Liu You'er looked at Li Lei's pained expression and exerted a pressure on him to prevent him from dying at the hands of the Zombie. She sarcastically said, "You look like this even before breaking through the base?! Hmph, useless."
Li Lei remained on his knees, pounding the ground. Upon hearing Liu You'er's words, he only stiffened momentarily and showed no other reaction.
Liu You'er turned away, snorted coldly, and ignored Li Lei any further.

At that moment, all remaining soldiers of the base were guarding C Zone.
This included over two thousand Ability users, all geared up and ready to fight to the death. The base was surrounded by a horde of corpses; unless they had Wings or Liu You'er’s Teleportation ability, there was no way to escape!
Liu You'er watched as the humans stood there in a protective stance. Her eyes shifted, and a strange smile briefly appeared on her lips.
She calmly shouted to the humans, "I have no grievances with you. I do not wish to indiscriminately kill innocents; I only seek revenge! You are not involved in this matter. If you do not resist me, I will spare your lives! Of course, no bringing your families along! I do not want my subordinates going hungry."
Upon hearing this, the humans fell silent for a moment before erupting into chaos. They were astonished that a Zombie could speak human language and realized they had a greater chance of escaping the Horde! A greater chance of survival!
In this apocalypse, being alive was an incredibly tempting condition!
However, despite the commotion in the crowd, no one dared to move.
Staying among the crowd might be safer; who could guarantee that this Zombie wouldn’t go back on her word if they stepped out?
Liu You'er seemed to understand their concerns. She smirked slightly and said in a deep voice, "What? Do you think my sincerity is lacking? Do you not believe me?"
With a scoff, she laughed lightly as the Horde parted, leaving a path about two meters wide.
Watching the crowd, she noticed that many people were beginning to show greedy glances, eager to act but unwilling to be the first to take the plunge. Disdain filled her heart as her patience was quickly wearing thin, and a surge of irritation rose within her.
Impatiently, she said, "If you don't run, then just die here! One minute from now, and I won't give you the chance to escape!"
As soon as her words fell, a tall figure slowly emerged from the crowd. His elegant and handsome face was filled with sorrow, as if he had witnessed something utterly unbelievable. His voice trembled slightly as he said, "Liu You'er? Is that really you?"
Upon recognizing the person’s face, Liu You'er raised an eyebrow and thought to herself: Not bad, finally someone is stepping up. Oh? It's him; he looks much darker now.
Watching him rush through the horde towards her, his eyes seemingly filled with tears and guilt, Liu You'er felt speechless. However, she had no intention of probing further; she simply thought this guy was strange since they weren't even close!
Nevertheless, seeing many people rush out due to his "encouragement," some even resorting to beating and dragging their companions in a desperate attempt to escape—such ruthless behavior made her click her tongue in surprise. One might think they had a grudge against each other!
Of course, these disgusting faces lightened her mood a bit. Retracting her gaze, she smiled at Wang Luojie but spoke in an unusually cold tone: "There are forty-five seconds left."
Hearing Liu You'er’s words seemed to hit Wang Luojie hard, prompting Liu You'er to roll her eyes internally.
Meanwhile, Qiaoyue had caught up and gave Liu You'er a complex look before pulling Wang Luojie away.

It was clear who would win between the demoralized humans and the spirited Horde. Liu You'er wanted exactly this effect! As for those who fled, hmph—facing tens of thousands of Common Zombies, they might not even survive.
At that moment, the humans began to fire their guns, and the Ability users started unleashing various Abilities.
However, the Horde surged forward, charging at the less than half of the remaining humans...
Wei Yuan observed the situation on the monitor, his fingers flying across the keyboard. A black, semi-transparent barrier appeared from a hundred meters above the base, completely enveloping Base A, B, and C.
The humans were bewildered by this barrier because any bullets or Abilities that touched it vanished without a trace. Meanwhile, Zombies that came into contact with it instantly turned to white smoke and disappeared into thin air.

Stopped?! How did Zombies die if the gunfire had ceased?!
Liu You'er was alarmed and hurriedly ordered the Horde to stop attacking. She rushed to the front and saw that strange barrier. Her pupils dilated with a red glow as she gritted her teeth and said, "Wei Yuan! I will definitely kill you!!!"
Wei Yuan looked at Liu You'er’s furious expression on the screen and discerned her lip movements. He replied with delight, "Do you like my new research~?"
