To be honest, the way the two Lolis were eating just now was quite frightening. If they were just ordinary little girls instead of Fleet Girls, Lexington would have stopped them long ago, fearing they might upset their stomachs.
Nevertheless, they really did eat quite a lot, as if they hadn't eaten for many days.
This undoubtedly piqued Lexington's curiosity and compassion, making her eager to know what Bluefin Tuna and Shooting Fish had experienced after leaving the Naval Base.
"Lexington Sister, we are really so pitiful," said Shooting Fish, tears welling up in her eyes as she looked at Lexington with a pair of sorrowful big eyes.
As the saying goes, "The crying child gets candy." Regardless of how difficult their previous lives were, they set a tragic tone first. Even if their lives weren't that miserable, others would assume they were having a hard time.
Although Shooting Fish's storytelling was indeed somewhat exaggerated and Bluefin Tuna occasionally added embellishments, it was true that the two Lolis had not lived well in the past.
Initially, filled with ambitions of traveling around the world when they left the Naval Base, after sailing for over a month on the sea, they finally set foot on land but encountered unexpected difficulties.
Before departing from the Naval Base, Shooting Fish had thought everything through. She prepared all necessary items such as fuel, ammunition, change of clothes, and a large bag of food but completely forgot to bring money.
But this couldn't be blamed on little Kiddo; during their time at the Naval Base, everything—food, clothing, and supplies—was provided for free. So the Lolis had no awareness of this. After enduring over a month of hard sailing and exhausting their supplies, when they finally reached land and planned to find a hotel in a coastal town to rest and treat their hungry stomachs to a good meal, they realized they had no money at all.
At that moment, if it weren't for a kind-hearted old lady who took in Bluefin Tuna and Shooting Fish, the two Lolis would have likely ended up sleeping on the streets in the cold wind and rain.
Later on their journey, these two naive Lolis faced numerous hardships as they entered society. If they weren't powerful Fleet Girls, they probably would have been taken advantage of by bad people long ago.
Although in the later days, the two Lolis gradually improved their lives due to their experiences and their inherently cunning personalities, they still lived a life of scarcity most of the time. Especially regarding the supply of four key resources, it was generally difficult to obtain such Military Supplies on the market due to strict control by the World Government and Naval Headquarters. As for the black market, while there were supplies available, the prices were prohibitively high, and the two Lolis simply did not have that much money. Therefore, in most cases, they resorted to "stealing" to replenish their resources.
Additionally, concerning the issue of stealing, if at first the two Lolis were frequently caught due to their inexperience, later on, there was a more intentional element involved. The reason was simple: if they were caught by the Fleet Girls at the Naval Base, they would no longer have to worry about food.
There was no choice; after all, the two Lolis were extremely rare Submarine Shipgirls, which posed a deadly temptation for most Admirals.
Once they were caught, those Admirals did not think about how to punish these sneaky little thieves but instead focused on how to take care of them with delicious food and drinks like Bluefin Tuna and Shooting Fish.
It was precisely because of this that whenever times got tough or resources ran low, the two Lolis would visit a Naval Base and pretend to be accidentally discovered, just to trick their way into some food and drink for a while. On their way out, they would also make off with a large stash of resources.
Thus, one should never judge things solely by appearances. When you think you've gained an advantage and feel smug about it, it often signifies the beginning of misfortune. The Admirals who had been tricked by the two Lolis were the best proof of this.
"Thieves! You really bring shame to us Fleet Girls."
After hearing the two Lolis' account, Andrea Doria's words were filled with sarcasm.
If Bluefin Tuna and Shooting Fish were truly cunning and vengeful, then Andrea Doria's cleverness was not much better. Their feud had already begun when Bluefin Tuna and Shooting Fish referred to Andrea Doria as "Flat Deck."
"We are thieves; so what! You would definitely starve in that situation."
"I wouldn't! You can ask Lexington Sister; before she found me, I was supporting myself by working for others."
"Even so, what does that prove? A flat deck is still a flat deck." Bluefin Tuna puffed out her chest slightly larger than that of "Little Lotus Bud."

"Alright, everyone sit down quietly."
Seeing that the two sides were about to argue again, Lexington hurriedly spoke up to stop them. Although her smile remained gentle, the undeniable tone in her words was clear to everyone.
In the following conversation, Andrea Doria did not interject again. However, from the tight fist she was clenching, it was evident that Kiddo had not let go of her anger, so Naval Base was destined to be lively for a while.
"Lexington Sister, you said Admiral went to Europe to find Tirpitz Sister, but Tirpitz has long since left that place!"

Before Lexington could respond, she was already giving her cousin a lesson.
"Shooting Fish, be careful or I'll hit you."
"I want Grilled Mackerel for breakfast tomorrow."
