Su Fei'er was momentarily stunned, then suddenly burst into laughter as if she had heard a hilarious joke. "You, don't be naive! Who do you think you are? Do you really think you can have everything? Let me tell you, you're dreaming!"
The laughter abruptly stopped. Su Fei'er suddenly lunged at the Head of the Su Family, her other hand slipping a smaller dagger from her sleeve and pressing it against his neck. Her eyes were bloodshot, her expression twisted with rage as she shouted hysterically, "Don't come any closer! If anyone approaches, I'll kill him!"
The Head of the Su Family was taken aback by this sudden turn of events. He never expected that the Su Fei'er he had raised since childhood would turn into this.
I furrowed my brows, a hint of coldness flashing in my eyes, but I quickly regained my composure and spoke calmly to Su Fei'er. "Su Fei'er, calm down. Let go of Dad; we can talk this out."
"Talk? What is there to talk about?" Su Fei'er was extremely agitated. "You're all forcing me into a corner; what is there left to discuss?"
I looked at Su Fei'er, feeling a sense of helplessness. I knew that she was blinded by hatred and could not hear any persuasion.
"Su Fei'er, please calm down. This will only make things worse," Lu Jingchen also urged, his tone tinged with urgency.
But Su Fei'er seemed not to hear Lu Jingchen's words. She tightened her grip around the Head of the Su Family's neck, her sharp voice echoing in the banquet hall. "I, Lu Jingchen, I’ll say it one last time: get out of my way and let me leave here, or I will kill him!"
"Fei'er, calm down! Whatever it is, take it out on me; don’t hurt your dad!" I said while subtly stepping back and discreetly pulling out my phone from my pocket to send a text message.
"Don't try any tricks!" Su Fei'er keenly noticed my small movement. She pressed the dagger harder against the Head of the Su Family's neck, causing a line of blood to appear.
"I'm not trying any tricks," I raised my hands to show I meant no harm. "I promise to let you leave here, but you have to promise me not to hurt Dad. Can you do that?"
"Fine, I promise!" Su Fei'er agreed without hesitation. Right now, she just wanted to leave this place as quickly as possible and get far away from me.
"Fei'er, you..." the Head of the Su Family looked at Su Fei'er, his eyes filled with pain and disappointment.
"Shut up!" Su Fei'er shouted, interrupting the Head of the Su Family. "It's all because of you that I became like this, it's all because of you!"
I looked at Su Fei'er, a complex expression flashing in my eyes. She knew that the Head of the Su Family bore some responsibility for her current state, but none of that mattered now. The most important thing was to ensure the Head of the Su Family's safety.
"Alright, I promise you, I'll let you leave," I said to Su Fei'er, word by word.
Upon hearing my words, a hint of joy appeared on Su Fei'er's face. She held the Head of the Su Family hostage and began to back away step by step towards the banquet hall's entrance.
Lu Jingchen and I exchanged glances, both seeing a hint of worry in each other's eyes. But we also knew that now was not the time for rash actions; we could only stabilize Su Fei'er first and look for another opportunity later.
Su Fei'er brought the Head of the Su Family to the entrance of the banquet hall. She cautiously looked around to ensure no one was blocking her before quickly exiting the banquet hall with him, disappearing into the night.
Seeing this, Lu Jingchen and I immediately chased after them...

Lu Jingchen and I closely pursued Su Fei'er's figure, passing through brightly lit corridors and opulent halls until we finally arrived at the back garden of the Su Family Villa. The cold winter wind howled, causing the branches to sway and rustle.
"Fei'er, don't run!" I shouted from behind, trying to stop her, but it was as if she didn't hear me and only ran faster.
Su Fei'er moved swiftly, like a nimble cat in the night, disappearing behind dense bushes with just a few quick movements. Lu Jingchen and I followed closely behind, but it seemed that Su Fe'er was very familiar with the terrain here, always finding shortcuts to leave us behind.
Lu Jingchen furrowed his brows, scanning the surroundings with sharp eyes, and said in a low voice, "She is very familiar with this place. We need to be careful not to let her find us."
I nodded, took out my phone from my pocket, quickly operated it, and whispered, "I have tracked her location. Let's go."
Lu Jingchen and I followed the positioning on my phone, chasing after Su Fei'er. Before we knew it, we had left the Su Family Villa and arrived at a desolate area in the outskirts.
"What does she want? Why come to a place like this?" Lu Jingchen asked, looking at the barren landscape with confusion.
I didn't answer. He was intently focused on the phone screen, his expression growing increasingly serious as he said quietly, "It seems things are not that simple; there may be others behind her."
