Xiaomin looked at the green giant python and felt a surge of energy slowly emerging from within her, taking on a transparent, thread-like form that penetrated the python's pores and entered its body, moving towards its Heart. Just as she was about to close in on the Heart, she heard a voice.
"Xiaomin."
"Huh?"
Startled by the voice, Xiaomin turned around in disbelief to see Lan Ling bathed in moonlight, radiating a faint glow as he looked at her. Although he still had an icy expression, there was something different.
"Ow ow ow!!!"
Seeing Lan Ling, Xiaomin immediately ran up to him, shouting and hitting him to vent her frustrations.
Although Lan Ling felt no pain, being inexplicably hit and scolded left him quite confused; after all, he was a Zombie King!
He grabbed Xiaomin's shoulders, ready to push her away, but paused and silently let go.
"Sigh~ forget it."
Lan Ling looked up at the sky, feeling bored from being hit and unsure when Xiaomin would stop. He lowered his head and suddenly noticed a silly hair sticking up on Xiaomin's head. For some reason, his hand moved on its own to touch it and even rubbed it down, trying to flatten it. To his surprise, Xiaomin actually stopped.
The night was cool as water, the mist gradually dissipated, and the moonlight became exceptionally bright, generously casting its glow on the two of them as they locked eyes, as if coating them in a layer of golden light...
Inside the base
Liu You'er glanced around the room and found that although there wasn't much furniture, everything was complete. The space was small but very clean, with items arranged in an extremely orderly manner, giving off a feeling of emptiness.
"Lord of the City, why don't you sleep in my room tonight? I'll take the sofa, is that okay?"
Liu You'er had been admiring the room when she heard Xuan Mo's words. She raised an eyebrow, an unknown glimmer flashing in her eyes as she looked at him mischievously.
"Oh dear~"
Liu You'er comfortably sat on the soft sofa, using her mind to sense her surroundings. After confirming there were no surveillance devices or listening bugs, she felt at ease and headed to her room.
Just as she locked the door, a wave of drowsiness hit her like a tidal wave. She quickly placed the feigning-dead Xiaohong on the bed, ignoring the latter's dissatisfaction, and hurriedly said to Xiaohong, "Call me if someone comes!"
Then, she vanished from her spot and, once inside her space, finally relaxed and fell asleep on the bed.
“...”
Xuan Mo stood at the front door in a daze, silently glancing at the door. Her lips moved slightly, but she ultimately walked away in silence.
At dawn, in the Survivor Base Conference Room
Liu You'er looked at the "conference room," which was merely an ordinary room with white walls and marble floors. There were large windows on all four sides, allowing sunlight to flood in and brighten the space.
In the center of the room was a solid wood table measuring five meters long and one and a half meters wide. Around the table sat a dozen people who appeared fierce and intimidating. Upon seeing Liu You'er enter, they all turned to look at her with piercing gazes.
Liu You'er observed their expressions—some fearful, some wary, some cunning—and her eyes darkened. The only commonality was that after glancing at her, they hurriedly turned back to chat with those beside them, clearly trying to assert their dominance.
"Ha ha, asserting dominance."
A hint of mockery flashed through Liu You'er's mind as she walked straight to the main seat and sat down without even sparing them a glance. Xuan Mo silently stood by the exit, remaining as still as a stone statue.
The crowd watched Liu You'er lazily playing with her hair, completely ignoring them. They exchanged glances, bewildered.
Having long been oppressed by Lisa, they had decided to give this newcomer—a mere girl—a show of strength to make her aware of their standing.
However, upon seeing Liu You'er for the first time, their thoughts deepened. For some reason, this girl had white hair; though her demeanor was somewhat cold, she appeared to be just over twenty years old. She also had a rather silly-looking bird perched on her shoulder (Who looks silly? Come on, let's have a showdown!). She probably wasn't as twisted as Lisa.
