For a moment, although he claimed he was unwilling, Chaotic had no choice but to switch from offense to defense. The Void Energy on his claws exploded, transforming into a precise net. He concentrated as much of his internal power as possible in his head and abdomen, the weaker areas.
Bai Tu had already been worn out by Chaotic's Void Energy, and a direct confrontation was certainly not the outcome that the cunning Chaotic desired. Unfortunately, Bai Tu was now just a soul body; if he were still in his physical form, he wouldn't have to go through such trouble. Even if the leader of the Bai Ze Clan came personally, he could find an opportunity to swallow him whole! Let alone this little brat!
At that moment, the space-time energy in Bai Tu's palm finally collided with the Void Net set up by Chaotic.
"Zzzz..."
A sizzling sound akin to hot oil meeting a heated pan erupted as the two energies crazily eroded each other, turning into countless specks of light. Bai Tu's side was a mix of black and white, while Chaotic's side transformed directly into black mist.
Logically, Void Energy should have been able to overpower Bai Tu's space-time energy. However, although Bai Tu had expended some energy earlier, he now had the advantage of his physical form assisting him. Unlike Chaotic, who was hiding behind the Void Net without any contact, Bai Tu found himself in a stalemate...
At this moment, Chaotic's true nature as a cunning strategist revealed itself. It seemed he had anticipated this stalemate long ago. While his body remained still, one of his tails stretched out in an eerie manner, its tip gleaming with sharpness that rivaled some divine weapons!
Bai Tu had most of his focus on that net. He believed that with all his space-time energy concentrated on attacking, that black beast would have to expend all its effort to maintain the net! The Bai Ze Clan was naturally adept at manipulating space-time, drawing energy from the heavens and earth faster than anyone else. If this stalemate continued, the situation would surely reverse! He glanced down at the large area of flesh he had previously torn open; it was already visibly regenerating thanks to the nourishment from the energy of heaven and earth!
However, before Bai Tu could fully savor his joy and shift his gaze back, he caught a glimpse of Chaotic's tail out of the corner of his eye!
Damn it, that tail is really long!
Wait... did it just grow that long? Bai Tu felt something was off.
No one could answer him, but in the next moment, he understood!
A massive black tail resembling a long whip shot toward him from behind, seemingly aiming to pierce him through from back to front!
Once again, Bai Tu's innate strong perception saved his life. Using the void for leverage, he rolled sideways just in time to avoid Chaotic's tail thrust. But how could Chaotic's meticulously planned battle allow him to escape so easily?
Transforming the thrust into a sweep, the long tail wrapped in black light struck fiercely at Bai Tu's lower abdomen before flicking upward. The previous void net was effortlessly lifted and fell directly toward Bai Tu!
Bai Tu took a hit from the tail whip on his abdomen and felt the Void Energy invade his body. Not only was his restored strength continuously being depleted during battle, but in pain and despair, he found himself unable to evade the approaching void energy net! Thus, he could only watch helplessly as that massive net tore through space and descended upon him!
