Gentle sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, casting faint patches of light in the dim environment, creating a beautiful scene, though the bloodstains on the ground marred this unique beauty.
Scarface and his remaining two subordinates were covered in blood, huddled together in terror as they watched the Queen Ant voraciously chewing on the corpse of their companion, trembling in fear. This Queen Ant was an astonishing five meters long and three meters high, with her abdomen comprising two-thirds of her total volume.
Each time she moved her vile antennae, a three-meter-long Worker Ant would swiftly drag a person away and place them beneath the Queen Ant's mouth. With a snap of her massive jaws, she would sever the person in half, quickly devouring them while their body still twitched.
Terrifyingly, as she consumed flesh, the Queen Ant's size seemed to change continuously; her abdomen grew larger, even making it possible to vaguely see an ant egg the size of half a chicken egg inside her belly.
Want to escape? There were still five two-meter-tall Worker Ants lurking nearby, watching them intently, making them so frightened that they breathed cautiously. Finally, one Ability user capable of metal transformation could no longer endure the terrifying atmosphere and decided to make a desperate attempt to escape. However, as soon as he activated his Ability, the five ants charged at him immediately, biting down hard. The jaws of these ants shattered his defenses and tore him apart completely, his screams echoing throughout the cave!
A body that could not be pierced by a knife after metal transformation was shredded by these ants, indicating that their jaws were significantly harder than his transformed body!
Moreover, within a distance of ten meters, these ants reached him in just three seconds—truly resembling speed evolvers. Compared to these five ants, the vast Ant Army outside seemed almost cute because although they were formidable, they could not break through the defenses of a metal Ability user during transformation; they could only rely on numbers to exhaust the user's energy until they had to withdraw their defense...
"Thud."
The head of this Ability user rolled over to two Ant Faces that had yet to react, still bearing an expression of pain and disbelief. It seemed as if its owner could not comprehend why he had met such a gruesome end at the jaws of ants—creatures he could have easily killed with just a finger before.
With his death, the scent of blood thickened in the air, prompting the Queen Ant to move her antennae again. In the next moment, the largest Worker Ant immediately seized this Ability user's head and brought it to the Queen Ant's mouth for her enjoyment. Then it stayed beside her quietly, waiting for her to finish eating...
Ten minutes later,
Scarface sat alone in a corner, his eyes darting around nervously.
The last time the Worker Ant came to capture someone, he pushed one of his subordinates out in front of him, watching with a numb smile as the subordinate was devoured, even as the dying eyes glared back at him with resentment. His crazed gaze spoke volumes: "What does it matter if I push you? I can even push my own child out to block a Zombie, let alone you! I've sacrificed so much; no matter what, I have to be the one who survives until the end!"
He watched with a sinister grin as his subordinate was slowly consumed, leaving only a head behind. His lips began to tremble uncontrollably because he knew it would soon be his turn, and there was no escaping it!
"Hahaha, eat it all! Eat it all! Hahahaha!" Scarface suddenly laughed maniacally, but when the Queen Ant completely devoured the head, Scarface began to cry out in desperation: "Wuwuwu, don’t eat me! Wuwuwuwu."
At that moment, he was like a madman, both crying and laughing, muttering to himself while shaking his hands and head. Yet the Queen Ant still turned her gaze toward him.
In the next second, the Queen Ant seemed to feel immense pain; her mandibles clashed together with a metallic grinding sound, and her abdomen swelled to its limit.
"Thud."
A white Ant Egg fell from the end of the Queen Ant's abdomen, followed by another, and another...
At this moment, Liu You'er was utterly bewildered because she realized something quite amusing!
She was lost! Rubbing her aching forehead, she couldn't help but think: How did I turn into a Zombie and still get lost? And these ants are too playful; they built their nest like a world maze! Although it was cute how those ants avoided her like she was dirt, if she couldn't find Scarface, she wouldn't be able to locate the Queen Ant. Without finding the Queen Ant, how could she eliminate it? Moreover, she was counting on Scarface to grant her permission to sneak into the base without undergoing a body check!
Aside from the sound of ants scurrying about, there was complete silence. Sitting despondently on the ground and counting the weeds around her, Liu You'er suddenly remembered that she could sense her surroundings within a 100-meter radius. Cursing under her breath, "Becoming a Zombie has made me stupid," she closed her eyes.
As her perception expanded, the underground maze began to slowly come into focus. Even the busy ants running around inside formed vivid images in her mind.
She realized that if she circled around a few more times, she would be able to find the Queen Ant.
In the opposite direction of the Queen Ant, there was a pile of Ant Eggs that could rival the energy of First-Level Zombies! This made her even more concerned; if these eggs hatched, it would definitely result in another batch of terrifying combat power! Not wanting to face such a horrifying force, Liu You'er turned and walked towards the storage area for the Ant Eggs.
"Oh my gosh," even though Liu You'er was already accustomed to various strange occurrences, she was still stunned by the sight before her. There were probably over a thousand Ant Eggs here! Moreover, each one contained Second-Level energy, and there were even two that were already at Level Two despite still being eggs! Just how powerful would they be in the future!
And! Although she had turned into a Zombie, her consciousness was still intact! Why did she have such an intense craving for the Ant Eggs? Why was her saliva flowing like a waterfall? Silently wiping her mouth clean, Liu You'er decided to follow her inner choice...
After five minutes, following Liu You'er’s nth swallow, she finally stored the last batch of Ant Eggs into her space. God knows how much self-control she had to exert while collecting these eggs! Of course, she didn’t forget to disperse the tiny consciousness within them; otherwise, if she discovered a swarm of ants running around after putting them into her space, she thought she would collapse.
If only the Queen Ant knew that all eight eggs laid by Ability Users had been killed and stored by Liu You'er, that scene would surely have been spectacular.
