After being thrown out of the building, Fatty's first reaction was to tightly protect the burden on his back. If anything inside was damaged, all his sacrifices would be in vain!
Fatty's large face hit the ground first, landing hard, while Bitter Melon and Lin Hai followed suit and flew out as well.
Fatty shook his head, first checking to see if the burden on him had come loose, then confirming whether anything inside had been harmed. After completing both checks, he suddenly remembered the pain and shouted, "Damn it, I'm going to die from this fall!"
Before Fatty could finish his lament, Bitter Melon had already turned around and shouted, "It's not over yet; the building is about to collapse! We need to keep running!"
Bitter Melon helped Lin Hai and Fatty up and started moving forward at a brisk pace. When Fatty looked back, he saw the building right behind them. If it collapsed now, the falling debris could crush him!
Lin Hai glanced back and saw that the multi-story building was leaning dangerously from top to bottom, leaving no chance for recovery. And Li Nan still hadn't escaped!
Although Bitter Melon had broken a few ribs, the current situation did not hinder his speed at all. The three of them ran swiftly, covering over a hundred meters in an instant! At that moment, the Medical Research Center Building collapsed entirely, sending up a cloud of dust!
The debris and dust enveloped them like a thick fog, obscuring their vision completely.
"Cough cough..." The three of them were choked by the gravel and dust, unable to open their eyes. The loud crash of the building's collapse still echoed in their ears!
Lin Hai exclaimed in disbelief, "Is it really over?"
Fatty shook his head. "Who knows?"
"Nan Ge hasn't come out yet!" With Lin Hai's loud shout, a figure slowly emerged from the thick dust behind them!
The figure resembled an ancient swordsman or hero, holding a long sword and draped in a flowing cloak. But upon closer inspection, it was quite different!
Li Nan staggered forward; his clothes were torn to shreds, with half of his shirt hanging down behind him. From a distance, it did give the impression of a cloak. In his hand, he held the Vigo Knife with a bitter expression on his face!
Seeing that it was Li Nan, Lin Hai was overjoyed and immediately rushed over.
Li Nan coughed dryly and said, "Damn it, this time, I almost ended up here!"
Lin Hai supported Li Nan and smiled wryly, "If it weren't for you, Brother Nan, the rest of us would really be in a tough spot!"
Li Nan waved his hand, signaling, "Did you get the Snake Venom Antidote?"
Lin Hai nodded, and Fatty rushed over, saying, "I've got everything right here; this time it really worked out well!"
At that moment, Bitter Melon remembered that he had three broken ribs and gritted his teeth, saying, "I almost got buried here!"
Li Nan hunched over and laughed heartily, "We’re not meant to die yet!"

Under the collapse of the Medical Research Center Building, dust rose within a hundred-meter radius, obscuring the sky. The falling building structures were flying everywhere; a large floor slab of about forty to fifty square meters flew out and smashed a nearby newsstand flat, leaving no trace behind!
Fortunately for Fatty and the others, they escaped in a direction where few building structures fell, so their escape was relatively smooth.
As Bitter Melon suddenly remembered his three broken ribs, he swayed unsteadily and moved slowly. Fatty had no choice but to carry Bitter Melon on his back.
Lin Hai supported Li Nan, who was clearly not in good condition. Although Li Nan did not mention the earlier struggle with the Gorilla inside the building, Lin Hai could guess part of it and did not ask further.
Li Nan's facial muscles were all contorted in pain; it seemed he was suffering greatly. His body had no uninjured place—he was either bleeding or bruised. Clearly, that Gorilla was not easy to deal with!
Li Nan smiled bitterly and said, "Fortunately, I was quick-witted. Seeing that the building was about to collapse, I started looking for an escape route. Luckily, those big guys are not very agile; they were directly hit by the large floor slabs that fell from five or six stories. It’s impossible for them to survive. I took advantage of that moment to run out!"
Lin Hai gave a thumbs-up to Li Nan. "Brother Nan, you're amazing!"
Li Nan waved his hand dismissively. "Stop with the flattery; we need to think of a way to escape. There are still thousands of Zombie Legion outside that monster-infested building!"
As they spoke, the debris and dust from the collapsing building slowly settled to the ground, and the visibility in the air gradually became clearer!
Just as their vision cleared, Li Nan and Fatty were left speechless in shock!
"Damn!" Fatty cursed under his breath upon seeing this, then asked, "What do we do now? We just escaped the wolf's den and walked into the tiger's lair. We're probably not getting out of this one!"
Li Nan couldn't help but chuckle bitterly, "There's no choice; at this point, we can only fight hard!"
