The matter of Mo Xier could be kept under wraps, but the illness of Old Madam could not be hidden for a moment. As soon as the doctor entered the General's residence, someone notified the Prime Minister's Residence. 0

Jiang Huai was extremely anxious to learn that his sister had fallen unconscious! Early the next morning, he rushed to the General's residence in a hurry, only to find the door firmly shut against him! 0

When had the Chancellor ever suffered such humiliation? Night Star was after all his nephew, who called him uncle, yet he was denied even the right to enter and visit the General? 0

The young servant at the door felt extremely troubled. Who didn’t know the Chancellor? However, the young master had given orders that Old Madam's fainting was a family matter and outsiders were not allowed to meddle, let alone come in for a visit. 0

"Chancellor, the young master has instructed that no one is to enter. You should wait until Old Madam wakes up and come back in a few days." 0

Little did he know that Jiang Huai was unwilling to accept this. With his brows raised, he naturally exuded an imposing presence, "I am her brother; if I cannot enter to visit her, then who can?" 0

"The young master said that Old Madam's condition is unstable and only the doctor can..." 0

The servant did not finish his sentence. Upon meeting the Chancellor's terrifying gaze, he instinctively swallowed hard and continued, "Perhaps you could come back in a few days, Chancellor. Please don’t make it difficult for us servants." 0

"This is outrageous! Call your young master out; I refuse to believe I cannot enter this General's residence today!" 0

The servant felt even more troubled. Looking at the furious Chancellor, he lowered his head and softly said, "The young master is not in the residence today; he took Miss Mo out." 0

"Miss Mo? Where did she come from?" 0

"The young master brought her back from the battlefield. This time, Old Madam and the young master quarreled over this girl." 0

The servant slowly recounted everything. The once furious Jiang Huai now felt an explosive rage that made him want to break down the doors of the General's residence! 0

Jiang Huai and the young servant were entangled in a dilemma, while on the other side, Night Star and Mo Xier were having a great time, or rather, it was only Mo Xier who was truly enjoying herself. 0

Mo Xier was dressed in white attire, her originally loose hair now neatly tied up, presenting herself as a young man. Her already stunning beauty gained an additional touch of handsomeness at this moment. 0

In her hand was a Folding Fan, which she waved intentionally or unintentionally, capturing the attention of those around her. 0

Beside her, Night Star remained clad in black, his cold features and sharp eyes giving him an expressionless demeanor that radiated an aura of "keep your distance," forming a stark contrast with Mo Xier. 0

Walking down the streets of Heavenly Universe Kingdom, the two undoubtedly attracted everyone's gaze, and it was clear that Mo Xier's cheerful demeanor was even more endearing. 0

She nudged the person next to her with her elbow, her face full of pride as she leaned closer and whispered, "Hey, look at everyone around us; they're all watching me. Why are you still wearing that cold expression? It's really boring." 0

"Behave yourself!" 0

Receiving such a response from the man, Mo Xier snorted in disdain, but her smile only grew wider. 0

Looking at the self-satisfied woman beside him, Night Star felt a twinge of regret in his heart. Why had he agreed to take her out when he clearly wasn't thinking straight? 0

The situation traced back to that morning when he arrived at her house and found her resting her head on her hand, absentmindedly tapping on the table. She looked so pitiful that anyone would feel compelled to show sympathy. 0

That sympathy led him to take her out, and watching the little woman who seemed like a bird set free as she stepped out of the General's residence made Night Star silently accept his fate. 0

This was Mo Xier's first time stepping out of the General's residence since arriving at Heavenly Universe Kingdom, naturally making her curious about everything around her. She explored as if discovering a new world, touching this and looking at that. 0

What could have been a short walk for Night Star turned into a half-hour stroll filled with excitement for Mo Xier. If it weren't for him dragging her along, she might have continued exploring for another hour. 0

The streets of the Heavenly Universe Kingdom are bustling with activity, indicating that the economy here is quite good, and everyone seems to be living comfortably. The stalls resemble modern night markets but feature some things not commonly seen in the present day. 0

Originally, Mo Xier was following closely behind Night Star, but as time passed, it became Mo Xier who was dragging the man forward. 0

Along the way, her surprised exclamations could be heard: "Hey, look at this! It's so fun. Oh, and this one too! I've never seen anything like it before!" 0

In response to her remarks, Night Star chose to remain silent, not answering her at all. Even so, this did not dampen her enthusiasm; the little woman pouted and continued to enjoy herself. 0

"Move aside! Clear the way for me!" Suddenly, a chaotic sound of hooves echoed from not far away, accompanied by the startled screams of numerous people. 0

This was clearly a disturbance; who would ride a horse recklessly in such a place? Confused, she looked toward the source of the noise and saw people fleeing in all directions. Standing in the middle of the road, she had no time to react before everything went dark. 0

