"Alice. Do you want to choose to hold back the guard, or deal a fatal blow to Mother Bug?" Rek asked Alice beside him.
"Although I have the Fighting Saint Monkey, he is still in a weakened state and hasn't fully recovered. Moreover, my Genetic Mech level has been delayed this lifetime due to acquiring the Fighting Saint Monkey, so I can't quickly kill Mother Bug right now," Alice explained.
However, Rek was somewhat skeptical after hearing this. Alice had lived many lives and surely had a way to unleash a powerful attack, even if it might consume some of her items. Giving him the chance to kill Mother Bug this time must involve some hidden circumstances or dangers.
"Alright, I'll take responsibility for killing Mother Bug. It's settled then," Rek said, controlling his clone and agreeing with Alice.
Rek guided his clone using the Wrist Communicator, heading towards the dormitory assigned to him at the Super Soldier Academy.
He hadn't been to his dormitory yet; he had been staying in the infirmary before, and just as he left the infirmary, Principal Punishment had sent him outside to hunt down some Alien Species.
To his surprise, the route to his dormitory was the same as Alice's, and they eventually arrived in front of a room together.
Rek controlled his clone to slide the Wrist Communicator in front of the door, opened it, and walked inside.
Inside, he saw two Metal Beds against the walls on either side, along with some simple facilities; it was a double room.
On the right wall's Metal Bed, there was a cartoon-themed comforter, clearly indicating that someone was already using it.
On the left wall's bed, only the academy's standard bedding was neatly arranged.
Alice also entered the room and casually sat on the bed with the cartoon-patterned comforter on the right.
"Are we sharing a dorm? A co-ed dorm!" Rek's clone asked in surprise.
"It's been a week since school started. You just found out? I've been sleeping alone in the dorm for several days now, and it's a bit scary.
The dorms are assigned by class. There are only two of us in our class, so of course we share a room.
In the Star Alliance Military, soldiers share dorms regardless of gender!
But you better not do anything bad to me secretly! Otherwise, you'll face severe punishment from the Star Alliance Military," Golden-Haired Girl Alice said calmly, surprisingly starting to take off her school uniform jacket in front of Rek and changing into a yellow dress.
"You'd be the one to be scared!" Rek's clone said as he lay down on his bed to rest.
The next day, Rek instructed his clone to walk around the campus freely and familiarize himself with the surroundings.
Rek himself had been walking for a day and night in the Dark Space's Special Desert environment without resting. He was afraid that if he stopped, he would give up moving.
Finally, Rek saw a large mountain in the desert.
The Stone Mountain was barren, but from a distance, he could see some mechanical facilities moving in the valley.
"War God System, help me shield the detection in that valley so they won't notice me on their monitoring equipment. I want to enter the Dark Gold Soil Mine to steal special energy for you," Rek tried to communicate with the War God System in his mind.
"Everything in the universe belongs to the War God; Host should not describe it as stealing. The energy consumed to shield the detectors will need to be deducted from the energy obtained by Host," the War God System replied sternly.
"Fine, deduct it," Rek agreed with the War God System.
With the powerful War God System shielding the detection devices, Rek activated the auxiliary power system of Genetic Mech and sped towards the Dark Gold Soil Mine.
As long as he is not detected by the naked eye of any person or creature, theoretically, no detector can discover him as an intruder.
Rek arrived at the foot of Dark Gold Earth Mountain and activated the built-in detector of his forced armor, carefully avoiding the patrolling soldiers.
Fortunately, there were very few soldiers stationed at the currently operating Dark Gold Soil Mine, and the patrols were relatively lax.
Rek climbed from the back of the mountain valley, transforming the hands of his Genetic Mech into tentacles suitable for climbing to assist in his ascent.
After about an hour, Rek finally reached the middle of the Dark Gold Soil Mine and saw many mechanical facilities emerging from the bottom of the valley.
The Dark Gold Soil Mine should be underground in the valley. Rek cautiously descended along the mountain path.
It was now nighttime, and the environment in Dark Space was extremely harsh. The sky was overcast, and there were only a few main transport routes in the valley with lighting facilities; other lighting was on a timed rotation.
Rek calculated the timing of the lighting facilities and began to move towards the entrance of the underground mine.
Upon entering underground, Rek discovered that there were natural passages in the mine, along with some tunnels excavated by machines.
With numerous entrances densely packed together, Rek momentarily couldn't tell which way to go.
The voice of the War God System timely echoed in Rek's mind: "Host has approached Premium Dark Gold Soil energy crystals."
There are two locations with massive storage; Host should take the third passage on the right first, then turn right at the first fork, and proceed straight through the second fork—"
The War God System began guiding Rek through the maze-like underground mining passages, advising him to avoid a few scattered soldiers.
Rek was currently in Star Alliance Military's Genetic Mecha Armor Transformation state.
Some mining workers in protective gear in the underground mine mistakenly identified Rek as the military Genetic Mecha Warrior guarding the mine without a thorough inspection.
Rek arrived outside a large warehouse built underground and saw several transport vehicles carrying Dark Gold Ore continuously delivering the mined Dark Gold Soil Mine to this warehouse.
"This warehouse should be the storage point for Dark Gold Ore mined by the Star Alliance Military."
"War God System, if I devour all the Dark Gold Soil Mine, I will be discovered," Rek said to the War God System in his mind.
"Don't worry, Host. There is no need to devour all the Dark Gold Soil Mine. The War God System is a higher existence that only absorbs special energy and does not consume waste energy. Among the Dark Gold Soil Mine piled up in this warehouse, only a small portion consists of premium Dark Gold Soil, which can be absorbed by the System," the voice of the War God System echoed in Rek's mind.
Upon hearing this, Rek thought it was good to know that the War God System was selective, which put him at ease.
Taking advantage of the dim environment, Rek carefully crawled under one of the transport vehicles, pressing his arms and legs tightly against its underside to blend into the warehouse.
Once inside the warehouse, Rek found an opportunity to slip out from beneath the vehicle and hid behind a pile of ore.
Looking around, Rek observed that the interior of this warehouse was about the size of a small playground, filled with ore that reached two-thirds of its height.
The piles of ore were six to seven meters high.
"Ding dong. The System will project a virtual Coordinate map for you, Host. Go to the vicinity of the Coordinate point and stay there for more than three seconds; then the System will complete the absorption," the voice from the head of the War God System resonated in Rek's mind.
