The guard exerted force on his knees, and the steed beneath him, the Windfire Horse, galloped to the front of the Barracks. The guard pulled on the reins and shouted loudly into the Barracks, "Let your Big Leader come out! General Lei Ding from Summer City has something to say to her. If you are afraid to fight, then you might as well go back early."
After speaking, the guard turned his horse around and rode back.
At this moment, Zhang Yuru in the New World was contemplating the day's situation when a Lieutenant rushed in. "Report to Big Leader."

"Big Leader, outside the camp, General Lei Ding from Summer City is challenging you by name."

Just as Zhang Yuru dismissed the Lieutenant, the Generals standing in the large tent were displeased. Fang Tianlong spoke up first, "Big Leader, why do you need to deal with him? Let this official handle him."
Zhang Yuru smiled slightly, "Room Leader, you are too anxious. They must have something to say today, and I am certain that their appearance is a sign of desperation. Let's go out and see. Gather the troops; I want to meet this General Lei Ding."
With Zhang Yuru's command, a Horn sounded in the open space of the Barracks. This Horn was also made from Liu Guanfeng Ming; it was crafted from the horn of a unique Sea Beast found on Luo Heng Island and Said Island. This Sea Beast is a lightning-type creature with a single horn, known as the Unicorn Manatee Beast. The Horn made from this creature's horn not only produced a deep sound but also had strong penetrating power.
As the Horn echoed, the entire military camp began to mobilize quickly, organizing themselves into formation. Zhang Yuru commanded, "Open the camp gates."
Two guards opened the gates, and Zhang Yuru was the first to charge out of the Barracks on her Xuanrou. A group of martial generals followed closely behind her, with well-trained soldiers standing behind them.
In front of a line of flag bearers stood various generals, especially in the center position where a large sea-blue flag bore the character "Zhang." Beneath this flag stood a female general clad in sea-blue armor, wielding a pair of Emei daggers that glimmered under the sunlight, making her appear even more formidable. This female general was none other than Zhang Yuru, the Big Leader of the New World.
Lei Ding stood opposite, looking at the neatly arranged ranks and glancing at Zhang Yuru, who stood confidently under the grand flag. He nodded inwardly: as expected of Big Leader, she truly has the aura of a superior.
With a determined push of his legs, Lei Ding urged his Cross-Sea Tiger forward, taking two steps to reach the center between the two armies. He pointed his Greatsword towards Zhang Yuru and said, "Please have your Big Leader come out to speak."
Upon seeing that Lei Ding had stepped forward, Zhang Yuru patted Xuanrou on the head and said, "Sister Xuan, let's go over."
Xuanrou twisted her body and walked step by step to the front of the general's formation, stopping ten meters away from Lei Ding. Zhang Yuru pointed her Water Piercer at Lei Ding and said, "General Lei, you called us out. Is there something you want to say? Speak now; I am all ears."
"Zhang Leader, you have been shouting and singing outside the city for days, leaving notes for the city. I know you also want to avoid excessive casualties in case of war. I can tell you that your strategy has succeeded. Many people are fleeing from our city right now. If this continues, we will soon have no soldiers left.
However, I can still attack you before all the soldiers flee. In that case, your side will also suffer significant casualties."

"Big Leader is indeed Big Leader. That's right; I didn't come to discuss these matters. I want to propose a duel between us today. If I win, you will leave Summer City immediately. If we lose, we will surrender right away. What do you think, Big Leader? This deal seems fair."

"Big Leader, that's not acceptable." After a roar, Fang Tianlong and Hong Tao charged to Zhang Yuru's side on horseback.
The two warriors clasped their fists towards Zhang Yuru: "Big Leader, you cannot take such risks; let me fight in your stead."
Lei Ding, sitting on his Mount, addressed the three of them: "If you three want to team up against me, that's fine too; it would save others from saying I'm bullying juniors."
