After discussing with XP, Liu Guanfeng carefully removed the wrist guards, leg guards, and the iron vest he was wearing. To avoid startling the wolf pack across from him, every movement Liu Guanfeng made was cautious. Once he had taken off all the heavy gear, he felt almost weightless. After preparing everything, Liu Guanfeng nodded at XP, who immediately dashed out.
The Wolf King Guardian sensed movement behind it and turned around to see XP. A few Fire Wolves behind the Wolf King Guardian also turned upon noticing its action. XP wasted no time and unleashed the Fear Skill. The Wolf King Guardian was hit by XP's Fear Skill and staggered back two steps, shaking its head before looking up at XP.
At that moment, the Wolf King Guardian was enraged, and Liu Guanfeng realized that XP's attempt to instill fear in the Wolf King Guardian had failed. However, although the Fire Wolves that turned with the Wolf King Guardian were not affected by fear, they instinctively took a few steps back upon seeing XP's blood-red eyes, trembling deeply.
The retreating wolves bumped into the Fire Wolves in front of them, causing a small commotion in the back half of the Fire Wolf Pack. Seizing the opportunity, Liu Guanfeng quickly pulled out a handful of stones from his pocket and shot them at the wolf pack with his slingshot. The two men and one woman on the opposite side noticed the commotion among the wolves and intensified their attack. The female archer swiftly fired four arrows while the man wielding dual axes charged into the wolf pack, swinging his axes left and right. The other man swung a metal rod, creating a whistling sound as it cut through the air.
At this point, Liu Guanfeng discarded his slingshot and drew his sword from his waist. Although it was called a sword, it was not much longer than an adult's dagger. With his right hand gripping the sword and his left fist clenched, Liu Guanfeng charged into the most chaotic part of the wolf pack. As he approached, he spotted one wolf that had been frightened by XP; it hadn't yet recovered from its fear. Liu Guanfeng swiftly struck down its head with his sword and punched aside a Fire Wolf to his left.
Then Liu Guanfeng hopped into the midst of the wolves. Just as he steadied himself, he felt a gust of wind behind him followed by a force that pushed him forward until he crashed against a large rock.
After stopping, Liu Guanfeng looked back to see a dead Fire Wolf lying where he had just stood. Next to its corpse stood a man holding an iron rod similar to that of a Copper Bull, staring at him. The other two men had also retreated; after their earlier frenzied attack, the wolf pack had fallen back several meters.
Liu Guanfeng recognized the man who had just saved him as Teacher Yue from his academy. "Teacher Yue, what are you doing here?"
"What do you mean what am I doing here? If I hadn't come, would you still be feeding the wolves?" Teacher Yuepeng replied grimly.
Liu Guanfeng scratched his head awkwardly. "Teacher Yue, I was just trying to save someone! If I hadn't helped them, things could have gone very badly."
Teacher Yue looked at Liu Guanfeng and relaxed upon seeing he was unharmed. He turned to glance at the wolf pack before saying to Liu Guanfeng, "We'll deal with you later. I've sent my mount to notify the principal; if we hold on for a bit longer, they'll be here soon."
Upon hearing that reinforcements would arrive shortly, the three exhausted individuals straightened up immediately. The burly man with dual axes nodded at Teacher Yuepeng:
"If we survive today, we will definitely repay this brother's life-saving grace."
Teacher Yuepeng shook his head. "If you want to thank someone, thank that young man behind me; if he hadn't come in, I wouldn't have intervened to save you."
After hearing Teacher Yuepeng's words, the burly man glanced back at Liu Guanfeng: "Thank you in advance; if I survive this ordeal, I will repay you."
Liu Guanfeng stood beside Teacher Yuepeng with his sword drawn and said to the burly man: "Don't rush to thank me; let's talk about it after we get out."
"Alright, let's talk after we get out. Wolves, come on."
There were still more than twenty wolves in front of them, and five Fire Wolves were attracted by xp, leaving Liu Guanfeng and the others facing about seventeen or eighteen, which significantly reduced their pressure.
As the Wolf King Guardian howled to the sky, xp's voice echoed in Liu Guanfeng's mind:
"Master, be careful. The wolf pack is going to launch a full-scale attack. You must hold on; I will deal with this Wolf King Guardian as quickly as possible." After saying this, xp lunged at the Wolf King Guardian.
