we will stop him!" The fire of determination burned in Lin Yu's eyes; he would not back down even in the face of a formidable enemy.
"Kid, don't think I don't know what tricks you're playing!" Uncle Wang's face darkened as he sensed the powerful energy radiating from Lin Yu and Su Qing, which made him uneasy.
Before he finished speaking, Uncle Wang's figure transformed into an afterimage and swiftly attacked Lin Yu. His speed was astonishing, as if he could manipulate time itself; each strike carried a fierce gust of wind.
Lin Yu reacted quickly, pulling Su Qing to dodge. The furniture in the room was utterly destroyed by Uncle Wang's attacks, wood chips flying everywhere and leaving deep scratches on the walls.
"Su Qing, use your power!" Lin Yu shouted. He knew that he could not defeat Uncle Wang alone and needed to harness Su Qing's strength.
Although Su Qing still didn’t fully understand what was happening, she chose to trust Lin Yu. She closed her eyes and felt the surging power within her, attempting to guide it.
An invisible wave spread out from Su Qing as its center, causing the air in the room to seem to freeze. Uncle Wang's movements slowed down, and a look of surprise appeared on his face.
"Time power?!" Uncle Wang exclaimed in shock; he did not expect that Su Qing possessed the ability to manipulate time.
"Now is the time—attack!" Seizing this opportunity, Lin Yu flashed behind Uncle Wang. He summoned all his strength and punched toward Uncle Wang's back.
At the same moment, Su Qing opened her eyes, which sparkled with dazzling light. She extended her finger and gently tapped; an invisible ripple spread out, trapping Uncle Wang in place.
Uncle Wang tried to evade but found his body seemingly shackled and unable to move.
"Bang!"
Lin Yu's fist struck Uncle Wang's back heavily, producing a muffled sound. Uncle Wang let out a groan and spat out a mouthful of blood, his body flying away like a kite with a broken string, crashing hard against the wall.
"You... you all..." Uncle Wang struggled to get up, but his body had been severely injured, leaving him unable to fight back.
Lin Yu and Su Qing stood side by side, their eyes fixed on Uncle Wang, not missing any of his movements.
"Uncle Wang, your scheme has been exposed; give it up!" Lin Yu said in a deep voice.
"Hahaha..." Uncle Wang suddenly burst into wild laughter. "Do you think this can stop me? The power of time is limitless; I will return!"
Uncle Wang's laughter grew louder as his body gradually became transparent, eventually disappearing into thin air.
"Not good, he's escaping!" Lin Yu's expression changed as he tried to stop him, but it was too late.
Su Qing looked at the vanishing Uncle Wang, worry etched on her face. "Will he come back?"
"He will, but he's gravely weakened and won't be able to stir up trouble for a while," Lin Yu reassured her. "We still have time to find a way to stop him for good."
After saying that, Lin Yu's body also began to turn transparent. He turned to look at Su Qing, his eyes filled with tenderness and reluctance. "Su Qing, I'm sorry; I have to go..."
"Wait, Lin Yu!" Su Qing reached out to grab Lin Yu, but her hand passed through his body.
"Goodbye, Su Qing; we will meet again..." Lin Yu's voice grew fainter until it finally vanished into the air.
Su Qing stood there in a daze, her mind blank as if she had just woken from a dream. She didn't know whether everything that had just happened was real or not, nor did she understand why she possessed such immense power.
Suddenly, a wave of intense drowsiness washed over her, and Su Qing's vision darkened as she collapsed to the ground...
When Su Qing opened her eyes again after regaining consciousness, she found herself lying on a sofa in the library. Sunlight streamed through the window, warming her. She rubbed her sleepy eyes and sat up, only to realize that she had no recollection of what had just occurred.
"Strange, how did I end up here?" Su Qing muttered to herself, unable to remember how she had fallen asleep.
At that moment, a familiar voice rang in her ears, "Su Qing, you're awake?"
Turning her head, Su Qing saw Lin Yu standing beside her with a concerned smile on his face.
"Lin Yu, what are you doing here?" Su Qing asked.
"I came to find you," Lin Yu replied with a smile. "Don't you remember? We agreed to come to the library together today."
"Did we?" Su Qing strained to recall but couldn't remember anything about it. However, she didn't doubt Lin Yu's words because he felt so familiar and warm to her, as if they had known each other for a very long time...
