Sang Zhi looked at Duan Jiayu's gentle gaze, countless opening lines flashing through her mind, only to be dismissed one by one. The warmth in her cheeks gradually increased as she took a deep breath, as if finally making up her mind. She gathered her courage and said, "Brother, I..." 0

"Mm?" Duan Jiayu tilted his head slightly, waiting for her to continue. 0

"I..." Sang Zhi bit her lip and finally mustered the courage to say, "I got accepted into C University." 0

Upon hearing this, Duan Jiayu was clearly taken aback for a moment, then a smile crept onto his lips. He reached out and ruffled Sang Zhi's hair, his tone carrying a hint of surprise and affection. "What a coincidence, kid." 0

Those three short words felt like a stone thrown into the calm lake of Sang Zhi's heart, creating ripples that stirred her emotions. Her heart raced suddenly, and her cheeks flushed as she shyly lowered her head, unable to meet Duan Jiayu's eyes. Between them, it seemed an unspoken feeling was quietly growing. 0

However, this fluttering sensation was soon interrupted by an unexpected downpour. Large raindrops fell without warning, drumming against the leaves by the roadside with a pattering sound. 0

"It's raining!" Sang Zhi exclaimed, instinctively leaning closer to Duan Jiayu. 0

Duan Jiayu looked up at the sky; what had been clear was now covered with dark clouds, showing no signs of stopping. "Let's go find a place to shelter from the rain," he said, grabbing Sang Zhi's wrist and running toward a convenience store not far away. 0

The two dashed into the convenience store through the rain, water dripping from their hair and clothes onto the floor, forming a small puddle. Inside the store, the warm lights illuminated shelves filled with various goods, creating a stark contrast to the stormy world outside. 0

"Luckily we ran fast; we didn't get too wet," Duan Jiayu shook off the rainwater from his hands and turned to Sang Zhi. Seeing her with her head down and droplets still clinging to the ends of her hair, he casually grabbed some tissues from a shelf and handed them to her. 0

"Thank you, brother," Sang Zhi said softly as she accepted the tissues, still blushing from their run. 0

In the small convenience store, they were the only two left due to the sudden downpour. The atmosphere subtly shifted into something more delicate. 0

Duan Jiayu looked at Sang Zhi, his gaze lingering on her flushed cheeks for a few seconds, and an indescribable feeling surged within him. He slightly parted his lips, seemingly wanting to say something, but when he met Sang Zhi's clear eyes, he swallowed those words back. 0

"What's wrong?" Sang Zhi noticed Duan Jiayu's unusual behavior and looked up at him in confusion. 0

"Nothing..." Duan Jiayu avoided her gaze, cleared his throat lightly, "I was just wondering if you've thought about what major you want to study since you've been accepted to C University?" 0

"I haven't decided yet," Sang Zhi shook her head, tucking her damp hair behind her ear, revealing her fair and slender neck. "Brother, do you have any suggestions?" 0

"You," Duan Jiayu reached out and gently tapped her forehead with his finger, a hint of helpless amusement in his tone, "have always liked to make me worry since we were kids." 0

Sang Zhi felt a bit shy from his sudden action; she lowered her head and mumbled softly, "I don't..." 0

"Alright, I'm not teasing you anymore." Seeing her like this made Duan Jiayu unable to help but laugh. He walked over to the shelf, grabbed two bottles of soda, and handed one to Sang Zhi. "Just think about it for now; there's still plenty of time." 0

Sang Zhi took the soda, twisted off the cap, and took a sip. The cold soda flowed down her throat, dispelling some of the chill brought by the rainy day. 0

Outside the convenience store, the rain showed no signs of letting up; large raindrops pattered against the glass window, blurring the view outside. 0

"This rain probably won't stop anytime soon," Duan Jiayu said as he glanced outside before turning back to Sang Zhi. "Once it lightens up a bit, I'll take you home." 0

"Mm." Sang Zhi nodded, her gaze falling on the soda bottle in her hand, but her thoughts drifted elsewhere. 0

C University, the institution where Duan Jiayu once studied, had always been her dream. Now, she was finally about to step onto this land to follow in his footsteps. 0
