After playing a little mischief, Mr. Fu felt extremely pleased. Taking advantage of someone’s shy and dazed moment, he leaned in and lightly pecked her lips before calmly picking up the bow to play the violin. 0

Su Wan held out the violin towards him, blushing as she glared at him and said, “Here!” 0

“What do you want to hear?” Fu Weiheng asked with a smile as he took the violin. 0

Su Wan thought for a moment and said, “Can you play 'Amazing Grace' again first?” 0

Fu Weiheng raised an eyebrow nonchalantly, then without saying another word, lifted the violin and began to play. The violin is the smallest and highest-pitched instrument among string instruments, known for its brilliant and clear tone, high level of performance technique, and rich expressive capabilities. Its sound is close to that of the human voice, capable of conveying tenderness, passion, lightness, and even the most dramatic intense emotions, earning it the title of the "Queen of Instruments." 0

The same melody played on the violin had a bright and clear tone that gently stirred the heart. Su Wan once thought that a song of forgiveness should feel soft and soothing, perhaps even carrying a hint of joy. But under Fu Weiheng's performance, beyond softness and comfort, there was a more immersive quality. As he played, he transformed all his sorrows and repressions into melodies that unfolded line by line before dissipating into the air. 0

Su Wan noticed that his fingers were long and slender but not awkward like those with arachnodactyly. He seemed like a naturally gifted violinist sculpted by God; as long as he had a violin in hand, he could create an enchanting world for you. 0

The last note lingered in the room as Su Wan took a long time to come back to her senses. She stared blankly at Fu Weiheng's handsome profile and couldn't help but say directly, “Mr. Fu, I think I'm starting to like you more and more.” 0

Fu Weiheng's heart skipped a beat; while feeling proud of himself, he was also somewhat reluctant. “Is it just because I played 'Amazing Grace'?” 0

Su Wan could easily detect the sourness in his tone and chuckled lightly. “Even so, it’s still because it’s you.” 0

Mr. Fu was successfully pleased by her words and became more enthusiastic. “Well then, if you like it, I’ll play another one.” 0

“Okay.” 0

Most of the afternoon had passed, and Su Wan had been sitting quietly beside him, listening intently. As the last piece, "Nostalgia for the Homeland," concluded, Su Wan clapped proudly and said, "Neil, you are amazing..." 0

"It's all about effort," he replied with a meaningful smile. "Guan Guan, as long as I want to do something, there's nothing I can't achieve." 0

Su Wan suddenly recalled something Fu Weijin had mentioned earlier and couldn't help but tease him: "Is it because your teacher once said, 'It should be impossible to achieve anything good in music'?" 0

Fu Weiheng paused his fingers on the piano, contemplating silently for a moment before breaking into a chuckle. "Wei Jin told you that?" 0

"Uh-huh." Su Wan vaguely covered up, "I accidentally overheard it." 0

He put the piano away in its case and explained, "At first, it was indeed true, but later..." 0

Su Wan raised an eyebrow, waiting for him to continue. However, he suddenly stopped, his brow arching with a mysterious smile. "Do you want to know?" 0

Someone nodded. 0

Mr. Fu leisurely bent down and pointed to his cheek. "Kiss me once, and I'll tell you." 0

Su Wan complied and leaned in to give him a light kiss. 0

"Because I like it," he took Su Wan's hand and began to fidget with it unconsciously. "I remembered my teacher's words for a long time and forced myself to practice piano every day. Although I improved quickly later on, I wasn't happy. When I was five years old, I met a kind and gentle person. That day, he played 'Amazing Grace' on my piano; it was the first time I heard that piece, and it felt so comfortable and soothing. He also told me that music is the most wonderful existence in this world. Don't distort it because of temporary competitiveness; create it out of love, and your heart will be spacious and bright." 0

"So later on, you accepted the violin from the bottom of your heart?" This reason surprised Su Wan; no wonder he had such a deep obsession with "Amazing Grace." In that sense, they were somewhat similar. She had also started her musical journey because of her father's "Amazing Grace." 0

"Yes," he said. "Once I truly fell in love with the violin, it always brought me unexpected surprises." 0

