" Curator Lin, what a delight! You've actually found this secret chamber of the Former Emperor," Eunuch Wang said with a forced smile, his sharp voice echoing in the spacious room, sounding particularly grating.
I stepped back calmly, shielding the Little Emperor behind me, and looked at Eunuch Wang with a half-smile. "Eunuch Wang, what brings you here? Shouldn't you be leading the officials to safety?"
Eunuch Wang scoffed, a hint of malice flashing in his eyes. "Safety? I've served three generations of emperors in the palace; I've seen all sorts of storms. A bunch of cowards afraid for their lives—why should I worry about them?"
As he spoke, he advanced step by step, his greedy gaze sweeping over the Bronze Coffin. "But Curator Lin, you're quite lucky to have stumbled upon the Former Emperor's treasure vault. The treasures inside could ensure our wealth and glory for a lifetime!"
"Eunuch Wang is joking. This secret chamber is so hidden; I merely stumbled upon it by accident. How would I know about any treasures?" I feigned surprise while discreetly scanning the surroundings for an escape route.
"Hmph, even at this point, you still want to play dumb with me?" Eunuch Wang snorted coldly, pulling out a gleaming dagger from his sleeve. "If you're sensible, just obediently open the coffin; otherwise, don't blame me for being ruthless!"
The Little Emperor was terrified, hiding behind me and clutching my clothes tightly, his voice trembling as he asked, "Lin Fan, what... what does he want?"

I gently patted the Little Emperor's hand to reassure him not to be afraid. Then I raised my head and met Eunuch Wang's gaze directly, a mocking smile curling at the corners of my mouth. "Eunuch Wang, do you really think you can threaten me with just a dagger?"
"You..." Eunuch Wang clearly didn't expect my defiance; he paused slightly before erupting in anger. "You’re asking for it! If you seek death, don’t blame me for being merciless!"
With that, he swung the dagger and lunged at me.
I was already prepared; I sidestepped quickly to avoid Eunuch Wang's attack and kicked his wrist in one smooth motion.
"Ah!" Eunuch Wang cried out in pain as the dagger slipped from his hand and fell to the ground with a crisp sound.
Seizing the opportunity, I stepped forward, grabbed Eunuch Wang by the collar, and pressed him against the cold wall. In a cold voice, I said, "Eunuch Wang, do you think I don't know your intentions? You want to take advantage of the chaos to eliminate me and His Majesty, then seize power for yourself, don't you?"
"You... you're talking nonsense!" Eunuch Wang's face turned pale, his eyes flickering, but he dared not meet my gaze.
"Nonsense?" I scoffed. "Do you really think you can hide what you've done from me?"
As I spoke, I reached into Eunuch Wang's robe and fished out a gleaming golden token.
"What is this?" I held the token up in front of Eunuch Wang's eyes and asked coldly.
"This... this is..." Upon seeing the token, Eunuch Wang's face turned ashen; he knew it was over for him.
I threw the token on the ground and sneered, "Eunuch Wang, do you think I don't know what this token represents? Do you think I don't know that you colluded with the demon clan, working from within and without to overthrow my Celestial Dynasty?"
"How... how could you know?" Eunuch Wang looked at me in terror, disbelief filling his eyes.
"Hmph, how could I not know?" I laughed coldly. "Do you really think someone like you is worthy of knowing?"
With that, I pushed Eunuch Wang away and turned to pick up the Little Emperor.
"Let's go, we need to leave," I said.
"But..." the Little Emperor glanced at Eunuch Wang, who was lying on the ground with a pale face, and said fearfully, "He..."
"Don't worry, he will be fine," I reassured him. "I will send someone to take care of him."
As I spoke, I held the Little Emperor and walked towards the exit of the secret chamber.
The stone door of the secret chamber slowly closed, sealing Eunuch Wang's desperate cries forever in darkness.
However, when I reached the exit, I found that it had been blocked.
"What’s going on? Why is this exit blocked?" I frowned and carefully observed my surroundings.
I discovered that a thick stone wall had appeared at the exit of the secret chamber, covered in intricate patterns that seemed to be some kind of ancient mechanism.
"Could it be... that there are other exits from this secret chamber?" I wondered to myself as I began to search for alternative exits.
I gently ran my hand over the wall, trying to find the trigger for the mechanism, but the wall was as solid as iron, showing no signs of movement.
I started to feel anxious; time ticked away, and the air in the secret chamber grew thinner, making my breathing increasingly difficult.
At that moment, I suddenly heard a faint sound, seemingly coming from the corner of the secret room.
I turned to look in the direction of the sound and discovered a small opening in the corner of the room, just big enough for a person to crawl through.
"Could this be another exit?" I thought to myself with excitement, quickly placing Little Emperor on the ground and crawling into the opening.
The opening was narrow, and I had to turn sideways to get through. My body was squeezed uncomfortably, but for the safety of Little Emperor, I gritted my teeth and persevered.
As I crawled through the opening, I found myself in a narrow passageway. It was dark, and I couldn't see anything, but I could sense a damp smell in the air.
I felt along the walls, carefully moving forward. The ground of the passage was very smooth, seeming to be made of some hard material.
After walking for a long time, I finally saw a glimmer of light.
I hurried my pace towards the light, and when I reached it, I realized that I had returned to the center of the secret room.
Looking around, I found that where the exit used to be was no longer a stone wall but a door leading to another room.
Carrying Little Emperor, I stepped into the room and discovered it was empty except for a table with a note on it.
I picked up the note and opened it to find written: " Curator Lin, congratulations on finding the true exit! I hope you can leave safely with Little Emperor!"
