I gripped the long sword tightly in my hand, and it let out a soft hum, as if responding to my determination. I took a step forward, ready to unleash the power within me and confront the Demon King in a fight to the death.
"Brother Lin Fan, don't be impulsive!" Little Emperor suddenly tugged at the hem of my clothes, his youthful voice filled with concern.
I looked down at him and saw his small face etched with anxiety, yet his eyes were exceptionally resolute. "Brother Lin Fan, I believe you can defeat the Demon King, but you must promise me that you will come back alive!"
His words felt like a warm current flowing into my heart, dispelling the restlessness and unease within me. Indeed, I couldn't act recklessly; I had many things to do. I still needed to protect these children and safeguard the Apocalypse Continent.
Taking a deep breath, I suppressed the power that was about to erupt and turned to General Zhao. "General Zhao, lead the soldiers to hold off the Demon Army for now. I'll see if I can find the Demon King's weakness."
Although General Zhao was worried about my safety, he knew this was not the time for hesitation. He immediately accepted the order and commanded the soldiers to engage the Demon Army pouring out from the Demon Gate.
I retreated with Little Emperor and the children to a safe distance, closely monitoring the situation on the battlefield while also observing the Demon King in search of his weakness.
"Brother Lin Fan, look! The staff in the Demon King's hand looks familiar," Little Emperor suddenly pointed at the black staff held by the Demon King.
Following his gaze, I indeed noticed that strange patterns were carved on that staff. They seemed somewhat familiar, but I couldn't recall where I had seen them before.
"What is that?" I asked.
Little Emperor excitedly pointed at the patterns on the staff. "I recognize it! Those are the blocks we played with at the Royal Nursery!"
"Blocks?" I paused for a moment, then took a closer look and realized that those patterns were identical to those on the blocks that children played with in the Royal Nursery.
Could it be... that the Demon King's power is related to those blocks?
I felt a stir in my heart and immediately activated the system scanning function to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the Demon King and his staff.
Soon, the system provided the analysis results.
"Ding! Scanning target: Demon King. Strength: Unknown. Weakness: Unknown."
"Ding! Scanning target: Demon King's Staff. Material: Unknown. Energy Source: Unknown. Special Attribute: Contains a large amount of Toy Power."
Toy Power?
A thought crossed my mind; could this be the Demon King's weakness?
I looked again at the staff in the Demon King's hand, my gaze landing on a colorful gem embedded at the top of the staff. The gem was crystal clear, emitting a captivating glow, and looked very beautiful.
"Brother Lin Fan, that gem is so pretty!" Little Emperor also noticed the gem, his eyes filled with desire.
A bold idea surged in my mind.
"Little ones, would you like to play a game?" I turned to the group of children behind me, wearing a mysterious smile.
"What game?" The children curiously gathered around.
"A game that can defeat the Demon King," I said in a lowered voice, confidence sparkling in my eyes.
"Defeating the Demon King game?" The children exclaimed excitedly, their curious eyes fixed on me.
"That's right." I smiled and nodded, pulling out a beautifully crafted wooden box from my pocket and handing it to the children. "Look, this is a gift I specially prepared for you."
The children eagerly grabbed the small box, unable to contain their excitement as they opened it, immediately gasping in awe.
"Wow! It's building blocks!"
"So many beautiful blocks!"
"Brother Lin Fan, you're so wonderful!"
The children cheered joyfully; they had never seen such exquisite building blocks. Each piece of wood was intricately carved with beautiful patterns and vibrant colors, looking exceptionally stunning.
I watched the children with a smile, secretly pondering: these are high-quality toys I exchanged from the System Space, each block containing powerful Toy Power capable of rivaling the Demon King's strength.
"Children, do you know? These are not just ordinary building blocks; they possess magical powers. Only those with a strong enough will and love can harness their power," I explained mysteriously to the children, my tone filled with guidance and anticipation.
"Really?" the children asked excitedly, completely captivated by my words, as if they truly believed what I said.
"Of course it's true!" I replied confidently, a reassuring smile on my face. "Now, each of you choose a block that you like, and infuse it with your love and courage for the toy. Remember to focus your minds and feel the power of the blocks."
The children followed my instructions, each selecting a block they liked, then closing their eyes to concentrate and channel their "Toy Power" into it.
"I want my block to be as strong as a superhero!"
"I want my block to turn into a flying castle!"
"I want my block to become a singing little animal!"
The children's faces were filled with anticipation and excitement, as if they could see their dreams coming to life. They were all filled with strength, their eyes shining with confidence and determination.
Seeing the children so serious and focused filled me with joy. They were so innocent and pure; their love for toys and pure power was indeed the weapon to defeat the Dark Lord.
"Very well, now aim your blocks at that staff and infuse your 'Toy Power' into it!" I said loudly, my voice full of strength and confidence.
"Okay!" the children replied in unison. They aimed their blocks at the staff held by the Dark Lord and poured all their strength into infusing their "Toy Power" into it.
Streams of colorful light surged from the blocks, converging into a massive beam that enveloped the Dark Lord's staff. The Dark Lord let out an angry roar, trying to control the power of the staff, but he found it growing stronger and stronger, beyond his ability to resist.
"What is this power?" the Dark Lord said in terror, his face filled with fear and despair.
"This is the love and courage of our children!" I said with a smile, my voice brimming with confidence. "You can never defeat the pure power of children!"
"No... it's impossible..." The Demon King let out his final wail before being engulfed by a massive beam of light, disappearing without a trace.
The children cheered with joy; they had witnessed a miracle, the power of love and courage.
"Brother Lin Fan, we won!" Little Emperor exclaimed excitedly, jumping up with joy and pride on his face.
"Yes, we won!" Eldest Princess said with a smile, her eyes filled with admiration and respect.
I looked at the children with a smile, my eyes full of anticipation.
"Children, today you not only defeated the Demon King but also attended a vivid lesson on 'Courage and Love.' I hope you will always remember this battle and the power of love and courage," I said solemnly, my tone filled with emotion.
"We understand, Brother Lin Fan," the children replied in unison, their eyes brimming with determination and confidence, as if they were ready to face the challenges of the future.
