Lingfeng grabbed Enchanting's hand tightly, unable to let go. 0

Enchanting did not struggle and leaned into Lingfeng's embrace, her heart racing like a startled deer. 0

Lingfeng gently pressed his smooth chin against Enchanting's face, the warm breath from his nostrils made her instinctively shrink her neck. 0

"By the way, it's so late. Why aren't you resting?" After a moment of silence, Lingfeng asked with concern. 0

Enchanting extended her delicate hand and lightly traced it along Lingfeng's neck, the sweet scent escaping her cherry lips. "Dare to ask me what I was doing just now? Speak honestly." Although her voice was soft and weak, it was impossible to deceive her. 0

Lingfeng thought for a moment; he certainly couldn't tell her about his visit to the secret chamber. So he chuckled and said, "I just came back from the main hall. I wasn't feeling sleepy, so I went for a walk in the forest. Hehe, I didn't expect my dear wife to visit so late. Please forgive your incompetent husband for not welcoming you!" 0

Enchanting naturally did not doubt Lingfeng's words. She merely huffed lightly and asked with a hint of jealousy, "Not feeling sleepy? Is it because you missed your friend? Why didn't you call me to join you for a walk in the forest?" 0

Lingfeng simply pulled Enchanting into his arms and gently kissed her cheek. "Of course, I wanted my wife to rest well, so I didn't disturb you!" 0

Enchanting giggled and added, "Actually, I came to tell you about Monkey Head." 0

"What about Monkey Head?" Lingfeng asked casually. Judging by the expressions and actions of the sect leader and others, they probably hadn't found Monkey Head either. 0

"I heard that the sect leader mobilized all the personnel from Auxiliary Temple, but still couldn't find Monkey Head. Do you know why?" Enchanting looked at Lingfeng, her eyes sparkling with a bright light. 0

Lingfeng was taken aback. He knew that there were many people in Auxiliary Temple who were stronger than Monkey Head in terms of cultivation. Although Monkey Head might have gone far away, with some of Auxiliary Temple's cultivators' abilities, they could easily catch up to him. Yet they hadn't found Monkey Head; this was truly a miracle. He shook his head in confusion. 0

Enchanting smiled triumphantly, revealing her pearly teeth as she gleamed with excitement. "Do you know how I made the pouch I gave him?" 0

"Is it because of that Pouch?" Lingfeng asked. 0

"Of course, that Pouch is not an ordinary Pouch; it is made of high-quality silk, with a spell of the Night Cat Demon drawn on the inside. This spell can not only conceal the carrier's presence at night but also eliminate their scent. Therefore, even the disciples of the Auxiliary Temple, and even if the sect leader personally intervenes, may not be able to find Monkey Head." 0

The Night Cat Demon is the most cunning of beasts, able to move silently among crowds at night. When transformed into human form, the Night Cat Demon can further cultivate advanced invisibility spells, but these spells can only be used at night. 0

Lingfeng nodded at Enchanting with a smile, but then furrowed his brows in confusion and asked, "Did the sect leader not personally intervene?" 0

"No," Enchanting shook his head and continued, "The sect leader needs to break through to the Nascent Soul Stage, so he doesn't dare to use spiritual power too much." 0

Later, the matter regarding Monkey Head quieted down for a while. Some people stopped mentioning it; in fact, the sect leader had already dispatched personnel and ordered them to search for Monkey Head quietly, ensuring that no one from the Mandala Demon Continent learns that Monkey Head with the Demon Root exists in this world. After careful consideration, the sect leader issued another secret order: if they cannot capture Monkey Head, they must eliminate him when they are absolutely certain. 0

Only a few loyal followers of the sect leader knew about these matters, which had never leaked outside. 0

After issuing this command, the sect leader began seclusion. His seclusion was not only because he was about to break through to the Nascent Soul Stage but also due to his guilt towards Monkey Head. Of course, having to take action against Monkey Head was a last resort for the sect leader. If Monkey Head were truly taken by the Mandala Demon Continent and successfully cultivated on the Demonic Path, then within ten years, Monkey Head could become a demon lord. 0

Although there were two possible futures for Monkey Head, it was better to mistakenly kill than to leave future troubles. 0

At this moment, Lingfeng was sitting in the courtyard practicing. 0

After circulating his True Qi for a while, Lingfeng slowly stood up and was about to practice the Suspended Staff Technique when he inadvertently noticed a leaf gently falling. 0

"The founder of the Falling Leaf Technique was inspired by observing falling leaves. But why do I feel a trace of Heart Movement when watching this leaf descend yet cannot understand why?" Lingfeng murmured as he watched the leaf drift down. 0

The leaf fell with the wind, flipping up and down. It resembled a butterfly that had lost its wings, struggling in its final moments without any sense of balance. 0

Just as the leaves were about to touch the ground, Lingfeng raised the Connecting Rod and swiftly struck at the falling leaves. 0

However, the leaves not only remained intact but also flipped upwards along the flow of the Connecting Rod before descending again. 0

"Ha!" Lingfeng felt a surge of excitement, surprised that a single leaf could evade his strike. 0