With that remark, both Fang Tianlong and Hong Tao were enraged. Fang Tianlong pointed at Lei Ding: "Old thief, don't be so arrogant! One of me is enough to deal with you; there's no need for teamwork."
Beside him, Hong Tao looked coldly at Lei Ding and said, "Lei Ding, you think too highly of yourself. If you have the ability, win against me first." After speaking, Hong Tao waved his weapon.
At that moment, Zhang Yuru stepped in to stop the two: "Gentlemen, please calm down. General Lei Ding is trying to prevent harm to the citizens in the city. Besides, both of you are already quite exhausted from the battle against Winter City. Let me handle this fight today."
"Big Leader, how can that be? You are the highest commander and cannot afford any mistakes."
Zhang Yuru smiled slightly: "You two don’t need to worry. As the Big Leader, I must face the challenge from the opponent. Otherwise, it would greatly influence our morale. Besides, do you really think that what you can do, we cannot? Now, you two step back."
Fang Tianlong and Hong Tao exchanged a glance and reluctantly said, "Big Leader, be careful." After that, the two generals urged their mounts to return to their formations.
Once the two assistants left, Zhang Yuru smiled at Lei Ding like a blooming peach blossom: "General Lei, now it’s just the two of us."
At first, when Lei Ding suggested that all three of them fight together, he felt uncertain. Although Fang Tianlong, Hong Tao, and Zhang Yuru were not as strong as him individually, he still had doubts about their combined strength. He couldn't guarantee a 100% victory; however, he was confident he could win against anyone else.
Now that he saw Zhang Yuru send the other two away, he felt relieved. Lei Ding clasped his fist towards Zhang Yuru: "Big Leader, you truly deserve your title; you have great spirit."
"Enough with the small talk; let’s get started. We can't just stand here and not determine a winner."
"Alright then, Big Leader, I won’t hold back." After saying this, Lei Ding stepped back a few paces with his mount and gripped his long staff.
With a kick of his legs, Cross-Sea Tiger swung his iron staff straight at Zhang Yuru. At this moment, Zhang Yuru stood on Xuanrou's back with her Water Piercer crossed in front of her chest, waiting for Lei Ding's attack. As Cross-Sea Tiger approached Xuanrou's side, he aimed a sweeping strike at Zhang Yuru's waist.
Zhang Yuru used her left hand with the Water Piercer to block the iron staff. Using the force from the staff, she executed an Iron Bridge maneuver. The iron staff swept past her waist.
Lei Ding pivoted Tiger Head and followed up with another strike towards Zhang Yuru. At that moment, Zhang Yuru leaned back onto Xuanrou's back and evaded this blow as well.
Zhang Yuru knew that her strength was definitely not a match for Lei Ding, so she patted Xuanrou's shell and said, "Sister Xuan, please help me."
A blue light emanated from Xuanrou, enveloping both Xuanrou and Zhang Yuru. At that moment, Zhang Yuru appeared to merge with Xuanrou.
This was a unique ability of the Ninth-Stage Beast. Beasts of the Ninth Tier and Divine Knights could become one with their masters. During this process, the powers, attributes, and Fighting Qi of both master and beast could be transferred to each other. This is why powerful Divine Knights must obtain a Ninth-Stage Beast; having such a companion significantly enhances the combat power of a Divine-Level Expert.
Seeing this situation, Lei Ding realized he had no chance of winning. If Zhang Yuru were riding even an Eighth Rank beast, he would have been confident in fighting her. However, it was clear that this beast was at least Ninth Tier, making his chances of victory zero.
Nevertheless, Lei Ding did not give up on the fight due to Xuanrou being a Ninth-Stage Beast. He was eager to see just how powerful Zhang Yuru was with a Ninth-Stage Beast as her mount. Thus, Lei Ding continued to attack Zhang Yuru with his staff. He executed the Mountain Pressing Down move, aiming the iron rod directly at Zhang Yuru's head.
