As night fell, the Crown Prince decided to rest in place for the night and continue his journey at dawn.
There were no villages or inns nearby; it was quite a desolate area. The Crown Prince had brought along Dian Yin and Yui, as well as a coachman and a guard. Although it appeared that there were few people, Yui could sense that there were hidden presences around them.
The curtain of the carriage was lifted, and the Crown Prince stepped inside. Dian Yin was pulling Yui, about to go out, when the Crown Prince raised his hand to stop them. "It's fine; the carriage is spacious enough."
However, Yui did not want to go out. Being alone with the Crown Prince would give her the opportunity to act, and she needed to distract Dian Yin first.
"No," Yui said firmly, her reasoning clear. "The Crown Prince is the master, and we are merely servants. How can we share the same carriage? It is too inappropriate."
"Oh?" The Crown Prince leaned slightly, a tempting smile playing on his lips, his expression inscrutable. "I didn't know that Little Rain understood etiquette so well."
Although it was clearly a sarcastic remark, Little Rain let it go in one ear and out the other.
"That is under your wise guidance and profound teachings, Your Highness. Of course, I remember your deep lessons~~"
Speaking of which, her bottom and head still ached.
A glimmer of amusement flashed in the Crown Prince's eyes. "In that case, don't say that I don't cherish delicate flowers. Go ahead."
"Mm-hmm." Nodding vigorously, Yui slipped out.
She was certain that Dian Yin, the ice person, would not stay inside by himself; otherwise, the Crown Prince and she, two ice blocks together, would surely freeze solid.
On a dark and windy night of murder...
Yui was crouched in a tree, quietly observing Dian Yin's movements through the leaves. The coachman and guards posed no threat; only Dian Yin was a significant danger.
The spell couldn't affect the Crown Prince, so she had to resort to using a knife or a stick.
She took a deep breath and sensed no presence of Dian Yin nearby; he should not be within a hundred miles. What a perfect opportunity!
With a flick of her fingers, the coachman and guards immediately collapsed, snoring loudly.
With a quick motion, she summoned the guard's sword into her hand. Alright, this will do.
She flew onto the carriage and gently lifted the curtain.
The Crown Prince was very alert; she had experienced it firsthand, so she had to be extremely cautious.
