Yue Xingze quietly followed Liu You'er, his ears slightly reddening, and the corners of his mouth involuntarily lifting, as if he were about to burst with happiness. The key point was the starry look in his eyes.
Ziche observed silently, embodying the role of a well-behaved child.
"You’re still as impressive as ever~"
"…It's alright."
"What level are you now?"
As soon as Yue Xingze asked, he felt a bit abrupt; after all, they hadn't seen each other for so long, and he immediately inquired about her strength.
Realizing this, his expression turned awkward. He scratched his head cautiously, not daring to look at Liu You'er, fearing she might blame him.
"Level seven."
"Mm?"
Level seven peak, almost level eight, currently breaking through.
Yue Xingze's entire expression could be described as bewildered. He didn't expect Liu You'er to tell him this. He broke into a big smile, his eyes shining like stars.
"I remembered you."
Just as happiness filled him for less than three seconds, those words felt like a bucket of cold water dousing him completely.

Liu You'er stopped and looked at him, saying, "Explain."
Yue Xingze bit his lip, kicked at the fallen leaves by his feet, and murmured, "I saw you... forgetting me. I was afraid... you would leave me again... So I thought, if you and I... had some kind of relationship, maybe you wouldn't go. In a moment of desperation, I said I was your boyfriend..."

Liu You'er looked at the boy who used to chase after her every day for "Dark Cuisine" with a sense of helplessness and sighed, "Where are your friends?"
"Are you going to leave after helping me?"
The boy across from her looked at Liu You'er with eyes like a wounded animal, as if she had committed some unforgivable act.
His gaze shifted slightly, but he still nodded firmly, ignoring the broken look in her eyes.
"Then... fine, I understand."
The boy walked ahead dejectedly, no longer speaking. They remained silent all the way until it was completely dark when they finally arrived at the entrance of a cave.
He carefully raised his finger to his lips, signaling for her to be quiet, then waved his hand for them to wait outside while he tiptoed inside alone.
"Hey, where is everyone?"
Liu You'er sensed something was wrong and wanted to go in, but then she heard a scream.
Yue Xingze's terrified cry echoed out. Liu You'er was still too slow; she rushed forward but found that there was a strange magnetic field here that restricted her Teleportation ability.
"Sister, this place feels uncomfortable. Let's go..."
Even Ziche could feel it...
She frowned, listening to the increasingly distant sound, and still took Ziche inside, saying in a low voice, "Stay close to me!"
As they ventured deeper into the cave, they found the terrain complicated, the path becoming increasingly slippery, accompanied by the sound of dripping water. The most concerning part was the surrounding darkness; Ziche was already clinging to Liu You'er's leg as they moved forward.
"Wow! An exit~"
Ziche spotted a glimmer of light and thought it was an exit, immediately running toward it. Just as Liu You'er pulled him back, he unfortunately slipped down a hole and fell to the ground.
The hole was small, only large enough for Ziche to fall through; Liu You'er couldn't follow. She wanted to break open the hole but feared it might collapse and hurt him.
"Ziche? Are you okay?"
After a moment of silence below, she heard his weak voice tinged with pain, "Sister, I'm hurt. It hurts so much."
Liu You'er's eyes flickered as she said, "Don't move around. I'll come down to find you."
"Okay."
Hearing his response, Liu You'er began searching for a way down, hoping to reach him quickly. In the distance, Yue Xingze's voice had become nearly inaudible; all she knew was that he had also been dragged underground.
Suddenly, a Wind Sound echoed, and she quickly turned her head toward the source but saw nothing.
The cave was too dark; however, she could use her Mental Power to determine her position. After a moment of adjustment, her eyes could see clearly again, so nothing unexpected happened. Still, she decided to take out a transparent thread from her space and wrap it around the jagged edges of the stone walls as markers.
In such a complicated terrain where the interior size was unknown, getting lost could be quite troublesome.
After a while, a figure appeared at her original location. With a slight curve of its mouth, it took the end of the thread and walked in another direction.
The sound grew fainter and echoed back; it was difficult to discern the exact source of the sound.
She stood still, closed her eyes, and maximized her hearing.
The sound of dripping water, dragging noises, breathing, and then...
"Whoosh"
As the Wind Sound echoed behind her, she suddenly opened her eyes and executed a spinning kick.
"Crack"
The sound of bones breaking accompanied by a heavy object hitting the ground. The figure in the corner let out two loud "ow" sounds before quickly fleeing, its speed not much slower than Liu You'er.
But the good thing was that Liu You'er finally saw who the enemy was.
"Cluck"
"Chirp"
"…"
Not long after the monster finished its call, a cacophony of sounds erupted, accompanied by the noise of limbs crawling on the ground, howling, and shrill laughter. Liu You'er raised an eyebrow and thought to herself: she really had never gotten along with these social animals, like ants, bat swarms, flocks of birds, and humans...

Yue Xingze was currently being dragged away by a creature over 1.7 meters tall, emaciated like a skeleton, resembling an orangutan with pointed ears but completely hairless. Its skin was red and smooth, and it was not only ugly but also dripped murky yellow liquid from its mouth, corroding shallow pits into the ground.

At this moment, it was making a sound similar to human laughter, moving agilely through the narrow, low passage, jumping up and down, causing Yue Xingze great distress as his body kept crashing against the protruding stone walls, leaving him covered in blood.
"Help me..."
He had already been attacked before, and his body was overloaded. Now facing a level five monster, he had no strength left to resist. The excessive blood loss made his voice weak and faint, but he believed that Liu You'er would definitely come to save him.
Suddenly, a howling sound came from a distance. The monster dragging him paused, quickly turned its head, and its grayish-white, soulless pupils suddenly showed a glimmer of anger. It then threw him aside and charged in that direction.
"Huh?"
Yue Xingze was initially curious about why the monster suddenly released him but quickly realized that direction was where he had been dragged from. In other words, Liu You'er was likely there.
"Cough."
He was startled and spat out blood. He stuffed something from his pocket into his mouth and forced himself to get up, leaning against the wall to catch his breath for a moment before quickly running in that direction.

"Sister, where are you?"
Ziche was lying in a small hole, feeling anxious.
He had twisted his ankle and was unable to move easily. His ability was only at the peak of Second-Level, unable to defeat even a Second-Level peak Zombie. Moreover, in this dark underground world, he felt like half-blind, only able to vaguely make out rough outlines.
To protect himself, he felt he couldn't stay in a place that could be easily discovered. He groped around and finally found a small hole, so he crawled in to hide.

He only heard a strange girl's laughter echoing, a sound that seemed to be right next to him yet far away, causing the hairs on his body to stand on end as he looked toward the cave entrance.

A small black shadow flashed by at incredible speed, and he couldn't see it clearly at all.
Though he wanted to crawl out and see what it was, he didn't dare to; he could only hold himself tightly.
Even though his mind was mature, he was still just a Five-Year-Old Child. Alone now, feeling both fear and dread, in this extreme silence, he could even hear his own breathing.
"Ow ow"
Unfortunately, misfortune never comes alone; two more strange sounds followed, their sonic power striking his head like needles. The sudden sharp pain made him involuntarily whisper "ouch."
Although he quickly covered his mouth, he realized that the sounds outside had stopped.
"Thud, thud, thud, thud..."
Now, the entire world was filled only with the sound of his heartbeat, echoing like thunder.
