Hou Qi is a pickpocket who often operates in crowded places such as shopping malls, train stations, and busy streets. Due to his small stature and quick thinking, he has earned the nickname "nimble monkey" in the industry. Recently, due to increased financial pressure, he has expanded his activities to include breaking into homes, picking locks, and opening safes.
Unexpectedly, one night he witnessed a murder in the home of a single man. He saw the face of the murderer clearly and later learned from the television that the incident he witnessed was part of a series of murders. Therefore, he never considered going to the police station to testify.
But after that day, he was targeted by a group of people. He was a gambler by nature, and at first he thought it was a creditor coming to collect a debt. After finding a chance to evade the other party, he didn't worry much about it. But he didn't expect the other party to pursue him relentlessly, sending several groups of people after him. It was then that he realized something was wrong, and after thinking it over, he could only link it to that night's incident.
He knew that a murder like that couldn't have too many witnesses, and he might be the only eyewitness. The other party surely wanted to eliminate him. So he quickly arranged for his family to be placed in the countryside, and then began his journey of escape.
He wanted to escape to another place by train, but was stopped before reaching the train station. His attempts to take a bus or a boat were also unsuccessful. He could only hide in the city of Wushan. One night, he was stopped again by someone at the seaside, so he had no choice but to escape into a bar by the sea. After getting a sense of the layout of the bar, he saw a beautiful female guest singing on stage, receiving a warm welcome from the others. He then made a plan.
He took the opportunity when the female guest left the dance floor, lightly touched her, and in return received a hard slap from her.
Hou Qi knew that the group of people chasing after him would soon catch up, causing more chaos. Only then could he find a chance to escape. Hou Qi secretly cursed his bad luck, thinking that he had just escaped not long ago, and now he was caught again. He felt panicked but didn't show it, and said with a smile, "You two are right, I won't shout or yell. I bet you haven't eaten yet. Let me treat you to this meal. Waiter, bring the menu!"
Two strong men looked down on Hou Qi for being thin and weak, thinking they could easily catch him if he tried to run. Soon, when the food was served, all three of them were very hungry and started eating. While Hou Qi was eating to regain his strength, he was also thinking about how to escape, but he couldn't come up with a plan.
At this moment, a group of people escorted a bald man into the restaurant. Shortly after the group settled down, two patrolling police officers also entered the restaurant.
Hou Qi recognized the bald man, knowing that because of his smooth and fair bald head, he had a nickname related to dough, and was a well-known troublemaker in the area. Seeing the man with his group and then glancing at the two patrolling police officers sitting not far away, he had an idea in mind.
