Her granddaughter, confused, thought the elder was saddened by the distance that had consumed her life’s work yet remained unattainable. However, the next moment, she heard the elder say, "Go, prepare the spacecraft for me."

"Don't worry, my child." Bai Wei gently patted Su Qing's hand and slowly rose. Though her movements were slow, they were filled with strength. "I can’t wait to embark on this journey."
Su Qing understood that her grandmother had made up her mind and no longer tried to dissuade her. Instead, she asked with concern, "But starting the spacecraft requires a massive amount of energy; our remaining energy..."
Bai Wei smiled confidently and pointed to a device covered by a black cloth in the corner of the workbench. "That's not a problem; I anticipated this day long ago."
Su Qing approached and lifted the black cloth, revealing a uniquely shaped device that emitted a soft blue light, its surface flowing with complex energy patterns.
"This is..." Su Qing gasped and covered her mouth. "When did you..."
"I haven't stopped researching all these years; this is my final achievement and our hope for reaching 'Azure'." Bai Wei stepped forward to the device, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "It can absorb Dark Matter from the universe and convert it into the energy we need."
Su Qing looked at this technologically advanced device with both astonishment and admiration. She knew well the difficulty of this technology and understood how much effort her grandmother had put into this moment.
"There's no time to waste; let's get started." Bai Wei said, signaling Su Qing to activate the device.
Taking a deep breath, Su Qing pressed the start button. The device emitted a deep humming sound as blue light surged forth, causing the entire research base to tremble slightly.
Meanwhile, in outer space, a black Interstellar Warship was quietly approaching.
"Report: Abnormal energy fluctuations detected in the direction of Earth," an operator in the control room of the warship reported.
"Earth?" A man in a black combat suit, with a sturdy build, turned around. His sharp gaze and a metallic earring on his left ear identified him as the interstellar hunter Reynold. "Specific location."
"Located at 30.55 degrees north latitude, 104.06 degrees east longitude." The operator quickly pinpointed the coordinates.
Reynold frowned slightly; he was familiar with this coordinate. It was the center of that area from years ago, now a restricted zone.
"Could it be..." A thought flashed through Reynold's mind as he immediately ordered, "Full speed ahead, target area!"
Inside the research base, devices had begun to operate, continuously converting Dark Matter into energy and supplying it to the spacecraft.
"Energy supply is stable; everything is ready," Su Qing said as she looked at the data on the control panel and then turned to Bai Wei. "Grandma, we can set off now."
Bai Wei nodded, her eyes filled with anticipation and determination.
At that moment, alarms blared throughout the base.
"Warning! Warning! High-energy reaction detected; an unidentified flying object is approaching rapidly!"
Su Qing's expression changed: "Grandma, it's the interstellar hunter!"
Bai Wei remained unusually calm. She patted Su Qing's shoulder and said firmly, "Don't worry, everything is within my expectations." After saying that, she walked straight toward the exit of the base.
The base's large door slowly opened, and blinding sunlight poured in. Bai Wei squinted her eyes and saw a black warship hovering in mid-air.
The deck of the warship gradually descended, and a tall figure walked down from it—none other than Reynold.
"It's been a long time, Dr. Bai Wei," Reynold said, looking at the silver-haired elder before him with a cold tone.
