"What are you messing around with? Isn't she your girlfriend?" Zhang Yang exclaimed.
"It's nothing, she's just my big brother's," Ear Stud replied.
Zhang Yang smiled wryly, "Let me tell you, Ear Stud, when a woman is with you, it's your responsibility to protect and cherish her. What you're doing is no different from being a beast."
At that moment, Zihan suddenly looked up and glanced at Zhang Yang with admiration. Ear Stud lowered his head.
"You all hurry back and rest. I promise to teach you a couple of moves, and I won't go back on my word. Come back tomorrow, and I'll teach you," Zhang Yang said seriously.
"Big brother, I was wrong," Ear Stud said before leaving with Zihan.
Zhang Yang shook his head and closed the door again.
The night passed without incident. The next morning, Ear Stud, Little Black, and Er Fei set out according to Zhang Yang's instructions. Zhang Yang had informed them of Luo Huasheng's physical characteristics, home address, license plate number, and other details.
Of course, Zhang Yang wasn't idle either; he found another inn because it was wise to have a backup plan.
Following Zhang Yang's advice, Ear Stud and the others first strolled around the Heavenly Mechanism Group area for a day. They only saw Luo Huasheng's car enter but did not see it come out.
It wasn't until evening that Luo Huasheng's car finally emerged. It was a black Audi A6; although he had a driver, this time he was driving himself.
Ear Stud, Little Black, and Er Fei were all excited and hailed a taxi to follow him.
The Audi drove at a moderate pace and soon got onto the second ring road before heading out of the city.
The Southern Suburbs of Shanzhou is a hilly area near a reservoir with scattered villas. It is referred to as a scattered villa area because the villas here are relatively independent, connected by concrete roads but lacking a defined villa community.
This also provided convenience for the eavesdroppers, as they didn't have to follow the Audi directly. Instead, they let the taxi drive to the top of the mountain and watched which small courtyard the Audi entered.
By the time the taxi left, it was already dark. The eavesdropper excitedly said to Little Black and Er Fei, "We struck gold!"
Little Black and Er Fei responded with smug laughter.
"Are you tailing someone?" The taxi driver was a burly man, with a stubbly face and greasy hair that made him look more like a butcher. His business had been poor, which was why he agreed to this job for the eavesdropper. With his appearance, how could his business be good? He also liked to make small talk.
"Yes, the people in that car owe us money," the eavesdropper replied.
"Owe you money?" The driver laughed. "The people living in that villa are either rich or noble. How could you three young... uh, young men possibly be owed money by them?" He had intended to say 'young punks' but caught himself just in time.
"We're private detectives, deliberately dressed like this," the eavesdropper said, chuckling a couple of times and trying to appear seasoned.
"Not bad!" As he said this, the driver lit a cigarette, recalling a scene from 'Domestic 007' where the commander praised Wenshi.
At that moment, Luo Huasheng was already standing on the second-floor balcony, lighting a cigarette while watching the departing taxi with a disdainful smile on his lips. After finishing one cigarette, he quickly went downstairs to the basement.
At the end of the corridor, he turned a socket, and with a rumble, the ground split open to reveal a passage!
Descending into the passage led him to another structure resembling a basement. He walked up to an iron door and peered through a small barred window before exiting the villa and getting back into the Audi A6 to drive away.
The eavesdropper, Little Black, and Er Fei were cautious enough to have the taxi stop in a busy area. They then bought fried chicken, roasted duck, marinated lamb chops, and beer before hailing another taxi back to their shared courtyard.
"Boss, we're back!" Upon returning to the courtyard, the eavesdropper hurriedly knocked on Zhang Yang's door to report this significant discovery.
However, Zhang Yang was not in his room.
An hour later, Zhang Yang returned. Ear Stud and the others had already started eating and drinking.
"Boss, come and have a drink!" Ear Stud said.
"It seems like you had quite a harvest," Zhang Yang smiled.
"Of course! Our mission went smoothly. We followed him to a villa in the South Suburb. It turns out there’s this place besides his home! I noted down the exact address and even drew a map!" Ear Stud said. He felt he had put in a lot of effort this time and was quite satisfied with himself.
"That's great. When did he leave the villa?" Zhang Yang asked as he sat down.
"Leave? He stayed there overnight; he wouldn't leave until dawn!" Ear Stud replied.
"How do you know he stayed there?" Zhang Yang asked again.
"Uh..." Ear Stud thought for a moment. Right, how did I know he stayed there? He might have left already; I should have waited.
"He went back home later," Zhang Yang said.
"You followed him too? How come we didn't see you?" Ear Stud was taken aback.
"I didn't follow him; I just kept an eye on his house for a bit. He just got home when I came back," Zhang Yang said, taking a sip of beer, suddenly finding it bitter, and gently shook his head.
"Boss, you're really impressive," Ear Stud raised his glass in admiration.
"You guys took a taxi to follow him?" Zhang Yang set down his glass and asked.
"Yeah," Ear Stud replied.
"Very good, you've worked hard. If you need more money, just let me know! Come on, have another drink!" Zhang Yang patted Ear Stud's shoulder.
"Boss, what about tomorrow?" Ear Stud noticed Zhang Yang's expression was off and immediately asked.
"You all take a break tomorrow. I have some matters to attend to," Zhang Yang smiled, "Today's results have been quite fruitful; we can't act rashly!" Hearing this from Zhang Yang, Ear Stud, Little Black, and Er Fei felt relieved.
After eating and drinking, the three went to sleep. Zhang Yang stood in the yard, thinking that Luo Huasheng must have discovered the three of them, but why did he bring them to this villa?
"Hmm!" After thinking for a while, Zhang Yang basically understood. His moment of mercy in not killing Shen Qingshui would inevitably be reported to Luo Huasheng. Although he had disguised himself and Luo Huasheng didn't know he had returned to Shanzhou, it would definitely strengthen their precautions. If these guys were discovered, Luo Huasheng should be able to guess that it was arranged by Zhang Yang. Deliberately leading them to the villa was likely an attempt to exploit his curiosity.
Even if he felt the villa was dangerous, he might still go there! After all, it's just a villa; how dangerous could it be? He wanted to give it a try!
However, Luo Huasheng probably wouldn't realize that he was watching him return home. This meant that if he wasn't at the villa tonight, it would be the best opportunity to go!
Thinking of this, Zhang Yang lit a cigarette and went over his thoughts again.
