Yezhi walked back home, where One Egg had been waiting for a long time. "Sister Ye, you're back!" One Egg, who was lying down doing homework, quickly stuffed the notebook into Cloth Bag at Yezhi's gesture. Yezhi put on her Bite-Resistant Armor, donned her Shockwave Power Gloves, grabbed a couple of Milk Candy, and slung the large Cloth Bag over her shoulder, setting off towards the deep mountains of Old Forest. 0

Under Xiao Fang's guidance, Yezhi and One Egg arrived at the familiar stream. Yezhi opened her Pet Communicator and called out twice into the dense forest, "Wolf Child!" Upon hearing Yezhi's voice, Wolf Child was filled with joy and quickly appeared before them. 0

"Little Sister, we're here to see you again!" One Egg waved cheerfully. Wolf Child responded with a sweet smile, which made One Egg beam with happiness. Not minding the dirt, Yezhi hugged Wolf Child, feeling her icy cold body. She immediately tightened her embrace and asked if she was cold. Wolf Child didn't quite understand what cold meant, but being in the warm embrace felt just like snuggling with Big Wolf, comfortable and reassuring. 0

Holding Wolf Child, Yezhi couldn't help but ask again if she wanted to come down the mountain to spend the winter. With a look of confusion, Wolf Child glanced at the eagerly nodding One Egg and then at Yezhi, shaking her head with a smile. 0

Yezhi understood what Wolf Child was reluctant to leave behind and took out some matches for One Egg to teach Wolf Child how to start a fire for warmth. Playing with fire naturally attracted children, and soon enough, Wolf Child was having a great time! Yezhi even caught a rabbit for them; she asked One Egg to clean it up and teach Wolf Child how to cook food. Staring at the charred rabbit meat in her hands, Wolf Child wondered why hers looked different from "Egg Brother's" leaves. 0

Sitting by the fire, One Egg and Yezhi exchanged smiles. Xiao Fang ran over to Wolf Child, shaking its head and saying, "Hehe, that's because you didn't have Xiao Fang helping you control the heat." This made Yezhi, who felt guilty about cheating, blush. The genuine-hearted One Egg comforted her, "Practice makes perfect; just keep trying! For now, let's eat!" He shared the golden-brown rabbit meat that was bubbling with oil between them. As Wolf Child gulped it down without caring about the hotness, she exclaimed, "Ouch!" but couldn't bear to throw it away. Amused, Yezhi used a soft branch to blow on it before tearing off a piece of tender rabbit meat as white as snow and placing it in Wolf Child's mouth. With bright eyes blinking in delight, she smiled broadly: it tasted so good—something she had never eaten before—"Fire" is truly magical. 0

Seeing how happy his Little Sister was while eating, One Egg, with an innocent grin on his face, wiped his own face and instantly turned into a big calico cat. Following their owner's command, Xiao Fang promptly captured a photo of his painted face. 0

With a four or five-pound rabbit, neither Yezhi nor One Egg ate much; most of it went into Wolf Child's belly. The last rabbit leg was carefully placed by her into the already tattered Cloth Bag. Then, Yezhi took out some more Milk Candy to sweeten her mouth. Although intrigued by the new candy, One Egg did not drool over it as he usually would. After emphasizing fire safety several times, they waved goodbye to the departing Wolf Child, who ran deep into the forest to share the rabbit leg with Big Wolf. This time, Yezhi didn't feel as sentimental; instead, she thought about making a thick winter coat for her. 0

Led by Xiao Fang, they returned to the village by nine o'clock at night. Even with night vision assistance on the mountain path at night, Yezhi felt quite uneasy; it reminded her of a year when she climbed Emei Mountain at eight o'clock with a flashlight amidst countless ghost stories and murder cases along the long hiking trail. 0

As soon as she entered the house, she was tightly embraced by Black Treasure, who thought "Mama Bear" had left again. 0

"Yezi, you're back!" At that moment, five or six people came out from inside. "Uncle Zhang, Uncle Yu, Village Uncle—what are you all doing here?" wondered Yezhi. 0