As time passed slowly, although everyone continued to engage in "lively discussions," their attention was entirely focused on Liu You'er. Unfortunately for them, after playing with her hair, she began amusing herself with the bird and seemed to have completely forgotten about them...
Finally, one burly man couldn't hold back any longer. He slammed his fist onto the solid wood table with a loud bang, leaving an imprint of his fist on the surface. Everyone froze momentarily and turned their attention to this man.
Of course, aside from Liu You'er...
"Cough cough!"
Seeing that Liu You'er was ignoring him, the man pretended to cough in an attempt to get her attention. Unfortunately, Liu You'er still paid him no mind and instead gently tugged at a hair on the little red creature's head, provoking a series of squeaks in protest.
The man's face turned red as he noticed everyone looking at him, feeling embarrassed. He stood up, ready to speak, when he suddenly saw Liu You'er, who had been seven or eight meters away, appear right in front of him. The next moment, he felt a sharp pain on his face, and his entire body flew out of the window, landing on the ground unconscious.
"What just happened!"
Everyone was startled and hadn't reacted yet when they saw Liu You'er toss the hair she had been holding into the air. She dusted off her hands as if there was nothing there and expressionlessly mimicked the marks left by the big man’s punches before delivering a powerful blow.
"Boom!"
Liu You'er's fist, glowing with electric light, directly penetrated the table, causing a crackling sound from within. Not only that, but cracks began to appear all over the surface of the table before it exploded.
As feathers fell, Liu You'er caught one in her hand and started teasing the bird with it.
Due to her incredible speed, the entire sequence of actions took less than two seconds. The people beside the big man were initially startled by Liu You'er's sudden appearance but could accept it. However, now...
Everyone was terrified and ran toward the exit, unsure if her fist would come crashing down on their heads next!
Unfortunately, Xuan Mo quietly blocked their escape route. A few who attempted to jump out of the window were already lying on the ground, convulsing and foaming at the mouth.
With Xuan Mo in front and Liu You'er behind, everyone found themselves in a dilemma, completely at a loss. They had forgotten that all schemes were laughable in the face of absolute power, like tricks played by three-year-olds.
"Sigh~"
Liu You'er sighed, looking as if they were bullying her rather than her bullying them!
Everyone stared at Liu You'er with black lines on their foreheads, thinking: Wasn't it you who just sent that big man flying and shattered that solid wooden table? Why are you sighing?
Of course, everyone could only complain in their hearts, but on the surface, they still appeared fearful.
They heard Liu You'er say in a cool tone, "This person is really something; the meeting hasn't even started and they've already smashed the table, Xuan Mo."
"Yes."
"How much is this table worth?"
Xuan Mo thought for a moment and replied honestly, "100 jin of grain."
"Oh, when that person wakes up, remember to ask them to compensate."
"Understood."
Everyone: "..."
Liu You'er stretched lazily and then smiled at everyone, saying, "From now on, this base belongs to me. Do you have any objections?"
"No, no, how could there be any? Haha!"
One person said.
"That's right, that's right! You are the one everyone looks up to!"
Another person flattered.
Then everyone hurriedly began to flatter her, afraid that they would be too slow in their responses.
(The following is the content of the meeting)
"Thus and thus..."
"Like this, like this~"
"Alright~ The meeting is over~"
"Haah."
Everyone let out a deep breath and rushed towards the door as if fleeing for their lives, afraid to stay in the conference room for even a second longer.
"Hey, you in the Floral Shirt, don't run!"
The person in the Floral Shirt was startled, glanced at his outfit, and cursed himself for wearing something so flashy today! He then said ingratiatingly, "Lord of the City~ What can I do for you~"
"Show me around the base."
"Of course, of course~ Lord of the City, please follow me~"
The person in the Floral Shirt finished speaking and eagerly led Liu You'er out the door, with Xuan Mo closely following behind.
Suddenly, Liu You'er seemed to remember something and stopped in his tracks. He turned his head slightly and said, "Xuan Mo, you don't need to follow."
After a second, Xuan Mo stiffly replied, "Understood."
