"Uncle Liu, it's so dirty here." 0
I looked around the shabby room. The mosaic tiles already gave a feeling of being patchy and unclean, but with stains all over, unknown marks sticking to long strands of yellow-black hair, and gaps between the tiles filled with sunflower seed shells and dirt, it was enough to make one feel nauseous. 0
When I first brought people to this inn, I was busy and didn't pay much attention. But now, as Xiao Ran mentioned it, I found it unbearable. 0
If there were any other options, I wouldn't have chosen to bring Little Angel to such a filthy place. 0
But right now, there were no alternatives; slightly better hotels required identity registration. As the principal of a school, while I may not be famous, I know quite a few people and have to be cautious. 0
"Be good," I said as I picked up Xiao Ran and placed her on the bed. "All the other hotels are closed, Uncle Liu's place isn't convenient, so we'll just make do here for one night, okay?" 0
Xiao Ran was an understanding girl. She looked up at me with her small face, her eyes red, and smiled, saying, "It's okay. Mom said kids shouldn't be picky. This place is nice; there's a bed to sleep on." She patted the hard bed, and I saw a cockroach quickly scurry across the room and hide under the bed. 0
"Xiao Ran is really obedient," I said as I stroked her soft long hair. I squatted down and bent over to help her take off her teddy bear slippers. She seemed a bit shy, trying to pull her small feet into her skirt. I hadn't been particularly interested until her adorable little action instantly stirred my heart; I grabbed her small foot. Her delicate toes wiggled in my palm, and I felt myself instantly aroused. 0
"Uncle Liu—" she whimpered, her beautiful dark eyes blinking innocently at me, glistening with tears. 0
Oh my God, at that moment, I couldn't tell if she was an angel or a devil. She had a pure and flawless face that held a deadly allure like poison; if she wanted to, no man could resist her charm—and I was one of them. 0
At that moment, I didn't know if I was awake or losing my mind or if I willingly wanted to drown in this toxic pool while being awake. 0
Xiao Ran's resistance seemed increasingly intense; she bit her lip tightly, her cheeks flushed enticingly. I held her slender ankle and placed her pearl-like toes in my mouth, sucking gently... 0
"Uncle Liu!" she finally couldn't hold back any longer and called out. My excitement grew; all I could think about was pulling her into my arms and throwing her onto the bed like a lover intertwined with my very being, engaging in the most supreme and primal act in this world. 0
My arousal was overwhelming; it made me feel hot all over. I couldn't wait to carry Xiao Ran onto the bed, lift her skirt, and peel off her delicate white underwear when suddenly a loud shout came from somewhere. It startled me; chills ran down my spine. That voice sounded so familiar but passed by too quickly for me to catch it clearly. 0
Was it just my imagination? 0
I shook my head and disregarded Xiao Ran's tear-filled eyes as I pressed down on her, reassuring her in my heart that it would only hurt for a moment. We shared a deep connection; she would surely feel my eagerness. 0
"Liu Junliang!" 0
I suddenly sat up straight, kneeling in front of Xiao Ran with my ear turned to listen closely. 0
It seemed someone really was calling me. 0
"Liu Junliang, you bastard! Get back here! If you don't come back soon, I'll kill you!" Then there seemed to be comforting voices saying, "Sister-in-law, enough... don't..." I didn't pay attention; I could no longer hear anything else as my mind buzzed with noise and my heart raced uncontrollably in my chest. Trembling, I crawled off the bed; as soon as my feet touched the ground, I collapsed beside it. 0
Song Yuegui... why did I hear Song Yuegui's voice... 0
"Liu Junliang, you really are something else! Oh God, I'm done for..." Was Song Yuegui crying? 0
I began to regain some clarity and shakily reached into my outer pocket; sure enough, there was a black phone inside showing an ongoing call on the screen. 0

"Damn it! Song Yuegui, you plotted against me!" 0

I admit I was furious at that moment, angrily hanging up the phone. I glanced at Xiao Ran, who was curled up at the head of the bed, looking at me with fear. When she noticed my gaze, she immediately shifted her eyes elsewhere, like a shy mimosa. 0

"Xiao Ran, Uncle Liu has other matters to attend to and can't stay here with you. You should go to sleep obediently. I'll come to pick you up after dawn." I leaned forward to pat her head, but she flinched away as if shocked. Helpless, I stood up, straightened my clothes, and walked out. As I reached the door, I turned back to look at her; she still wore that timid expression and wouldn't meet my eyes. 0

I sighed and left the hotel, riding my bicycle home with a sense of unease. 0

Fortunately, I was mentally prepared. Faced with the mess inside the house, I managed to stay calm. I tiptoed around the shards of the thermos liner, crossed the damp blanket soaked by hot water, and picked up the feather duster that had lost its feathers, placing it upright in a vase. After a few stumbling steps, I reached the bedroom door. 0

Song Yuegui had clearly heard my footsteps and took the initiative to call out from behind the door, "Why are you back? Go to your little mistress! I'm old and not worthy of you, the principal. Why are you coming back here?" 0

Her pitiful sobs softened my hardened heart. I wanted to get angry but felt guilty towards her instead. So I stood outside the door patiently comforting her, "Stop crying. You misunderstood; that was a student from school who needed help with something at home..." 0

"Stop making excuses! With all that noise, do you think I'm deaf? I heard everything! You were calling out 'Little Angel.' It's disgusting!" 0

Her words left me speechless and defenseless. I opened my mouth but couldn't find any words. "Yuegui—I'm sorry. Don't be mad at me. I just took a wrong turn for a moment. I've realized my mistake now; I'll turn back and treat you well from now on. Is that okay? Please don't be angry." 0

"Get lost! Go find your little lover! Isn't she younger and prettier than me? Why are you apologizing to me? Go apologize to her! You two can live together; don't come here to disgust me!" Song Yuegui always wielded her grievances like weapons, crying nonstop. 0

"Yuegui, can you forgive me this once? I promise not to make the same mistake again. Can we do that?" 0

"No! I'm done! I'm getting a divorce tomorrow! I'm not going to put up with this humiliation anymore or let anyone stab me in the back saying I'm old and ugly and can't keep you anymore while you're off chasing younger girls..." 0

I shivered slightly and cautiously asked, "But they don't know about this; what would they say about you?" 0

"Who doesn't know? Everyone knows! When you were doing that thing, not just me—Yingfang heard it loud and clear too. It can't be hidden anymore, Liu Junliang! You've made me lose face! This marriage has to end! We can't go on like this!" 0
