Just as Mo Xiaohui was about to take action, a sudden sound of footsteps came from outside the door!
The Cloaked Man sneered, "It seems the matter is not over yet!" He immediately turned around, gripping the Fire Axe tightly, and rushed towards the door.
Mo Xiaohui stared at the back of the Cloaked Man, suddenly feeling a wave of weakness wash over her, and her right hand, which had been turned away, slowly came to a stop.

Li Nan hurriedly rushed up the stairs. When he saw that the door to the eighth-floor room had already been broken open with a large hole, he broke out in a cold sweat!

Li Nan leaned back and extended one empty hand to directly catch the descending Fire Axe. To his surprise, the Cloaked Man could not advance even an inch under his strength!
The Cloaked Man was greatly shocked and immediately let go of the Fire Axe, pulling out a dagger from behind and stabbing it forward.

The blade of the dagger sliced through the air, heading straight for the neck of the crouching Li Nan. Li Nan silently cursed his luck and tried to turn away to dodge the dagger, but he was too slow; the dagger had already pierced his left shoulder!
Although the Cloaked Man's dagger was slightly off-target, it still struck true, plunging about twenty centimeters deep into Li Nan's flesh.
The bloodied blade emerged from Li Nan's left shoulder and was pinned against the door outside!
Li Nan gritted his teeth and leaned forward, forcing the dagger out of his body. The Cloaked Man did not continue his attack but stood before Li Nan, laughing, "It seems you have still fallen into my hands!"
Li Nan winced in pain; he was already in a crouched position and now resembled a shrimp. Blood flowed freely from his left arm, gushing like a fountain!
"Who are you?" Li Nan asked sternly, clearly suffering from a serious shoulder injury.
The Cloaked Man continued to smile and lowered his voice, saying, "Does it matter who I am? You must have seen what happened inside the building across from us. What are your thoughts?"
Li Nan gritted his teeth; it seemed he was not only in pain but also filled with hatred for this deranged cannibal. "I saw your actions; they are utterly heinous!"
At that moment, the Fire Axe that Li Nan had been holding had long since fallen to the ground.
The Cloaked Man kicked away the crimson Fire Axe and said leisurely, "It's just a woman. If I hadn't treated her that way, she would have died anyway. Rather than letting a Zombie have her, it's better for me to take advantage of her!"
Li Nan spat out a mouthful of blood and retorted, "Bah! You're a madman, no better than the Zombies outside. You're nothing but scum! Thoroughly despicable! Even if you're trash, you shouldn't have tortured her like that!"
"How did I torture that woman?"

The Cloaked Man fixed his gaze on Li Nan's movements, then bent down to pick up the Fire Axe that had fallen to the ground. He said solemnly, "That woman is nothing. You didn't see what I did to her with your own eyes, but there is another woman in this house. Would you like me to show her to you personally?"
Li Nan shook his head. "Don't hurt her; otherwise, I will make you regret it!"
The Cloaked Man dragged the Fire Axe across the floor and shouted behind him, "Come out by yourself, or I will chop off this man's head!"
In response, a woman stumbled out from a small room, her hands clearly bound with something resembling shoelaces.
Mo Xiaohui timidly cried out, "Don't kill him, please don't kill him!"
The Cloaked Man continued to laugh loudly, as if the atmosphere suited him perfectly.
"Come over here, to my side!" he commanded Mo Xiaohui, who dared not hesitate for a moment and could only timidly approach him.
Li Nan raised his head and looked at the figure hidden beneath the cloak, feeling a surge of anger. Then he turned to see Mo Xiaohui, who was already in tears, and his heart ached for her.
The Cloaked Man said to Mo Xiaohui, "You may not understand me, and I don't understand you either, but that's all trivial; it doesn't matter. However, your boyfriend seems to know a bit more than you do. Let him tell you what kind of person I am!"
He pointed the Fire Axe at Li Nan's head and shouted, "Speak!"
"He is a murderer. In the room on the eighth floor across from here, there is a corpse. Her hands and feet have been completely severed. To be precise, that woman is not just a corpse because she hasn't breathed her last yet..."
The Cloaked Man's hand had already reached up to Mo Xiaohui's face, wiping away her tears from the corners of her eyes with what seemed like affection. To Li Nan, every action of this man was particularly nauseating.

Li Nan continued, "Everything was done by that man. He murdered that woman, then violated her, gouged out her eyes, cut off her tongue, and used her as food and as a tool for his desires. He is a devil!"
At this moment, Mo Xiaohui was already trembling like a leaf, while the Cloaked Man took advantage of the situation, one hand already creeping up on Mo Xiaohui's chest.
Li Nan's gaze was fixed on the Cloaked Man's hands, his eyes filled with killing intent.
The Cloaked Man smiled broadly and then turned to Li Nan, saying, "You're right; I killed that woman. When the Zombie outbreak happened, I accidentally stumbled into this neighborhood and found the last remaining resident—her. On the first day she took me in, I knocked her out and personally severed her limbs. Do you know what human flesh tastes like? Have you ever seen someone dying begging for mercy for a quick end? I have, which is why I cut off that annoying tongue, and then the whole world became peaceful! Hahaha..."
The Cloaked Man suddenly paused for a moment before continuing, "Actually, I don't kill and eat people because I'm lacking food; I do it for the thrill! Do you know that feeling? You're moving on someone beneath you while they lie there like a dead pig or dog, yet you know that person still has breath. Do you understand this suffocating thrill?"
The Cloaked Man pushed Mo Xiaohui away and raised the Fire Axe high above his head, aiming directly at Li Nan. He had played enough of the cat-and-mouse game; he wanted to deal with this man first before thoroughly tormenting that charming little demon!
The Cloaked Man swung the Fire Axe horizontally again. However, unlike before, Li Nan's shoulder was now injured and his movements were restricted, making it impossible for him to dodge this axe strike—he was doomed!
But was the situation really so dire? Just as the axe blade descended towards his head at the doorway, Li Nan suddenly twisted around sharply. The axe struck the ground with a loud thud instead.
