"Master, Miss Dulisa is looking for you!" Xiao Fang called out urgently. 0

Yezhi, who was teaching Kids, put down the paper with pinyin and helplessly said to the Kids, "Everyone, practice on your own for now!" She pointed to One Egg, "If you have any questions, ask One Egg." One Egg puffed out his chest proudly, feeling honored. 0

Yezhi turned and went to the backyard. Using her consciousness to log in, she found Dulisa with a frosty expression, her silver eyes narrowed dangerously as she hovered in the air. Yezhi also struck a confident pose with her hands on her hips and shouted, "Are you done yet? You lost, and that doesn't change the fact that you're beautiful." Ever since the host announced that Xianruipu was the "Most Beautiful Star," Dulisa had not been herself. While Xianruipu calmly stood on the dazzling stage accepting her crown and applause, Dulisa deliberately walked into the audience with flair, causing quite a stir. In Yezhi's eyes, it was a rather undignified act. After Dulisa approached her, all charm vanished as she glared at Xianruipu with gritted teeth. Tiansuo, Xiao Nan, and Hong Dou greeted Dulisa before quietly slipping away. Feeling a bit guilty, Yezhi cursed Tiansuo, Xiao Nan, and Hong Dou for their lack of loyalty but couldn't bring herself to leave and sat with Dulisa. Then her misfortune began; Dulisa started a self-critique on "why she lost," and after that, she began criticizing the androgynous Xianruipu. For an entire evening, Yezhi endured it all. It hadn't been long since they parted ways when Dulisa came knocking again. How could Yezhi not be furious? 0

Dulisa twitched her eyebrows and coldly asked, "Yezhi, who did you vote for in the 'Most Beautiful Star' contest?" This question startled Yezhi, who nervously forced a smile at Dulisa. "Sister Du, with so many people supporting you, does it really matter if I didn't vote for you?" 0

Dulisa roared, "You really voted for that androgynous jerk!" Internally, Yezhi thought that jerk was indeed very captivating and mesmerizing. "Sister Du, you should have chosen something better than riding a Big White snake; it was a poor choice! I just couldn't go against my conscience and vote for you!" 0

She felt guilty for not voting for Dulisa, silently accompanying her in hopes of calming her down. 0

"You jerk! Not voting for me caused me to lose to Xianruipu by one vote! And now you're insulting the 'Holy Beast' of the 'Ling She Star' as a poor choice! You... you...!" Dulisa's chest heaved violently. With her head down, Yezhi braced herself for the storm of anger but was taken aback when Dulisa suddenly cried and cut off the video call. 0

Yezhi was stunned; this loss meant so much to Dulisa! As Xiao Fang slowly descended from the starry sky, he said, "Master, Miss Dulisa is crying!" "Yezhi" replied with a soft "Hmm!" then exclaimed in distress, "What should we do?" Sitting on the grass, she felt troubled; she didn't know what to do but knew an apology was necessary! 0

With a bitter expression, Yezhi returned to the front yard where all the Kids, either squatting or sitting on wooden benches used as tables, were diligently reading and writing. This made her face even more forlorn; without proper desks, it was ultimately problematic. When One Egg saw her return, he asked concernedly, "Sister Ye, are you done?" 0

All the kids focused their attention on Yezhi. One of them shouted, "Sister Ye, we just got here! You've run to the bathroom three times! Is your stomach upset?" 0

Er Zhu kindly suggested, "Why don't we go back first so that Sister Ye can rest well?" This was a misunderstanding! She wasn't having stomach issues; these little kids were just too good at talking nonsense. Annoyed, Yezhi replied sharply, "Stop making excuses! Focus on your studies!" 0

"Right! You little rascals need to study hard!" shouted an elder from outside the yard. 0

Caught off guard, Yezhi realized it wasn't just the elder outside; there were several parents of the kids as well. One Gun Brother yelled at the elder: "Uncle! Didn't we agree to keep quiet? Look how you've disturbed the kids' studies!" Hearing this made the elder's face flush with embarrassment. Seeing village children able to learn like city kids filled him with genuine happiness! 0

"Village Uncle, why doesn't our village have a school?" Yezhi recalled a report she had seen: in 1977, the number of private teachers across the country reached 4.91 million, making them an important force in promoting nine years of compulsory education in rural areas. By 1980, it was indeed the era of rural teachers flooding into villages, so why was there not even one teacher in their village? 0

Village Uncle sighed, "In this remote and impoverished place, who would want to come here to be a teacher?" It was true; if she had just graduated and was looking forward to a better life, she wouldn't want to come to such a poor area to teach. 0

Yezhi looked at the kids. As a modern person in the 21st century, she understood the importance of scientific and cultural knowledge, and even more so that a good learning environment could make learning much more effective. "Village Uncle, I can temporarily teach them, but can we build a new school? Kids, learning like this isn't right; look..." 0

Village Uncle scratched his head. "Yezhi, you make a good point. The big team has two empty rooms; I can get someone to connect them. As for desks and chairs, rural folks can manage some carpentry work; we can make them ourselves." Yezhi interjected, "Uncle, the most important thing now is to get textbooks!" Having lost touch with pinyin for twenty years and using Wubi for typing, Yezhi had put in a lot of effort to think in pinyin again. If they had textbooks, it would be much easier. 0

