After hearing the news from the Federal News Broadcast about the Dark Gold Soil Energy Mine, Rek frowned.
Currently, the citizens and military of the Star Alliance are still ignorant, believing that the discovery of this Dark Gold Soil Energy Mine is a good thing, while in reality, the outcome is completely opposite.
Rek remembers a report from the later stages of the war with the Alien Species, which documented some Dark Space information that had been concealed by the Star Alliance Military before the large-scale outbreak of the Alien Species. If the Star Alliance Federation had paid attention to the information recorded in those summaries at that time, the subsequent war between humanity and the Alien Species might have turned out very differently.
The summary included details about this Dark Gold Soil Energy Mine.
One month after the Star Alliance Federation discovered and began mining the Dark Gold Soil Energy Mine in Dark Space, a tragedy later named the "Golden Mine Incident" occurred.
The Golden Ant Alien Queen, which had been sleeping beneath the mine being exploited by humans from the Star Alliance, awakened. With the awakening of the Golden Ant Mother Body, numerous Alien Species ant swarms, each as large as a Hover Car, instantly destroyed all humans mining nearby and consumed nearby mechanical facilities.
The Star Alliance Military dispatched a Genetic Mecha Squad for heavy fire support from two Fortresses in Dark Space to destroy the Golden Ant Mother Body and take its remains for research.
Unfortunately, at that time, the Star Alliance Military did not learn from this small disaster and chose to conceal it, treating the awakening of this Golden Ant Swarm Mother Alien Species as an unexpected incident due to mining activities.
The Star Alliance Military did not anticipate that a year later, numerous Alien Species would continuously awaken from their dormant state in Dark Space. The number of awakened Alien Species and their awakening speed far exceeded what the Star Alliance Military had anticipated could be countered, and among them were intelligent Alien Species.
"Rek, what are you thinking about?" The Moon Goddess asked as she patted Rek's shoulder while he stood beside her in a daze.
"Nothing much. Alright, Moon Goddess, I'm a bit tired. Let's head back to rest! I need to go out tomorrow morning, and if all goes well, I should be back by noon," Rek said to the Moon Goddess beside him.
----
After returning home that evening, Rek and the Moon Goddess slept in separate rooms. However, lying on her soft bed in her room, the Moon Goddess couldn't fall asleep. The human world that Rek introduced her to today completely overturned all her previous worldviews.
Rek also couldn't sleep; he was thinking about how tomorrow morning he would receive his Genetic Mech from the Star Alliance Federation and could undergo embryo fusion. Rek was very excited.
He thought about how he would obtain his Genetic Mech years earlier than in his Previous Life. Now he felt that his body's potential had already surpassed that of his Previous Life after undergoing training with Devil Muscle Tearer arranged by the War God System. He believed he would live much better than in his Previous Life this time around.
---
The next morning, Rek dressed early in his new military academy uniform and greeted the Moon Goddess before leaving the hotel.
Entering the Military Supply Office, after passing the information level and identity scan of the electronic Wrist Communicator, Rek was informed by a soldier wearing a Military Supply Office badge to wait in the lobby.
"This batch can receive the Genetic Mech ahead of time, a total of fifty people: forty students selected through the college entrance examination and ten military soldiers. We will only begin the fusion of the Genetic Mecha Embryo once all fifty have arrived."
Rek found a corner chair in the Metal Hall and sat down.
Only twenty-seven people had arrived in the lobby, both male and female. Among them, seventeen were students dressed in academy-style military uniforms, while the remaining ten were soldiers in Star Alliance regular uniforms.
"Look at these rookie recruits, you seem so weak and fragile, yet you qualify for the Genetic Mecha Embryo. You must be one of this year's new recruits from the exam! You really are lucky; my grandpa and I earned our Genetic Mech on the battlefield with our lives. With your small frame, don't collapse during the Genetic Mech fusion!" A middle-aged overweight veteran standing not far from Rek spoke disdainfully.
The Overweight Veteran's words drew laughter from nine soldiers from the military who were also waiting to receive their Genetic Mech.
The nine soldiers began to gather around Rek, led by this Overweight Veteran, preparing to enjoy the spectacle.
More than ten students who had also secured their Genetic Mech slots through this year's college entrance examination looked at the strong soldiers and mostly lowered their heads deeply, not daring to cause trouble.
Before Rek could react, however, the War God System in his mind spoke up first.
"Ding dong, detecting nearby entities that insult and despise Host's abilities. As a parasite of the War God System, Host must strive to become the most powerful war god in the universe. The dignity of a war god must not be trampled upon; the honor of the War God System must not be scorned.
Issuing a temporary War God System mission.
Mission Name: The Untrampled Glory of the War God
Mission Requirement: Host needs to ensure that those who belittle and insult Host receive due Punishment within thirty minutes, making them repent for their ignorance.
Mission Completion Reward: As a Host of the War God System, maintaining the glory of the war god is an obligation for every War God System Host; no Reward is necessary.
Mission Failure Punishment: The glory of the war god cannot be trampled upon. If Host cannot restore the glory desired by the war god themselves, System will take control of Host's body and eliminate all living beings in the lobby, using their blood to cleanse their ignorance and sins."
"You are ruthless, System!" Rek said to the War God System in his mind, noticing the ten muscular soldiers who had just mocked him. These were all soldiers who had come down from the battlefield! They were so muscular that one of their arms was worth two of his.
But Rek knew he had no choice but to fight. If he didn't take them down and let the War God System determine that he had failed the mission, then when the War God System took over his body and went on a killing spree, it would be in the Star Alliance Military Supply Office!
If he killed so many people, Rek could only imagine that the outcome awaiting him would be either immediate execution or a life sentence of Punishment. At that point, there would be no chance for a Genetic Mech.
After undergoing training with the Devil Muscle Tearer in the Ancient Capital, Rek's physical strength had already recovered significantly.
Having survived over a decade of apocalypse in his Previous Life, his combat abilities were at least as strong as those of the soldiers surrounding him.
"System, if you keep this up, I will have no friends!" Rek complained to the War God System in his mind.
Quickly getting to his feet, Rek grabbed the metal bench beneath him and swung it fiercely at the head of the Fat Soldier in front of him.
With a loud "thud," the Fat Soldier was caught off guard by Rek's sudden retaliation. He hadn't expected Rek to fight back without saying a word and to hit so hard.
In a panic, the Fat Soldier instinctively sidestepped. Even so, the solid bench made of thick Metal Pipe still struck him on the forehead.
Blood gushed from the big guy's head as he collapsed to the ground with a heavy thud.
