Feng Yu followed behind me, neither too close nor too far.
At the dining table, I had already finished my meal while Feng Yu was still focused on eating.
I rested my chin on my hand and asked, "Have you thought it through?"
Feng Yu paused his eating for a moment before putting down his chopsticks.
He looked at me and said, "If you want me to drink, you can just say it directly."
"No need to beat around the bush."
I smiled lightly and said, "I'm asking you to drink tea, not alcohol."
Feng Yu frowned, seeming a bit confused.
I looked at him and said, "You see, I'm offering you tea, but you refuse and insist on making me angry."
"That's your fault."
"If yesterday, as soon as you walked in, you had obediently drunk that cup of tea, I wouldn't have made you drink alcohol."
"So the mistake lies with you, not me."
Feng Yu furrowed his brow even tighter; he seemed to want to argue back but ultimately kept his mouth shut.
I looked at him and said, "Feng Yu, I don't like people who argue for the sake of arguing."
"I hope you can understand that."
Feng Yu's lips moved slightly, and in the end, he responded with a simple "Mm."
I looked at him and asked, "What else?"
Feng Yu replied in confusion, "What else?"
I sighed and said, "It seems I overestimated you."
"I thought you would realize your own mistakes."
"But it looks like I still need to remind you."
Feng Yu quietly stared at me without saying a word.
I looked at him and asked, "Didn't I make myself clear last night?"
"I said, I want to give you a reward."
"But you didn't cherish it."
Feng Yu's pupil shrank as he looked at me, remaining silent.
I sighed, "Feng Yu, you're really not likable."
"But..."
I smiled, "I like you very much."
Feng Yu's breath caught, staring blankly at me.
I stood up and walked in front of him, gently patting his head.
"You need to remember, no matter when, as long as I say you're wrong, you're wrong."
"What you need to do is not argue with me but obediently admit your mistake."
"Do you understand?"
Feng Yu quietly looked at me without speaking.
I sighed, "Feng Yu, I don't want to hit you."
Feng Yu's eyelashes fluttered as he looked at me again.
I said, "You know I like obedient people."
"If you're not obedient, then I'll have to find someone else."
Feng Yu's expression changed slightly as he tightened his grip on my hand.
I smiled and patted his head.
"Very good."
Cai Family Old Residence.
I sat in the living room chair, holding a cup of tea while watching the busy figure in front of me.
Cai Ying was reviewing the accounts, occasionally calculating with an abacus.
His brows were tightly furrowed, seemingly encountering some trouble.
I looked at him, unable to help but zone out. Cai Ying is my older brother and the person I know best in this world. He has raised me since I was little. Cai Ying is very strict with me, but I really like him. Because of him, I never feel bored.
Suddenly, Cai Ying looked up at me and said, "By the way, I heard that our parents are going to announce something big."
"Do you know what it is?"
I snapped back to reality and shook my head. "No idea."
Cai Ying looked at me and sighed. "Mo Yu, you can't keep acting like this."
"Our parents have spoiled you, but you can't take their kindness for granted."
"They are your parents; you need to respect them."
I pouted, unconvinced. To me, the Cai Family parents are just two strangers. I have been raised by Cai Ying since childhood, and the time our parents spend at home throughout the year is minimal. I have no feelings for them at all.
Cai Ying is very strict with me, but I can't argue with him. After all, he truly cares for me. But…
