As Li Nan and the others continued to rush down, suddenly, a dead Toad was thrown out from the upper level of the laboratory on the eighth floor, followed by an even larger figure staggering out!
Of course, what happened on the Ninth Floor was only heard as a loud noise by Li Nan and the others; they had no knowledge of the details or the perpetrator behind it!

In the hallway, Li Nan and the others hurried down the stairs. Fortunately, they did not encounter any other dangers, so their journey was relatively smooth!
Lin Hai counted the floors ahead and shouted, "We've reached the third floor, it's just ahead!"
The Wolf Eye Flashlight was handed to Lin Hai by Li Nan, and as Lin Hai scanned left and right, he determined that it was safe ahead!
With Lin Hai signaling, Fatty quickly followed him, then came Bitter Melon, with Li Nan bringing up the rear!
Bitter Melon's injuries were mostly assessed: three ribs were broken, and his spleen and lungs were slightly injured. Other than that, there were no major issues. The previous brief loss of consciousness likely caused a minor concussion. Overall, aside from some limited mobility, he was fine and could move on his own.
Lin Hai had already turned into the third-floor area, and the tail end of the team was also moving in!
Li Nan shouted from the back of the group, "Find a place for the Snake Venom Research Laboratory; there should be Snake Venom Antidote in there!"
Lin Hai nodded in acknowledgment with his flashlight while Li Nan stayed at the back, vigilant against any approaching Mutated Monsters!
As they moved forward, Lin Hai's flashlight suddenly drew a circle, indicating he had found the Snake Venom Research Laboratory!
Seeing Lin Hai's signal, Li Nan was overjoyed. Everyone behind him quickly moved forward; as long as they could get their hands on the appropriate Snake Venom Antidote, this mission would be a success!
Fatty had no clothes left on him, exposing his big belly as he ran ahead. If it weren't for the dim light in the corridor, it would surely be amusing!
Fatty and Bitter Melon rushed into the Snake Venom Research Laboratory first, followed closely by Li Nan.
The area of the Snake Venom Research Laboratory is not large, and aside from a few seemingly sophisticated instruments, there doesn't seem to be much space left.
Lin Hai has no understanding of these messy experimental devices, but he can tell whether there is a Snake Venom Antidote here.
Lin Hai asked Li Nan, "It seems like there’s nothing we want here!"
Li Nan nodded, "Logically speaking, the Snake Venom Antidote is quite precious and should be stored in a secure place. Given the layout of this laboratory, it seems accessible to individuals, so the Snake Venom Antidote shouldn't be here!"
Fatty clicked his tongue and said, "So where exactly could it be?"
Li Nan shook his head, "I don't know either, but it should definitely be somewhere in this building!"
As they spoke, Fatty rushed out to search room by room. Meanwhile, Li Nan was deep in thought, wondering, "Where could the Snake Venom Antidote possibly be?"
Although this Medical Research Center Building is right across from Jiangbei Hospital, Li Nan's understanding of this place is quite superficial. As for the details regarding the storage of the Snake Venom Antidote, it must be considered confidential information!
Sure enough, just as Fatty dashed out to search, he shouted, "There's a room with a combination lock here!"
Hearing this, Li Nan and the others immediately rushed out. About ten meters away from the Snake Venom Research Laboratory, there was indeed a room with a combination lock. Although there was no nameplate outside, it resembled a small safe.
Li Nan looked at the combination lock and immediately affirmed, "The Snake Venom Antidote must be inside. We need to find a way to get in!"
Fatty exclaimed, "That's easy! A few bullets will take care of it; even a security door can be opened!"
Li Nan looked around and did not sense any hidden danger, so he said to Fatty, "Then let’s hurry up and do it before anything goes wrong!"
Fatty grinned and said, "Just watch!" He then instructed everyone to step back and raised his Submachine Gun, aiming at the combination lock!
Just as Fatty raised his gun, a sudden noise came from the rooftop, shaking the entire floor as if an earthquake had occurred.
Li Nan felt the instability beneath his feet and immediately shouted at Fatty, "Hurry up, we don't have much time!"
Fatty nodded, adjusting his Submachine Gun, but before he could fire, the ceiling above suddenly collapsed.
With a loud crash, debris including rebar, concrete blocks, and hollow bricks came crashing down, burying Fatty before he could react!
Seeing this scene, Li Nan couldn't help but shout, and in an instant, Fatty was completely gone.
As the floor caved in, a massive creature surged down from above. Lin Hai, startled, shone his Wolf Eye Flashlight and saw an enormous shadow blocking the corridor.
Looking at the humanoid shadow, Li Nan felt a pang of despair. If they had already exhausted all their efforts against the previous Toad, now facing this giant, it seemed they were only waiting for their doom!