Night Star's reflexes kicked in as he saw Mo Xier about to be trampled underfoot. He rushed forward and instinctively pulled the stunned woman into his arms, spinning around just in time to pull her out of harm's way. 0

The rider was equally startled and pulled hard on the reins, filled with rage. 0

"Who the hell is that blind fool daring to block my path?" 0

The rider appeared to be quite young, not much older than Night Star himself, dressed in a luxurious royal blue outfit that clearly marked him as someone from a wealthy family. 0

"Are you okay?" Ignoring the rider's words, Night Star looked down at the woman curled up in his embrace, feeling a surge of concern. 0

Her exterior always projected strength, but she was still a woman; no matter how assertive she seemed, there would always be moments of vulnerability. 0

Mo Xier was still in shock, struggling to comprehend that she had almost been crushed under hooves. How long had she been here? And already she faced such a calamity? 0

The hand she was holding gradually grew cold. She raised her gaze to the person on the horse, who was recklessly charging through the bustling streets. Was there no sense of justice left in the world? 0

She slowly shook her head at him, stepping out of his embrace to confront the rider directly. She began to scold, "Riding recklessly in the street, nearly hitting someone without an apology, and yet you act so arrogantly. You truly disgrace your parents for raising you like this!" 0

In that moment, Mo Xier's fierce spirit was fully displayed; the previous vulnerability had vanished. Even Night Star couldn't help but frown. This woman seemed to be a constant source of trouble. 0

The horseman, suddenly being scolded, was taken aback. Having been pampered since childhood, he was used to others bowing and scraping before him; he had never been reprimanded like this. 0

Even his parents always indulged him. When had anyone ever spoken to him in such a manner? Feeling a surge of frustration, he sneered from atop his horse, "What’s wrong? I enjoy riding my horse in the street! What does it have to do with you?" 0

"You shameless scoundrel! You lack even the most basic sense of shame; how do you deserve to be called a human?" Mo Xier was also furious. Her words made everyone present gasp in shock. 0

"Impudent! Who do you think you are? Do you know who I am? How dare you speak to me like that?" 0

However, her bravado was matched by the horseman's arrogance! 0

Concerned onlookers began to quietly advise him, "Young master, you should leave quickly. Everyone knows this little tyrant Chu Haoxuan; his father is a high official in the capital. You can't afford to offend him!" 0

Turning to look at the crowd that spoke up, she noticed that they seemed genuinely fearful of this man. It appeared he had been causing trouble here for quite some time, and everyone knew to steer clear of him. 0

Hearing the murmurs around him, Chu Haoxuan wore a smug expression as he looked at Mo Xier with increasing arrogance. "Did you hear that? If you kneel and admit your fault right now, I might consider forgiving you." 0

"Bah! Just look at yourself; you don't even know the basics of being a decent person, yet you expect me to apologize?" Mo Xier crossed her arms defiantly, her face filled with disdain and arrogance. 0

She wasn't afraid of any high officials in the capital; after all, she had Night Star backing her up. If things got out of hand, she could just let him handle it. 0

"Alright! You really have some guts! Today, this young master won't let this go! Someone! Capture him for me!" With a command from Chu Haoxuan, the attendants following him immediately moved forward, surrounding Mo Xier with six people, ready to take action. 0

"I didn't realize that Master Chu had such a temper, wanting to resort to violence at the slightest disagreement?" Night Star, who had been facing away from Chu Haoxuan, finally turned around and spoke loudly. 0

The man walked slowly to Mo Xier's side with his hands behind his back, enveloping her protectively, the meaning of which was clear. 0

Chu Haoxuan's eyes widened in surprise; upon seeing him, he instinctively took a step back. Everyone in the capital knew that Night Star was notoriously difficult to deal with. He hesitated and glanced at the people behind him, feeling conflicted. 0

"I didn't expect Master Chu to be someone who fears for his life? What's wrong? Are you afraid to act against me now that you see my backing? Isn't your father a high-ranking official?" The mocking smile and arrogant words made the man who was about to retreat stop in his tracks. 0

Seeing that the man was wavering, Mo Xier couldn't help but speak up. It was a rare opportunity to teach this wealthy young master a lesson; how could she let it slip away? 0

A smile gradually appeared on his face. "So it's Night General. Long time no see. What brings you to this market today?" 0

"If I hadn't come, Master Chu would have been preparing to bully the common people?" 0

"Night General, how could you say such a thing? My father and Night General are both officials serving in the same court; you should know my character." 0

His smiling face was full of flattery. He knew that if he offended this formidable figure, his days in the capital would likely be miserable. 0

"Tch! Isn't it just sycophancy that's disgusting?" Mo Xier replied honestly, without a second thought, her sarcastic words spilling out. 0

This made everyone present look displeased, and Chu Haoxuan's face turned an array of colors. 0