Before Li Nan and the others stood a row of neatly lined up Zombie soldiers, all wearing steel helmets and carrying guns on their backs. Clearly, they had run into a deadly situation this time.
Opposite the Jiangbei Hospital Building was the Medical Research Center, separated by a parking lot and a sizable lawn and garden. It seemed that the greenery was initially planted to maintain the city's image, but now, those lush green plants had all withered away, replaced by thousands of Zombie Legion!
Fatty gritted his teeth and shouted to Bitter Melon behind him, "Are you dead? If you're not dead, we're in serious trouble this time!"
Bitter Melon looked around; in front was the Zombie Legion, and behind was the rubble of the recently collapsed building—there was no escape route!
Li Nan cleared his throat, "What do we do now?"
Fatty responded first, "What else can we do? We fight for our lives!"
Hearing this, Li Nan burst into laughter, "Alright! Let's give them a fierce fight then, what do you say?"
"Good!" Lin Hai raised his AK-47, and without thinking twice, fired it.
Fatty also smiled as he raised his Submachine Gun for a sweeping shot, but when he pulled the trigger, he realized he was out of bullets.
"Damn it! No bullets!" Fatty couldn't help but curse.
When he broke into the safe containing the Snake Venom Antidote earlier, he had already used up all his ammunition. So now his Submachine Gun was practically no different from a stick!
Before Fatty could continue cursing, the Zombie Legion charging in front of them came rushing forward.
A massive army of nearly a thousand soldiers, all transformed into Zombies, was an astonishing sight. Unfortunately, this situation was beyond the capabilities of Li Nan and the others. If they chose to confront them head-on in their current state, they would undoubtedly face total annihilation.
Lin Hai's AK-47 fired off a few bullets that hit their targets, but since they did not strike the zombies' heads, the damage dealt was nearly zero.
"This is like eggs hitting a stone; we have no way out!" Lin Hai shouted, and Li Nan already understood that even if their firepower were sufficient, they still couldn't handle that group of Zombie Legion.
Li Nan looked at the approaching horde of Zombies and felt a sense of panic. They could only blame their equipment for being too good; their ranged attacks simply couldn't harm the zombies' brains!
At that moment, Fatty also began to lament, "We can't fight this battle; why don't we just surrender?"
The men who had been so bold just moments ago now deflated completely. Li Nan shook his head, "If this continues, we won't be able to kill a single Zombie and will end up being eaten. That's not my style; I refuse to lose like this!"
Li Nan gritted his teeth and said, "If ranged attacks won't work, then we'll fight up close. If we don't make it worth our while, then our struggle will be in vain!"
Fatty bitterly replied, "This isn't just a struggle for survival; it's a fight for our lives!"
Fatty was also a man of spirit. He immediately discarded his submachine gun, which was less effective than a burning stick, and charged straight into the Zombie Legion like an enraged grizzly bear!
Li Nan silently praised him: "What a man!" He then raised his Vigo Knife and charged forward as well.
Seeing this, Lin Hai wasted no time and followed suit. Bitter Melon had long since been set aside by Fatty. Witnessing such a passionate scene ignited his own bloodlust despite knowing their ultimate fate. "If we don't fight now, when will we?"
Bitter Melon and Lin Hai closely followed behind, each wielding their iron fists like heavy pots—one word: fight!
However, before Li Nan and the others could reach the front lines, the Zombie Legion rushing toward them suddenly seemed to lose their spirit and turned to flee!
Fatty was at the forefront and was astonished by this turn of events. "What's going on? I'm ready to fight with all I've got, yet these Zombies are so cowardly!"
Li Nan was also deep in thought and immediately said, "This situation is not right. Could it be that those thousands of Zombies are afraid of just the four of us? Or could it be..."
"What could it be?" Fatty interjected, while Li Nan's expression became awkward. "Could it be that they are not afraid of us, but rather afraid of what is behind us!"
The principle of using a tiger's might to intimidate others was definitely applicable here. Li Nan suddenly turned around and saw something stirring amidst the ruins behind him.
A tall building with more than ten stories, which must have required hundreds or even thousands of tons of construction materials, had previously been crushed by that Gorilla inside. Could there still be a turn of events?
Before Li Nan could continue pondering, a large hand covered in long hair had already emerged from beneath the ruins.
Seeing this, Fatty was even more horrified. "That big guy is still alive! This... this..."
Li Nan forced a smile and said, "Damn it, it's really an unkillable cockroach! We need to run quickly; if that thing comes out, we might not even have a scrap left!"
Lin Hai and Bitter Melon also sensed something unusual behind them and were quite shocked. Li Nan shouted, "While the Zombies have scattered, we need to hurry!"