The shadow's true form stood about five to six meters tall, hunched over with its fur brushing against the undamaged floor above. Its coarse long hair stuck out in all directions, and its large mouth was filled with sharp teeth, resembling the Demon King from Journey to the West!
Upon seeing this creature with his own eyes, Li Nan preferred to call it "King Kong."
Realizing that the creature before him was a monkey—an oversized version of King Kong—Li Nan felt a chill run down his spine. Was there even a chance to fight back?
In the eighth-floor laboratory, there were five animals: two mice, one rabbit, one monkey, and one toad. It seemed that all five had mutated into monsters.
This trip to retrieve the Snake Venom Antidote had been fraught with danger; so many Mutated Monsters—did they really have to deal with each one individually?
After dealing with the pockmarked Toad, encountering this real-life King Kong made Li Nan inwardly groan. Fatty hadn't even fired a shot before being buried under the rubble.
Bitter Melon, hunched over in anger upon seeing that Fatty was done for, raised his Submachine Gun and opened fire on the Gorilla. Unfortunately, it had no effect!
Li Nan was astonished; this Gorilla was just like the Giant Rat in the Department Store—both had tough skin that bullets couldn't penetrate!
The Gorilla slowly approached, swinging its long arms and completely blocking the four-meter-wide corridor. Seeing this, Li Nan shouted to Bitter Melon and Lin Hai behind him, "Run! We can't handle this giant!"
Bitter Melon frowned and said, "The Snake Venom Antidote hasn't arrived yet, I can't leave!"
Li Nan shouted, "Do you think staying here will get you that Snake Venom Antidote? As long as the green mountains remain, one need not worry about firewood. Why don't you understand this principle?"
Gorilla hung its head low, its eyes, the size of washbasins, were fixated on Li Nan and the others with a greedy gaze, as if they were staring at a feast.
Li Nan and his companions kept retreating until they reached the staircase, while the Gorilla continued to advance, seemingly indifferent to their escape.
Li Nan made a gesture with his thumb pointing upward to Bitter Melon and Lin Hai, signaling them to hurry upstairs.
Lin Hai looked at Li Nan's resolute demeanor and asked, "Aren't you planning to run?"
Li Nan shook his head. "Hurry! Don't waste the time I've bought for you! Get to the fourth floor and use a flanking tactic; maybe we can still retrieve that Snake Venom Antidote!"
Bitter Melon immediately understood and said to Lin Hai, "Let's follow Brother Nan's plan!"
Lin Hai nodded, and the three of them fled.
Li Nan let out a bitter laugh, then drew out his Vigo Knife, shouting at the Gorilla, "Damn it, today I'll fight you to the death!"
With the blade raised, Li Nan dashed in front of the Gorilla, using his agility to dodge its attacks.
The Gorilla swung its iron fists, its thick fur resembling dry grass in a desolate forest, charging straight at Li Nan.
Li Nan cursed loudly as he dodged away, feeling a powerful gust of wind rush past him.
This force was something Li Nan could only admire; however, while the Gorilla had strength, it lacked speed, allowing Li Nan to evade easily.
Once steadying himself, Li Nan caught sight of Bitter Melon and Lin Hai already upstairs and felt a surge of joy. "Alright then, I'll play with you today!"
The Gorilla, realizing it had missed its strike, pounded its chest in frustration.
Meanwhile, Li Nan had already spotted a figure emerging from the pile of debris behind the Gorilla. He knew that Fatty wouldn't go down so easily, and sure enough!
Fatty pushed aside several Concrete Blocks, covered in dust and dirt, and crawled out from the wreckage. Shaking his head to clear his mind, he also swung his arms around, looking fine.
Turning around, Fatty saw a massive shadow slowly moving away from him, and he was immediately alarmed. "What is going on?"
The sudden collapse of the rooftop had momentarily short-circuited Fatty's brain. However, recalling what Li Nan had said earlier in the eighth-floor laboratory, he quickly understood. "Oh no! It's that monkey!"
Fatty struggled to pull his lower body out of the rubble and then went to look for his Submachine Gun, which was conveniently right beside him.
With a wry smile, Fatty said, "It's time for me, Fatty, to make a great contribution!"
As he spoke, Fatty raised the Submachine Gun and found the location of the previous keypad lock. He pressed the button, and gunfire erupted with sparks flying.
The Gorilla, engaged in a struggle with Li Nan, suddenly heard the gunfire behind it and was startled. It turned to look back just as Li Nan cursed under his breath at Fatty. "Does this idiot Fatty not know how to quietly deal with that keypad lock?"