Village Uncle stomped his foot. "I'll go to the commune right now!" With that, he hurried off to find the Cart Master at the commune. 0

The kids were all overjoyed; they were finally going to have the school they had long dreamed of. One Gun Brother and other villagers approached Yezhi to ask about how big and high the desks and chairs needed to be. Lacking artistic talent, Yezhi gestured and felt her explanations were muddled, but surprisingly, some villagers understood her well. 0

As night fell, Village Uncle returned with a broken blackboard that had many small holes but was enough to make Yezhi happy. Her chalk would finally have a place to be used. Village Uncle also spared no expense at the supply store in the commune and prepared some pencils, notebooks, and erasers for the kids. 0

Feeling a bit apologetic, Village Uncle handed over a nearly torn book. "Yezhi, you can make do with this book for now; I'll think of another way!" 0

"Uncle, it's fine; one book is enough." This book solved a major problem. 0

Under candlelight, Yezhi flipped through the worn book. It was different from the colorful printed language textbooks with plastic covers she had used in elementary school; this textbook was much simpler but contained similar content. Holding the book brought back fond memories of things that were gradually fading away! When she read the text filled with pinyin annotations titled "Crows Drink Water," Yezhi felt as if she was lost in that forgotten time and saw herself sitting straight at a desk with Teacher Fan wearing glasses. 0

All night long reminiscing, Yezhi woke up with dark circles under her eyes and yawned before splashing cold water on her face to wake herself up. 0

Black Treasure wobbled around the yard for a while before sitting obediently by the well after greeting Big Yellow and the chicks. Yezhi loved giving Black Treasure baths because this little black creature always liked to snuggle up to her; if she didn't wash it, it wouldn't pay attention to her. Perhaps due to being fed "Smart Beans," Black Treasure increasingly loved to imitate things it saw often—washing its face became one of those things. Now every morning, if she didn't prepare water for it to wash its face, it would either sit by the well without moving or shake its plump body while peering into the well. The first time Aunt Zhou saw this behavior, she was startled but later found it amusing and praised Black Treasure's intelligence whenever she met someone. 0

Black Treasure buried its round face in a basin of water and shook off droplets everywhere just as the eager kids began arriving one after another. Yezhi hastily finished breakfast and started a new day of teaching. 0

On the morning four days later, One Egg, Dogzi, Er Zhu, and Yezhi arrived at the classroom of Team. Inside, thirty desks and chairs were neatly arranged, and the classroom exuded a refreshing scent of wood. Yezhi and the kids fondly touched the simple desks and chairs. Zhou Cao, Zhou Hong, and the other seven girls were so excited that tears glistened in their eyes. 0

Yezhi instructed the kids to sit properly, and they obediently sat up straight. Er Zhu ran up with a willow stick about the thickness of a finger. "Teacher, this is for you as a pointer." 0

Yezhi chuckled as she took it and waved it proudly a few times. Dogzi and One Egg instinctively shrank back in fear. The Village Uncle took a look and nodded in satisfaction. "This is good, sturdy. If any of these little rascals misbehave, just give them a good whack." One Gun Brother and the villagers echoed, "Right, if they don't listen, just hit them!" 0

"As the saying goes, good people come from under a golden stick. I won't let everyone down; for any kid looking for trouble, I won't hold back," Yezhi laughed heartily while holding the pointer. 0

One Egg and Dogzi glared at Er Zhu in complaint: "You have nothing better to do than bring a pointer!" At that moment, Er Zhu regretted it immensely. Dogzi, trying to please her, said, "Teacher Ye, at first glance... it looks like..." Er Zhu chimed in, "Kind and gentle!" Many kids nodded in agreement; Sister Ye didn't seem too intimidating and should be just trying to scare them. Only One Egg frowned at this thought: Sister Ye could take on wild boars and bears; she was no ordinary character. It would be better to behave around her. 0

After sending off the Village Uncle and the villagers, the kids began learning their first lesson in the new classroom. 0

... 0

A month quickly passed, and Yezhi's students increased from 27 to 37. Almost all children over six years old from Zhoujiatun came to school to learn; of course, Er Niu was personally sent by her father as well. 0

The rice fields were thriving, thanks to Yezhi sprinkling "energy" stone powder into them. After grinding Energy Stones for a week with little effect, Yezhi finally bought Shockwave Power Gloves from Cosmic Mall to crush the energy stones. To afford these gloves, she sold a Bear Bone at a price slightly higher than last time—180,000 Bodeton—and deposited all of it into Xiao Fang's account. After Xiao Fang's wallet filled up, Yezhi logged on almost every time it did to browse Cosmic Mall Website for treasures but always shook his head when asked if he found anything. 0

During this month, the Ugliest Star held its final competition. According to Hong Dou, it was unprecedentedly lively with many spectators coming specifically for her Earth Anthem performance. When they heard she was absent due to illness, they were quite disappointed. Fortunately, there were no boos from the crowd; this relieved Yezhi as she feared that her infamous reputation would only worsen. 0

Everything seemed fine except for Dulisa ignoring her. Previously often criticized by Dulisa made her wish not to see her again; however, now that she truly couldn't see her anymore, she felt lonely and depressed. Why do people only realize the value of what they lost after it's gone? 0