When the iron rod came crashing down towards her head, Zhang Yuru did not attempt to dodge. Instead, she raised her left hand with the Water Piercer and struck it against Lei Ding's iron rod with a clang, deflecting it away.
This caused Lei Ding's arm to go numb immediately. The pain in his Tiger Head made him nearly lose grip on the iron rod, and when he looked down, he saw that his palm had been bruised. Lei Ding thought to himself: I didn't expect this little girl to have such great strength.
In reality, it wasn't Zhang Yuru who was strong; it was Xuanrou beneath her. The Turtle species in the sea is known for its strength, especially the Xuan Turtle among them. Therefore, its strength was beyond what an ordinary Advanced Knight like Lei Ding could compare to. After sharing power with Xuanrou, Zhang Yuru easily deflected Lei Ding's weapon.
Following this, Zhang Yuru pressed on relentlessly as she urged Xuanrou forward. She wielded the Water Piercer skillfully. As a short weapon, as long as she kept her distance from Lei Ding, he would find it easy to deal with her. However, after being stunned by the impact that injured his palm, Zhang Yuru closed in on him.
Zhang Yuru wielded both Water Piercers with agility, trapping Lei Ding in between as if he were submerged in water; every part of his body was vulnerable to attack while he staggered under her assault.
Zhang Yuru unleashed all the martial arts techniques she had learned against Lei Ding, who struggled to defend against them. By now, sweat was pouring down his forehead; his clothes were soaked through as he gasped for breath.
Zhang Yuru then created some distance between them and held the Water Piercer in front of her chest while looking at Lei Ding. "General Lei," she asked, "do you think we still need to continue fighting?"
Zhang Yuru's words caught Lei Ding off guard: "What do you mean by 'Big Leader'? Why are we stopping? You haven't won yet!"
"Is that so? Then you better lower your head and take a look at your armor and weapon."
At this moment, Lei Ding followed Zhang Yuru's advice and looked down at his armor. He then noticed a very obvious small hole on his Heart Shield, which he knew was left by the Water Piercer in Zhang Yuru's hand. Looking at the iron rod in his hand, it was already battered and worn.
"How about it, General Lei? Do you want to continue?"
"Why not? I haven't lost yet." After saying this, Lei Ding gathered his Fighting Qi and prepared to attack again. However, an awkward situation occurred; as he channeled his energy, cracks began to form around the small hole in the Heart Shield. Soon, there was a sound of "crack, crash." Upon closer inspection, it turned out that Lei Ding's armor could not withstand his Fighting Qi and shattered completely, falling to pieces on the ground.
Lei Ding was momentarily stunned but quickly regained his composure and said, "I can still fight without armor." Just as he was about to say the word "fight," he realized something else: the iron rod in his hand had split into two. The rod had broken in half.
Seeing this situation, Zhang Yuru said, "General Lei, if you still want to compete, I'm up for it. But now you have no weapon to use. The weapons from the New Home Chamber of Commerce have long been eliminated in our New World due to their poor quality. Someone bring General Lei a set of armor and a large rod; I want to continue competing with General Lei."
As soon as Zhang Yuru finished speaking, a Lieutenant rushed out holding a set of armor, accompanied by a guard carrying a brand new iron rod. The two guards placed the armor and rod in front of Lei Ding before turning back to their team.
"General Lei, please put on your armor and take your weapon so we can compete again. No need to rush; I'll be right here waiting for you."
Lei Ding sat on his Cross-Sea Tiger, looking at the armor and weapon before him. He then dismounted and knelt on one knee in front of Zhang Yuru: "Big Leader, I admit defeat. According to our agreement, I choose to surrender."
Before Zhang Yuru could react to Lei Ding's kneeling submission, the North Gate had already opened. The lord of Summer City, Wang Huancheng, stood at the city gate holding a surrender document in both hands. Facing Zhang Yuru's direction, Wang Huancheng also knelt on one knee and placed the surrender document on his head while saying, "Wang Huancheng, lord of Summer City, surrenders."
