Rek stood by the stone wall inside the pit, preparing and waiting for Alice to break through the wall, looking for an opportunity to control his clone and rush in.
Suddenly, Rek heard the voice of the War God System in his mind: "Ding dong, congratulations Host, due to your relentless efforts, the War God System has completed the first stage of basic repair by absorbing energy. Upon hearing the War God System in his mind, Rek realized it had evolved. The half head that had previously existed in his mind was now fully restored, with half a chest and a right arm growing beneath its neck.

Task Name: Chapter One of Earth's Self-Destruction in Parallel World Earth.
Task Description: The soul of Host will travel to a parallel world where there is no current passage to Dark Space. The Glorious Empire and the Star Alliance signed a peace treaty and subsequently maintained a ceasefire for one hundred years.
After one hundred years, both empires developed weapons that could shake the crust and secretly used these weapons to attack each other. Due to the unbearable strain from these weapons, Earth will explode in one month due to violent activity in its core.
Both empires are aware of Earth's impending self-destruction crisis, but it is too late.
Earth's self-destruction has become inevitable. To prevent this catastrophe, both nations collaborated to develop time-travel equipment that allows a person's soul to travel back over a hundred years to Earth and inhabit any person from that past time for one month, in order to avert this future disaster of Earth's self-destruction.
Host will parasitize their soul into the final selected test subject.
Task Completion Condition: The soul of Host must use the time machine to travel back over a hundred years to save Earth and prevent it from self-destructing a century later.
Mission Failure Condition: The Earth will self-destruct in over a hundred years.
Mission Completion Reward: Rewards will be randomly drawn based on the Host's performance.
Mission Failure Punishment: If the Earth self-destructs in the mission world, the Host will not return and will perish along with the Earth.
Friendly Reminder: The time required for this mission world is not equal to the time in the Host's current space-time. If the Host completes the mission, only three seconds will pass in the real world.
The mission is about to begin; please prepare yourself.
After hearing this, Rek was somewhat stunned: "War God System, you give me a dangerous mission, and call it a reward!" Rek shouted at the War God System in his mind.
However, just after saying that, Rek felt a tremendous pulling force from his soul, causing him to fall into a coma. When Rek opened his eyes again, he found himself inside a suspended metallic circular pod, wearing nothing. There were more than ten researchers in white lab coats nearby, adjusting data on their instruments.
"Warrior, you have passed numerous tests and have become our last hope to save this world.
Now, all the energy of the Federation and the Glorious Empire has been invested here. However, to shield against the effects of time-space changes, you only have three chances to travel back to a world over a hundred years ago. Each time you travel, you will control the body of a person from that era and can stay for one month.
If that person from over a hundred years ago is killed, your soul will return. Make good use of these three chances to save our Earth from destruction," an old professor in a white coat said to Rek.
Rek nodded in agreement and asked, "So I have three chances to change the fate of Earth's self-destruction. For my first travel, whose body will I control from over a hundred years ago? Is it controllable or random?"
"Theoretically, it can be controlled. You will first travel back to one hundred thirty years ago and control the body of a supervisor in a Star Alliance laboratory.
Your mission during this travel is to kill Scientist Bill before he comes up with the theory of the Earthquake Weapon and completely destroy all his research records related to seismic studies," said a military leader in a white coat to Rek.
"I guarantee I will complete the mission," Rek replied.
"Beginning time-space travel, connecting ion space, initiating countdown for travel, activating energy barrier---" commanded the supervisor in the research room.
The circular metal container that Rek was in spun rapidly, and the dizziness and nausea eventually caused him to lose consciousness.
When Rek opened his eyes again, he found himself lying on a large bed, his body feeling plump; he had taken over the body of a fat man.
Fortunately, Rek noticed that there was no one else in the room.
He got up and tried to move his arms and legs to familiarize himself with this new, overweight body.
It seemed that he had successfully crossed over; he had returned to a parallel world, one hundred thirty years before Earth's impending destruction. Rek had now inhabited the body of this fat laboratory supervisor and was in control of it.
As for the original soul of this Fat Supervisor, it was likely either asleep or destroyed, but Rek could not know for sure.
Rek noticed that on the fat man's left hand was a Star Alliance Wrist Communicator, belonging to a member of the Star Alliance Military. He began to browse through the records on the Wrist Communicator.
After reviewing the information, Rek learned that this fat man was named Rein and was a senior manager at a military laboratory.
He also found information about Bill, the young researcher who developed the Earth-shaking Doomsday Weapon. Bill was only twenty-eight years old this year and had just been recruited into the Star Alliance Military research facility as an ordinary researcher, working under a mentor.
"This is much easier than I expected; killing Bill, this young researcher, will be a piece of cake. Moreover, with this fat man's identity, there's no fear of death—if I die, I can still return to my world one hundred thirty years later," Rek thought to himself as he began to dress. He also used the Wrist Communicator to learn about this parallel world. In this parallel world, the Star Alliance and the Glorious Empire had just been at war for over ten years and had not yet signed a peace treaty. The destruction of Earth was not severe; many public facilities were still intact.
Controlling the fat man's body, Rek left his residence and headed toward the laboratory.
