The disheveled man sat at his computer desk, casually crossing his legs. His gaze seemed nonchalant, but it was filled with the excitement of a cat playing with a mouse.
He stared intently at the Number One Computer, his right fingers rhythmically tapping on the desk, a slight smile playing at the corners of his mouth, indicating he was in a good mood. This made the assistant standing beside him break into a cold sweat, silently mourning for the person who had piqued the man's interest.
Although the six people on the screen appeared tense, they remained calm and maintained perfect formation. Even when over twenty Zombies had suddenly appeared last time, they handled it with ease. Just half an hour had passed, and all the Zombies in the supermarket had been cleared.
The man in front of the computer yawned out of boredom, leaning back in his chair with tears in his eyes. Lazily, he shifted his gaze to the Second Computer, which displayed footage of the supermarket entrance. At that moment, a small car entered the camera's view, causing the man's fingers to stop tapping on the table. Although he still looked soft and harmless, there was an aggressive glint in his eyes that made the female assistant tremble uncontrollably.
The man seemed oblivious to her unease and said expectantly to the computer screen, "The show is about to begin!"
Then he pressed a button with his left hand…
At the same time, somewhere on the second underground level, a pair of crimson eyes suddenly opened wide.
Wang Luojie looked around at the now-cleared Zombies but did not appear happy. Instead, he furrowed his brows tightly, feeling something was off. It was like a struggling student thinking an exam was easy while a top student insisted it was incredibly difficult—a strange sensation.
The monkey and Wang Luojie had grown up together and understood each other well. Wang Luojie's obvious worry prompted the usually cheerful monkey to quietly ask what was wrong.

Then, this man who stood at nearly six feet tall released his hold and placed the fallen rice back into the hands of Lu Feng, whose face was flushed. He turned and walked into the warehouse. Although his steps were steady and his expression remained unchanged, upon closer inspection, one could see that the area around his ears was reddening as if it were about to bleed.
Lu Feng, still dazed, placed the rice back into the car but felt his heart racing. After a moment, he suddenly sensed that something was off about the surroundings. He looked around carefully and noticed that although there were a few cars at the supermarket entrance, that small sedan... seemed to be new.
His brows furrowed as he rushed into the supermarket and said to Wang Luojie, "It looks like there's an extra car outside!"
"What?"
Upon hearing this, Wang Luojie's expression tightened, a flicker of complexity passing through his eyes. He turned to the others and said, "Let's go! We can't stay here!"
"Huh?"

Since they were on the basement level, they were entirely engulfed by darkness!
At that moment, not a single person made a sound; even their breathing was barely audible. They feared that some creature hidden in the darkness would seize them the moment they made any noise and drag them away...
