As we walked along, apart from the variously colored and oddly shaped plants, we rarely encountered the loft-style buildings where we had previously rested. Moreover, the way the Wild Ghost was familiar with that place suggested it was his territory. 0

It was clear that having a loft here signified a certain status. I increasingly doubted the relationship between the Wild Ghost and the Demon Clan; not just doubted, but was almost certain that the Wild Ghost had lived here at some point. However, since Silver Moon trusted the Wild Ghost, I would too. I looked at his back with complex feelings, suppressing my inner questions. 0

Deep within the flower garden stood a delicate two-story wooden house, which was quite elegant and fitting for the surroundings. I imagined that its owner must be a graceful beauty, with even the garden around the house meticulously trimmed. Upon closer inspection, it seemed that the owner should be a couple who were very affectionate towards each other… 0

All the flowers were Twinflowers, exuding a sense of closeness and intimacy. This place might not be as splendid or magnificent as the palaces I had visited before, but I found myself falling in love with it at first sight. There was an ordinary yet delicate emotion blooming here that outsiders like us could never truly enter; I suddenly felt a pang of envy. 0

“Stop!” A voice came from an ancient tree at the entrance of the wooden house before we could take a step inside. 0

The Wild Ghost ignored it and led us straight toward the house. 0

“Bold intruders! Who are you? Stop immediately!” A sudden gust of strange wind swept in. 0

The Wild Ghost's Seven-Colored Flower floated out, shining with an eerie light, easily dispelling the wind attack. I was taken aback; I had seen that flower's attack power before, but it seemed to have become even stronger! The wind force had reached the Realm of the Supreme Lord and was effortlessly repelled?! 0

“I did not know Your Highness had arrived; please forgive me!” The ancient tree instantly transformed into an old man in his seventies or eighties, hunched over with a cane, his white hair making him appear somewhat spirited. 0

However, regarding what the old man referred to as "Your Highness"— 0

“Get lost.” The Wild Ghost coldly uttered two words. 0

I took a step back, and White Soul beside me supported me, signaling me to relax my tightly clenched fists. I could only look on in confusion and helplessness… 0

I had suspected a connection between the Wild Ghost and the Demon Clan but never imagined he was actually one of them—what’s more, a prince?! 0

"The Demon Emperor is not here and has left a message that no one is allowed to enter," the old man said, looking troubled. It seemed he was quite afraid of the Wild Ghost. 0

"What if I insist on going in?" the Wild Ghost replied coldly, treating him more like an enemy than a fellow clansman. 0

"I know it's foolish to confront Your Highness, but I will risk my life to guard this place," the old man said, showing no intention of backing down. 0

The two sides were at a stalemate. I patted White Soul's hand and nodded; I would gradually accept this reality. However, I seemed to sense the presence of the Life Stone. 0

Could it be hidden inside this wooden house?! 0

This is bad; it seems a large number of creatures are moving toward us! 0

I turned my head to witness a surprising scene: humanoid figures were emerging from the plants. Soon, we were surrounded by a dense mass, making escape impossible. 0

They were all demons! On the ground and in the air, they stared at us without moving. 0

"What’s going on?" I asked nervously. This was no joke; gathering so many demons indicated that things had escalated seriously, yet I still knew nothing. 0

"The Wild Ghost wants to take the Light Stone, and they naturally won't allow it," White Soul said with a frown. But he seemed much calmer than I was, as if he had anticipated this situation. 0

"If the Wild Ghost takes the Light Stone, everything here will disappear and return to its original state." 0

Recalling what White Soul had told me about the origins of the Demon Abyss, I couldn't help but understand why the Wild Ghost's actions were terrifying for the demons. 0

"Are you all coming here to seek death?" the Wild Ghost said. 0

I could sense that those demons were afraid of the Wild Ghost, yet none chose to step back. 0

"Then let them all die," the Wild Ghost said with a light laugh. 0

As he spoke, he raised his right hand and slowly removed the mask from his face... 0

I trembled and covered my mouth, unable to scream. How could this be?! 0

Purple Eyes and White Hair, with thin lips pressed together and a cold sense of detachment, there was a seven-colored flower mark between his brows, just like the one in his hand, extremely exquisite. This was not the reason for my shock; rather, it was that this Wild Ghost's appearance bore an uncanny resemblance to Silver Moon—except for the hair color and facial expression, they were basically identical! 0

Suddenly, a series of fragmented messages flashed through my mind, piecing together anew. Gradually, my breathing became rapid; there was an answer that was on the verge of being revealed. I kept denying it, but in the end, only that answer remained: this Wild Ghost is him— 0

"Did you guess it?" White Soul asked. 0

I looked at him; White Soul's eyes were filled with clarity, igniting a nameless anger within me. Indeed, they knew everything! 0

Sighing, I realized I couldn't say much; everyone had untold pasts—no one could be blamed. 0

The shock did not end there; another event unfolded that left me disheartened and hopeless... 0

"They can't touch you; I'll handle it." 0

If there really were "ifs," could we choose to regret? Then many things wouldn't happen, and there wouldn't be feelings of heartbreak for those we once trusted so deeply... 0
