Yui lightly curved her lips and coldly uttered two words, "Do you dare?"
For a moment, a strange glimmer flashed in Yui's eyes. The Crown Prince stared at her, seemingly a bit dazed, unable to control the words that were about to escape his lips.
Suddenly, a voice as cold as Arctic ice came from behind her, piercing into Yui's ears with each step she took, "Of course I dare!!!"
Dian Yin's face slowly appeared before Yui's eyes from behind the Crown Prince. Yui was taken aback, realizing something was wrong.
Sure enough, Dian Yin quietly placed her hand on the Crown Prince's back, and immediately a golden aura surrounded him—a protective shield invisible to mortals. Yui was stunned; Dian Yin could contribute fifty percent of her energy to protect the Crown Prince, which meant... even she couldn't move against him.
How infuriating! It was so frustrating!
"Hit me," the Crown Prince's gaze suddenly cleared, a flicker of emotion deep within his eyes, but it was quickly suppressed as he turned away from Yui.
Yui wanted to resist, but her body seemed to be controlled by something; her limbs wouldn't obey her. She glared at Dian Yin, who wore a cold smile with a hint of smugness.
Yui realized that the energy she had consumed yesterday had not yet returned, making it impossible for her to resist Dian Yin's magic. What should she do?
Lost in thought, she found herself pinned to the ground. A large board came crashing down onto her backside. Pain shot through her like an electric shock, radiating from her rear to her limbs, and cold sweat beaded on her forehead.
She couldn't help but scream, "Help me—"
She struggled desperately, but her limbs were firmly pressed to the ground, unable to move even an inch.
Throughout her life, aside from the occasional beatings from her father, which were not very painful due to her protective aura, now a mere mortal dared to hit her. It was truly... too much to bear.
Tears slowly filled her eyes. As the board fell mercilessly, she looked through her blurred vision at the people in front of her: the smirking Eunuch, the indifferent Dian Yin, and... the expressionless Crown Prince.
A single crystal-clear tear slowly traced a path down her delicate cheek, dropping to the ground where it gradually spread out and disappeared.