Su Wan nodded in agreement. 0

In the evening, Su Wan and Xu Chengyang agreed to practice the piece for the New Year's Day party in the Piano Room, so after a quick dinner with Fu Weiheng, she hurried back to school. When she returned to the Piano Room with her violin, Xu Chengyang and Bridge were already there, while Amin was still on the way back after accompanying someone to practice. 0

Both Bridge and Xu Chengyang were majoring in violin, while Amin was one of the rare individuals in the department specializing in viola. The Music Department's New Year's Day party required everyone to perform on stage, so Xu Chengyang put in a lot of effort to find Amin for their quartet. 0

As soon as Su Wan pushed open the door, she saw Xu Chengyang teasing someone without hesitation: "Bridge, are you going to accompany Brother Yang tonight?" 0

Bridge looked up from her phone and replied leisurely, "That depends on what skills you have." 0

"Hey!" Xu Chengyang exclaimed, slapping her thigh. "Have you heard the story of Guan Yu cutting down Hua Xiong while drinking wine?" 0

Bridge raised an eyebrow at her. 0

Xu Chengyang continued, "I'm just like Guan Yu..." 0

Bridge interrupted, "Just like... fast?" 0

Xu Chengyang choked on her words: "...I mean just as brave!" 0

Su Wan remained silent. 0

Bridge burst into laughter at Xu Chengyang's frustrated expression. Turning slightly, she noticed Su Wan staring at Xu Chengyang with a look of deep resentment, which made her stop laughing immediately. 0

Xu Chengyang unconsciously shivered: "Why do I feel a chill behind me..." She turned around and was startled by Su Wan's mournful gaze, her heart racing. "Guan Guan! Do you walk without making any sound? You scared me to death!" 0

Bridge laughed again, looking up at the ceiling. 0

Su Wan shot her a resentful glance and silently walked over to get her violin. 0

Xu Chengyang looked at her and, feeling a lingering fear from the past, poked her playfully, saying in a delicate tone, "Guan Guan, is it that the Deity's love for you isn't enough..." 0

When Fu Weiheng was mentioned... 0

Su Wan tilted her head and gritted her teeth, "I want to stab you." 0

Xu Chengyang: "..." 0

Bridge couldn't stop laughing. Skipping over Xu Chengyang, he walked up to Su Wan and put his arm around her shoulders, saying, "Guan Guan, I've wanted to stab her for a long time too!" 0

As Xu Chengyang moved closer to Su Wan, he said recklessly, "Then go ahead and stab me. It would be an honor to be stabbed by you, but please don't stab my chest; it's that time of the month, and my chest is really sore." 0

Su Wan: "..." 0

Bridge: "..." 0

Bridge thought that in all of Yan University, he couldn't find anyone as shameless as Xu Chengyang. 0

Not long after, Amin hurriedly arrived. The group exchanged few words before tuning their instruments and starting to practice. After two rounds, Xu Chengyang felt something was off and shook his arms, exclaiming, "Damn it! Why does my string playing feel more and more like Parkinson's syndrome?" 0

The three of them: "..." 0

When they returned to the dormitory, it was already quite late. Yao Ye seemed to have just returned not long ago and was taking a shower inside. Su Wan, feeling a bit sleepy, took out her phone to check. There were two WeChat messages and one friend request notification. 0

The messages were from Mr. Fu—one asked if she had finished practicing, and the other informed her that he would pick her up for breakfast the next morning. Su Wan replied briefly and then opened the friend request notification. The WeChat name was Jiang, and the profile picture was blank, resembling a zombie account. 0

At that moment, Yao Ye had just come out of the bathroom. Su Wan didn't pay attention and casually placed her phone down before grabbing a towel and her pajamas to take a shower. 0

The next morning, before dawn, as Su Wan was still in a daze, she felt a dull pain in her abdomen and got out of bed to go to the bathroom. 0

Sure enough, her period had arrived. 0

After tidying up a bit, it was still early, and feeling extremely fatigued, she slipped back into bed to continue sleeping. 0

When she woke up again, the sun was already bright. Xu Chengyang and Yao Ye had both gotten ready to head out. Su Wan rubbed her aching stomach and painfully climbed out of bed. 0