Lingfeng positioned himself, placing the Connecting Rod in front of him. Using just half of his strength, he saw a faint black glow emanating from the Connecting Rod. With a light shout, he swung it at the leaf, and the Connecting Rod spun in his hand, slicing through the air with a whoosh. 0

If this blow had struck a giant rock, it would have created a hole. Yet, that leaf seemed almost sentient, leisurely dodging the strike and flipping around as if it were enjoying itself, which infuriated Lingfeng to no end. 0

Lingfeng bent down and grabbed the leaf, examining it closely. 0

The leaf was entirely yellowed, resembling a cracked eggshell; it would shatter into pieces with just a gentle squeeze. 0

Lingfeng held the leaf in his right hand and gently clenched his fist around it. With several crisp cracks, the leaf was reduced to fragments. 0

"Unbelievable!" Lingfeng marveled inwardly as he opened his hand to find that the leaf had already lost its shape and turned to powder. 0

"This leaf was able to evade my strike; what is the principle behind this?" Lingfeng wondered, unable to grasp its cleverness. 0

Suddenly, a hearty laugh echoed from behind Lingfeng. 0

Startled, he quickly turned around. 0

There stood the sect leader with hands clasped behind his back, eyes shining brightly, and his robe billowing as if he were a divine being. 0

Lingfeng smiled, realizing why he hadn't noticed the person behind him; it was the Sect Leader. He quickly asked, "Sect Leader, have you already exited seclusion? Congratulations on breaking through to the Nascent Soul Stage and achieving Out-of-Body Experience." 0

The Sect Leader shook his head and said softly, "I haven't broken through to the Nascent Soul Stage. I've been troubled by the matter of Monkey Head for the past few days and haven't focused on my cultivation, so I haven't made any progress in my Nascent Soul." 0

Lingfeng smiled faintly, thinking that perhaps this old fellow was trying to pry information from him. He replied quietly, "Sect Leader, I truly do not know the whereabouts of Monkey Head." 0

The Sect Leader nodded slightly but then changed the subject, asking, "Do you know why this falling leaf was able to evade your attack?" 0

Lingfeng did not expect the Sect Leader to ask about this and feared he might see through his practice of the Falling Leaf Technique. He shook his head and said, "I was practicing just now and happened to see a leaf slowly falling, so I wanted to use it for practice. However, I didn't expect that even with three-tenths of my power, I couldn't injure this leaf at all, and even with five-tenths of my power, I couldn't shatter it. This left me quite puzzled." 0

The Sect Leader did not immediately reveal the mystery but instead walked over to the Mulberry Tree and softly recited an incantation. Suddenly, the tree swayed as if stirred by an unseen wind, resembling a Tree Spirit with its branches waving. Moments later, some of the leaves that had been somewhat loose began to fall. 0

The Sect Leader calmly waved his hand, and several white spiritual lights flew out from his sleeves like arrows shot into the air, piercing through all the falling Mulberry Tree leaves before vanishing in an instant. 0

The pierced Mulberry Tree leaves paused briefly before continuing to sway downwards. 0

Lingfeng looked at the Sect Leader in astonishment, unable to believe what he had just witnessed. He approached the tree and picked up a leaf, observing it closely. 0

He noticed that in the center of the still slightly green Mulberry Tree leaf was a hole about the size of a finger—exactly where the Sect Leader's attack had struck. 0

"How did you do that?" Lingfeng quickly asked. 0

The Sect Leader appeared relaxed as he replied slowly, "These leaves have little weight; therefore, when they fall, they do not descend rapidly. Instead, due to air resistance, they flutter gently downwards." 0

Lingfeng understood and added, "So when I struck with the Connecting Rod, I released a current of air that allowed the leaf to evade my attack due to the wind's force. But your earlier attack utilized Adapt to the Qi Field to allow your Spiritual Energy to bypass the wind's effect, enabling you to penetrate the leaf." 0

The Master smiled deeply and said, "You are only half right." 0

"Half right?" Lingfeng asked in confusion. 0

"I did not use Adapt to the Qi Field; I relied on my own cultivation." 0

Lingfeng was taken aback and quickly asked, "Does that mean your power has reached a level where you are unaffected by resistance?" 0

In Lingfeng's view, wind was omnipresent; even deities and spirits were subject to its force. Therefore, it seemed impossible to evade the effects of the wind. The only way to avoid its influence would be if one were an extremely small entity. However, recalling how the Master had appeared so suddenly and stealthily made Lingfeng feel puzzled. 0

The Master indeed replied, "I did not evade the force of the wind; rather, I can adapt to its influence." After a pause, he continued, "It's like dealing with some arrogant individuals; if you can instantly grasp their thoughts, they will appreciate you and promote you. But if you constantly oppose them, they will come to despise you." 0

Lingfeng still found it hard to understand. The wind field inherently had a direction; how could one go along with it? If it came down to fighting or sparring, should he really stand above the wind field? He asked, "How is that possible? I have no ability to control the wind, nor can I change its direction. How can I go along with it?" 0

"Hahaha!" The Master laughed heartily, his feet leaving the ground as he flew toward the Main Hall, leaving behind a single remark: "As long as you work hard in your cultivation, you will soon understand the principle behind it!" 0

Just when Lingfeng was not paying attention, the Master swiftly retracted some fine threads from his hand. 0