Aunt Zhou hesitated, her eyes filled with reluctance. "Little Leaf, we have to hurry back tonight!" Secretary Zhang knew that Yezi didn't want to leave, but after inspecting Zhoujiatun, he felt more confident about the vigorous development of rice cultivation. Director Yu collected soil, vegetable seeds, and rice seeds from Zhoujiatun to study back home; he was the most eager to return. 0

"I actually don't want to go; I actually want to stay," Yezi kept repeating this line from a song in her mind. Aunt Zhou packed two large bags of food for her, and she pulled Village Uncle into the house to whisper a few words. 0

"Yezi, you can rest assured. There’s an uncle watching over the house!" Yezi nodded and handed the bundle she brought back from the city to Village Uncle. "Village Uncle, I brought some things for everyone from the city; please take care of distributing them." 0

Village Uncle widened his eyes. "What are you bringing us for?" Yezi smiled and pulled out a piece of paper from the edge of the bundle. "Village Uncle, can you see if our village people can make what's drawn on this paper?" 0

Village Uncle examined the drawing closely; it looked like a pouch or a jar. "What is this?" 0

"This is a container needed for oil extraction, and where we should build our Oil Press Workshop. Village Uncle, you and the villagers should discuss it..." 0

Zhou Village Head listened attentively. "Can we use wood for the container?" Yezi nodded affirmatively. After explaining everything, she stepped out of the door and shouted, "Let's go!" 0

As they left the courtyard, Black Treasure thought they were going for a walk and happily trotted along. Aunt Zhou held onto Black Treasure, who blinked as if he understood something and growled softly. Yezi held back her urge to look back but cursed inwardly: why does every farewell have to be so emotional? Black Treasure... his growling made her eyes warm with tears. 0

She had wondered why no one in the village was sending Mountain Goods off with them; it turned out there were already three sacks in the Jeep along with her two large bags, making it quite cramped inside. 0

By the time they returned to the county town, it was already morning. Yezi carried her two large bags inside but had no mood for classes. She casually placed her things in the kitchen and went back to sleep. 0

Yezi didn't know how long she had been asleep until she was awakened by Zhang Ling's knocking at the door. Reluctantly putting on her clothes, she hurried to the yard and caught a glimpse of Xiaobinzi coming out in disheveled clothes as well; both of them paused in surprise. 0

Lin Haitao awkwardly adjusted his clothes. "You're back!" 0

The low, lazy "I'm back!" from Xiaobinzi electrified Yezhi's heart, and she gently responded with a "mm." Goodness, being handsome is already a privilege, and having a good voice too? Life is so unfair; she would rather Xiaobinzi had a lisp! 0

"You go back to sleep; I'm looking for you!" Yezhi gestured for Xiaobinzi to return to his room while she stepped forward to open the big door. Zhang Ling rushed into Yezhi's arms, happily exclaiming, "Sister Yezi, it's so good that you're back!" 0

"Sister, you're disturbing my dreams; that's very unethical," Yezhi complained. Zhang Ling stuffed her class notes into Yezhi's arms, saying, "Sister Yezi, I came to bring you the notes." Zhang Ling said this very obediently. 0

Yezhi seemed to have practiced changing her expressions as she held a smile and said, "Sister, I'm so touched! Thank you!" 0

Zhang Ling giggled, "Since you're so moved, how about we attend class together this afternoon?" Yezhi had initially planned to skip class for a day, but with Zhang Ling pulling her along, she reluctantly resumed her studies in the afternoon. 0

In the days following Yezhi's return to the county town, the weather grew increasingly cold. Getting out of bed in the morning became a challenge for her. Every day, under Xiao Fang's repeated urging and threats of being late, she begrudgingly crawled out the door. Not fully rested, she would usually fall asleep during the first class. Fortunately, she was clever; she called Xiao Fang out to record the class content and used the Light and Shadow Concealment Technique to create an illusion of paying attention. In reality, she had already slept like a pig. After getting enough rest during the day and having a hearty meal at night, she would lie in her warm bed watching 3D projections and listening to lectures while having Xiao Fang read along. Yezhi felt that life was finally comfortable! 0
