"What does she want to do?" Reynold wondered, controlling the aircraft as it hovered above the pile of rocks, observing Bai Wei's movements.
Bai Wei was skillfully maneuvering an off-road vehicle through the rocky terrain. She seemed to know the environment like the back of her hand, calculating each step with precision.
Reynold did not understand Bai Wei's intentions, but he dared not rush in after her. The complex terrain of the rock pile made collisions with the aircraft likely, which would be counterproductive. He could only wait patiently for Bai Wei to emerge from the rocks.
A few minutes later, Bai Wei drove her off-road vehicle out from the other side of the rock pile, having shaken off Reynold's pursuit, and sped toward a massive spaceship in the distance.
Reynold followed closely behind but soon realized that this spaceship was nothing like he had imagined; it was an ancient model from four hundred years ago, showing signs of age.
Bai Wei drove her off-road vehicle straight into the belly of the antique spaceship. Reynold pursued relentlessly, trying to enter the ship from behind.
"Grandma, he's catching up!" Su Qing exclaimed anxiously, gripping the armrest of her seat tightly.
"Don't worry!" Bai Wei replied as she pressed a red button.
The armored panel at the rear of the spaceship slowly descended, revealing a large metal platform. Just as Reynold was about to pursue, he found an energy barrier suddenly rising on the platform, blocking his way.
Bai Wei accelerated and drove onto the platform, after which the armored panel slowly rose, sealing off the interior of the spaceship from the outside.
Seeing this, Reynold angrily shouted at the spaceship, "Bai Wei, do you think you can escape like this?!"
Inside the spaceship, Bai Wei parked the off-road vehicle and turned to Su Qing, saying, "Let's go!"
Su Qing nodded and followed Bai Wei out of the vehicle.
The two quickly walked through a narrow passageway and arrived at the spaceship's cockpit.
Inside the cockpit, various instrument panels and control consoles flickered with a ghostly blue light, filled with an ancient and mysterious aura. Bai Wei skillfully operated the equipment, starting the spaceship's engine.
"This spaceship..." Su Qing looked at everything in front of her, speechless with surprise.
"This is a gift left to me by your grandfather," Bai Wei said, a hint of tenderness flashing in her eyes, her tone tinged with nostalgia.
The spaceship trembled slightly and began to ascend slowly.
Reynold watched helplessly as the spaceship escaped from his sight, gritting his teeth in anger but feeling powerless. He never expected that this seemingly old antique spaceship would possess such powerful capabilities.
"Report to headquarters, the target has escaped. Requesting further instructions," Reynold said into the communicator.
"The model of the spaceship being piloted by the target is unknown, suspected to be an antique model from four hundred years ago, equipped with a powerful defense system and weaponry. Please proceed with caution," a cold voice responded from the communicator.
Reynold furrowed his brow; he knew this mission was likely not going to be simple.
In space, Bai Wei piloted the spaceship, accelerating continuously in an attempt to shake off Reynold's pursuit.
"Grandma, he's still chasing us!" Su Qing pointed at the light spot on the radar screen anxiously.
Bai Wei said firmly, "Hold on tight!"
She suddenly pushed the control stick forward, and the spaceship shot forward like an arrow released from a bow, racing into the vast universe.
Reynold relentlessly pursued them, controlling his craft as he fired laser cannons and missiles in an attempt to intercept Bai Wei's spaceship.
The spaceship traced dazzling arcs in space, evading Reynold's attacks.
Suddenly, Bai Wei noticed a field of asteroids ahead.
"Grandma, it's dangerous ahead!" Su Qing exclaimed.
Bai Wei, however, remained unfazed. She calmly maneuvered the spaceship, weaving effortlessly through the asteroid belt.
Seeing this, Reynold did not hesitate to pursue. He was determined that this antique spaceship could not escape his chase in the asteroid field!
The spaceship darted left and right in the asteroid belt, facing numerous dangers. Reynold piloted his agile craft closely behind, continuously shortening the distance between them.
At that moment, Bai Wei spotted a massive asteroid blocking the path of the spaceship.
"Now's my chance!" A glint of determination flashed in Bai Wei's eyes.
She suddenly pulled the control stick, making a sharp turn to maneuver behind the asteroid.
Reynold did not expect Bai Wei to turn so abruptly; he piloted his craft straight into the asteroid.
"Boom!"
With a loud explosion, Reynold's craft erupted into a fireball in space.
Bai Wei piloted her spaceship successfully evading Reynold's pursuit and vanished into the vastness of the universe.