Seeing her looking haggard and weak, Yao Ye approached and touched her face. "What's wrong, Guan Guan?" 0

Su Wan replied weakly, "Aunt... Flo..." 0

Yao Ye: "..." 0

Xu Chengyang came out of the bathroom. "I just got here two days ago and you already showed up. Talk about having an impact!" 0

Su Wan: "..." 0

"The first day of Aunt Flo is unbearable. Guan Guan, you should take a day off work," Yao Ye offered her a cup of hot water, trying to comfort her. 0

"Yeah, Guan Guan, Deity is one of us. You can talk to him about it; otherwise, I can help you," Xu Chengyang said as he took out his phone to send a WeChat message to Fu Weiheng. Su Wan raised her hand to stop him. "No need; I'll just drink some brown sugar water. He just said I can't take leave during this time, and it wouldn't be good for him to explain my absence to everyone." 0

Xu Chengyang didn't say anything further and quietly put his phone back in his pocket. 0

"You guys should go ahead; I'm fine. Fu Weiheng will come pick me up," Su Wan said as she straightened up and gently pushed them both away with a relaxed expression, winking at them before heading into the bathroom to freshen up. 0

The two of them felt somewhat relieved upon hearing that Fu Weiheng would come to pick her up, and they left with their bags. 0

When Su Wan carried her violin downstairs, Fu Weiheng was already waiting. He sat in the car with the windows fully down, and she could clearly see the delicate outline of his profile at a glance. 0

As if sensing something, Fu Weiheng turned his gaze and spotted her. He opened the car door, walked briskly to her, took the violin off her shoulder, and gently stroked her pale, weary face, his handsome brows slightly furrowed. "Get in the car." 0

Su Wan was pulled to the car door by him when a sudden sharp pain shot through her abdomen, like a thousand needles piercing her. She shuddered and leaned into the passenger seat. 0

Fu Weiheng placed the violin in the back seat before sitting down himself. Instead of starting the car immediately, he leaned over to fasten her seatbelt. Su Wan was surprised. "How did you…" 0

He knew what she was about to ask and replied succinctly, "I just ran into your roommate." 0

Su Wan understood; no wonder he was so attentive upon seeing her. Xu Chengyang must have told him about her period. At this thought, Su Wan's face involuntarily flushed, and she turned to look out the window. 0

Fu Weiheng pressed the gas pedal and softly said, "Get some rest." 0

Su Wan felt heavy all over and couldn't muster the energy to speak. She lightly nodded, her head tilting as she fell asleep. 0

This sleep seemed exceptionally deep. Su Wan was worried about getting off near the company, so she slightly opened her eyes to take a look. To her surprise, she found herself no longer in the car but being cradled horizontally in Fu Weiheng's arms, with her violin on his back. Squinting slightly, she looked around and instantly woke up; they were in an elevator! Did Deity carry her all the way from the entrance into the elevator? 0

"Where is this?" Su Wan whispered, twisting her body to get down from his arms. 0

"Don't move." Fu Weiheng tightened his grip on her, calmly saying, "This is my apartment." 0

Before Su Wan could process this shocking revelation, the elevator dinged as it reached their floor. She watched as Fu Weiheng carried her out of the elevator, entered a code to unlock the door, and walked into the apartment. 0

Seeing him head straight for the bedroom made Su Wan feel anxious. Trembling slightly, she stammered, "I... I have my period..." 0

"..." Fu Weiheng glanced at her with lowered eyes and said in a deep voice, "What are you thinking?" 0

In the next moment, he gently placed her on the bed and covered her with the blanket. 0

Su Wan's ears turned red as she grabbed the blanket to cover half of her face, leaving only her eyes visible. She stammered, "I thought you were going to..." 0

Mr. Fu chuckled, leaned down to kiss her forehead, and said frankly, "I really want to, but not right now." 0

Su Wan: "..." 0

"Go to sleep." He tucked the blanket around her securely. "The team has a day off today, no practice." 0

Su Wan was taken aback for a moment and asked softly, "What about you?" 0

"I'll be outside, not leaving." 0

With his answer, Su Wan finally felt at ease and nodded. Despite the waves of pain in her abdomen, she fell into a deep sleep. 0
