In the bottomless pit of pain, Edric felt his consciousness constantly blurring, as if the spark of life was gradually being extinguished. Each punch seemed to be telling him about the impermanence and cruelty of life. His body wanted to struggle, but he couldn't find any strength to cling to. Every nerve was wailing, every drop of blood was crying. His heart was filled with fear and despair, feeling trapped in an inescapable nightmare. 0

The taste of coppery blood filled his mouth, rolling in his throat, making each breath incredibly difficult, as if the air had become pungent and tearing. His face was no longer that of a firm and proud knight, but that of a failure controlled by endless fear. He weakly closed his eyes, unwilling to see that chilling reality again, but the roar of the Da Shan and the sound of fists pounding continued to echo in his ears, unable to let him escape this cruel reality. 0

Suddenly, his fingers touched something cold and hard. It was a stone! In that instant, a spark of hope flashed through his heart. Despite being incredibly exhausted, his survival instinct drove him to tightly grasp the stone. With force, his fingertips felt the coldness of the stone stimulating his nerves, bringing some clarity back to his consciousness. 0

In that endless moment, every cell of Edric's body was tightly congealing, his heartbeat slowing down, and he felt as if time was unusually slowing down at that moment. He waited, waited for that one chance to fight back, knowing that this might be his last opportunity. 0

As Da Shan swung another fist at him, Edric felt the opportunity. His heart suddenly tightened, and every muscle in his body tensed. Taking a deep breath, he gathered all his strength, and as the fatal blow approached, he broke free from the chains of pain and with all his might, he smashed the cold, slippery stone in his hand towards Da Shan's temple. 0

His movement was as fast as lightning, as fierce as thunder. He felt the stone draw a perfect arc in the air, heading straight for Da Shan's head. In that moment, a wild and desperate light flashed in Edric's eyes, the most primal and wild survival instinct when facing the threat of death. 0

His heart froze at the moment the stone struck, and the whole world seemed to stand still at that moment. He could hear the sound of the stone hitting the skull clearly, a chilling collision. He felt Da Shan's body suddenly stiffen, its massive form arcing through the air and then crashing heavily onto the damp ground. 0

Edric's heart contracted in that moment. He knew he had succeeded, he had fought off death by a hair's breadth. His body was weak, but the joy of survival made him feel a surge of unprecedented strength. He struggled hard, wanting to stand up from this deathly silence and regain the lost hope. 0

Edric felt every ache in his body, as if he had endured an indescribable ordeal. He struggled to support himself on the ground and slowly sat up. His head still swayed slightly, and every breath brought a tearing pain, but he knew he couldn't stop here. 0

He forced himself to ignore the pain, propping himself up with trembling hands and standing up with great effort. His gaze turned to the Da Shan lying not far away, its breath very rapid, causing its body to tremble slightly with each breath. Edric felt a hint of unknown fear, but he knew he couldn't let Da Shan stand up again. 0

He walked slowly towards the Da Shan, feeling cold sweat dripping down his back with every step. His hands were trembling, but he tried hard to keep himself calm. He knew he had to end it all. 0

As he approached the Da Shan, he saw fear and regret in its eyes. But Edric felt nothing; he just wanted to end this nightmare. 0

He held his breath, tightly gripping the stone in his hand, and then with all his strength, he fiercely smashed it down onto Da Shan's head. Again and again, until he felt the stone in his hand was soaked with the bloody smell, until he saw Da Shan no longer struggling, no longer breathing. 0

Edric's palm and clothes were dyed a terrifying red with blood, his mood so heavy that he could hardly breathe. He had no idea where he had finally struck Da Shan, he was just driven by fear and despair, aimlessly smashing. When he finally felt Da Shan no longer struggling, his hand also lost its strength, the stone slipped from his grasp and fell with a dull thud onto the muddy ground. 0

He gasped for breath, each inhalation feeling like a dance on the edge of a knife. His vision began to blur, and his mind became a chaotic mess. His body no longer felt like his own, every movement becoming unusually difficult. 0

He staggered to his feet, each step feeling like the earth beneath him was devouring his strength. His vision refused to focus, and all he wanted was to leave this place of fear, find a quiet spot, and let his thoughts slowly settle. 0

However, his body no longer seemed to obey his commands. He struggled to maintain a weak balance, but on the slippery muddy ground, he finally lost his footing and fell. His head violently hit a sharp stone nearby, and the intense pain made him involuntarily groan. Then, he felt waves of dizziness coming over him, the world started to blur, and the sounds became distant. 0

Edric tried hard to stay conscious, but his awareness seemed to be swallowed by darkness, gradually sinking into endless blackness. His body relaxed, his consciousness drifted away completely, enveloped by the heavy darkness, and he passed out. In the moment of unconsciousness, the only thought in his mind was the hope that he would wake up from this nightmare. 0