Upon hearing xp's voice, Liu Guanfeng said in a low voice to the others, "Hold on; the wolf pack is going to attack with full force." He tightened his grip on the short sword in his hand.
As xp charged at the Wolf King Guardian, the entire wolf pack began to move. Two wolves lunged at Liu Guanfeng, while three Fire Wolves targeted the woman. The other three men each found themselves surrounded by five Fire Wolves.
Teacher Yuepeng shouted, "Watch out, Liu Guanfeng!", then brandished his twin staffs and charged into the wolf pack. The burly man wielding dual axes also called out, "Be careful, little brother!" and launched his own attack against the wolves.
Liu Guanfeng focused on the two Fire Wolves in front of him. One of them slowly moved behind him. Just as that Fire Wolf was about to reach his back, Liu Guanfeng stepped right with his right leg and turned his body to the left. At that moment, both wolves were now in front of him—one to his left front and one to his right front.
When the two wolves saw Liu Guanfeng turn around, the Fire Wolf to his right front opened its mouth and shot a fireball towards him. Liu Guanfeng leaned right to dodge the incoming fireball. Before he could regain his stance, the other Fire Wolf lunged at him.
There was no chance to get up; seeing the fiery claws of the Fire Wolf reaching for his face, Liu Guanfeng exerted force with his left leg and executed a side roll to evade the attacking wolf.
Liu Guanfeng thought: I never expected that my time as a goalkeeper in school would save my life now.
After rolling aside, Liu Guanfeng didn’t rush to get up but instead performed two consecutive forward rolls. As he rolled through, several fireballs struck the ground where he had just been, sending sparks flying onto his back.
Liu Guanfeng thought: I didn’t expect these two wolves to coordinate so well. One attacks from a distance forcing me to defend while the other takes advantage of it for close combat.
To be honest, although Liu Guanfeng was confident in his physical abilities, it was still his first time facing a life-and-death battle, so nervousness was inevitable. Turning back to face the two wolves now standing together, he noticed that the one on his right opened its mouth again and shot another fireball.
Seeing this, as soon as the first Fire Wolf launched its fireball, the second one charged forward. With a fireball coming from the front and a wolf behind him, Liu Guanfeng executed an Iron Bridge, dodging the incoming fireball while avoiding being pounced on by the second Fire Wolf. He supported himself with both hands on the ground and kicked upward with all his strength towards the abdomen of the wolf above him.
The abdomen is a weakness for any animal; this kick sent the upper Fire Wolf flying backward. Just as he got up, another Fire Wolf lunged at him again. There was no time to dodge; all he could do was retreat backward.
The claws of that Fire Wolf swiped down in front of him. While he managed to avoid its claws with his face, his body wasn’t quick enough to escape; both claws caught him on the chest. Liu Guanfeng felt a sharp pain in his chest followed by a tearing sound—his shirt had been ripped open.
Several scratches appeared on his chest, but they only left a few white marks on his skin without any bleeding. However, being clawed by the Fire Wolf was indeed an unpleasant experience; not only did it hurt a lot, but the scratched areas also felt like they were being burned.
As Liu Guanfeng's body leaned backward, he was pushed by the Fire Wolf, causing him to stagger back. After taking a few steps back, he suddenly felt a rush of wind behind him. At this point, Liu Guanfeng could no longer resist; he could only use his Fighting Qi to protect his internal organs. He felt another wave of intense pain from behind, estimating that his back had suffered a fate similar to his chest.

the Fire Wolf lunging at Liu Guanfeng was instantly pierced through. The wolf's blood splattered all over him. Knowing that the remaining Fire Wolf would surely charge at him next and that this tactic would no longer work, Liu Guanfeng rolled two meters to the right.
However, this time the Fire Wolf did not pounce on him but instead spat out fireballs from its position. The fireballs kept coming at Liu Guanfeng, forcing him to jump left and right while occasionally using his sword to deflect them. Still, several fireballs hit his body, and he had to keep patting out the flames on himself.
Taking advantage of a momentary distraction, Liu Guanfeng reached into his pocket and pulled out a Stone. He then flicked it toward the remaining Fire Wolf's head. He didn't care whether it would hit; his goal was simply to scare off that Fire Wolf so it wouldn't keep spitting fireballs.
Seeing a Stone coming towards it, the Fire Wolf instinctively jumped to the right. Seizing this opportunity, Liu Guanfeng took out several more Stones from his pocket and began throwing them at the Fire Wolf continuously.
