The two million ring is not something Lexington cannot afford, but rather it is completely unnecessary. Moreover, although there is no distinction between the Admiral and the Fleet Girls, this is a wedding ring, which carries a different meaning. Therefore, Lexington hopes that this ring is "bought" for her by the Admiral, which is why she chose such an inexpensive one.
As for why she bought six rings at once, that really has nothing to do with Chuyang. Yes, he once had many Fleet Girls, but they were all virtual. Even though he later gained an intuitive understanding of the Fleet Girls through sudden images appearing in his mind, he essentially remains a stranger to each of them. Naturally, he could not harbor any thoughts of having one dragon and six phoenixes. Even when facing Lexington, he felt that their relationship was developing too quickly; let alone with those Fleet Girls he had yet to meet.
But this was Lexington's idea, and as for how she came up with it, Chuyang truly did not know.
In fact, according to Lexington's thoughts, these rings are simply not enough. After she and Chuyang each wear one, four will be left. It should be noted that aside from her, the first fleet of the Naval Base also included five others, including her sister Saratoga. The affection these five have for the Admiral is no less than hers. Additionally, Akagi from the First Carrier Division, the fleet caretaker Helena, President Washington, and former fleet mainstays Nelson and Rodney all have feelings for the Admiral.
When the Admiral had not yet appeared, they could argue endlessly over who would claim him. Now that the Admiral has truly appeared before them? So the number of rings is still lacking; however, her Admiral is currently broke and can only wait until he gets paid later to complete the set.
Of course, Lexington has considered whether they might already be married to someone else. But as for others having that possibility—like Enterprise, Missouri, Lion, Essex and others—since they have been sitting on the sidelines since arriving at the Naval Base without being utilized at all, they must have long harbored grievances against the Admiral! After such a long absence of the Admiral, it's hard to say what their current situation is. But these few will definitely not betray him. Take Helena for example; she arrived at the Naval Base just slightly later than Lexington and was initially a key member of the first fleet. The Admiral even bought her a bikini swimsuit. However, later on due to the arrival of Richelieu and Bismarck among others, she was reassigned out of the first fleet. Even so, the Admiral still valued her highly and entrusted her with managing the mischievous Destroyers at the Naval Base. Therefore, she would never betray him.
Next are Nelson and Rodney; they are also absolute veterans within the Naval Base. They were forced out of the first fleet due to being slow ships but both sisters are diligent types who would never break their promises as long as they do not see the Admiral's corpse. So there’s no need to worry about their loyalty to him. However, if Bismarck were to try to steal him away—that would be another story altogether. It is rumored that Richelieu is a product of their love... Of course, Lexington knows this is impossible but it does show that Bismarck and Nelson share an extraordinary relationship. One can only hope that Nelson did not encounter Bismarck after leaving the Naval Base. Regardless, it doesn’t matter; can women really put a green hat on the Admiral? Surely he wouldn’t mind if Bismarck and Nelson were together.
As for Richelieu, she seems aloof and appears to dislike discussing matters concerning the Admiral too much. But can you expect a devout believer to remarry? That would go against her beliefs.
Additionally, within the first fleet there are two pairs of sisters; one pair is undoubtedly Lexington and her sister Saratoga! The elder sister surely knows what kind of personality Saratoga has; thus Saratoga must still be single like before!
As for the other pair of sisters Bismarck and Tirpitz—no matter how much Lexington does not want to admit it—Bismarck as a pure military figure obeys orders from the Admiral without question. Even if she thinks about being abandoned by him like before, as long as no formal order has been given by him, she remains his little cat. Her sister Tirpitz appears indifferent towards everything; lazy and reclusive, always hiding in her room reading manga. Yet like Bismarck, she also holds onto her own convictions.
Akagi is a core figure among the Japanese Fleet Girls at Naval Base—a gentle woman of Yamato Nadeshiko type. Just thinking about her very traditional character makes Lexington realize that she too is a woman who waits day and night for her husband’s return in solitude.
By the way, speaking of Prince of Wales, Lexington started to feel a bit worried. She remembered that during their time at Naval Base, Prince of Wales seemed to have developed a tendency towards becoming a Deep Sea Shipgirl due to Admiral's prolonged absence. She wondered if, after all these years, Prince of Wales had completely transformed into a Deep Sea Shipgirl. If that were the case, it would be quite problematic. Should she tell Admiral to prioritize finding Prince of Wales after locating her sister Saratoga?
Finally, there was only Washington left among the American Fleet Girls. Although she served as Admiral's Secretary Ship and Wedding Ship at Naval Base, before Washington's arrival, she was the absolute backbone among the American Fleet Girls. However, after Washington came, aside from her sister Saratoga, the other American Fleet Girls were more willing to listen to Washington. Even when Enterprise later appeared at Naval Base, this situation remained unchanged. Washington often considered herself as Admiral's "buddy," and she was the one who resolved various conflicts among the Fleet Girls for Admiral. Many times, her phrase "give me some face" could settle numerous disputes. If that didn't work, Washington's "Fallen Cherry Blossom Divine Axe" was not something to be taken lightly.
Lexington had heard Washington say that she really wanted to slam that axe down on the table between two arguing individuals, but unfortunately, she had never found the opportunity.
Such a person who constantly thought about Admiral and valued camaraderie above all else would never betray Admiral.
Oh no, it seemed she had forgotten about two individuals. Back at Naval Base, whether it was the imposing Prince of Wales, the aloof Richelieu, or the Yamato-like Akagi, honestly speaking, no matter how much they were favored by Admiral, Lexington never felt particularly worried. However, whenever it came to facing them, Lexington always felt a sense of crisis rising within her.
