The two walked slowly toward the small courtyard. Having reached the cliff, the view opened up dramatically. On either side of the cliff were peaks of varying heights, lush and green, which naturally lifted one's spirits.
Listening carefully, they could faintly hear the rumbling sound of water. Ye Tian stepped to the edge of the cliff and looked out into the distance, where a clear blue lake lay before him. The flat cliff he had seen earlier was nowhere in sight.
Ye Tian thought for a moment and couldn't help but smile. The winding mountain paths made it easy to lose one's sense of direction. The cliff marked with "Clouds Rolling and Unrolling" was right beneath his feet; he simply hadn't realized it due to his disorientation.
The rumbling sound must be from a waterfall. He hadn't seen any waterfall plunging into the lake earlier, but it was likely due to the angle of his view.
"The waterfall flows over this cliff and drops down at the center of the cliff; if you lean over, you can see it," Wine Kid said, noticing Ye Tian's focused expression as he searched for the waterfall.
Hearing this, Ye Tian leaned over and saw a large opening in the middle of the cliff, about forty to fifty zhang wide, from which a torrent surged forth, forming a magnificent waterfall.
After observing for a while, Ye Tian stood up straight and asked with a smile, "Do you live here?"
He asked this because the scenery was exceptional, and it seemed to be a place that gathered good energy. Without a doubt, just standing there for a while made him feel clear-headed and invigorated; it truly was a blessed spot. "Yes, my master lives here too," Wine Kid nodded and then headed toward the Fence Courtyard.

"Of course not; I live below," Wine Kid pointed downwards.
"You sleep on the ground?" Ye Tian asked in surprise. Xuanyuan Changfeng had always seemed like a kind and gentle person to him; how could he possibly let such a young boy sleep on the ground?
"Not at all." Wine Kid shook his head, pushed open the wooden door of the Fence Courtyard, and gestured for Ye Tian to enter first.
Once Ye Tian stepped into the courtyard, he stopped in his tracks and waited for Wine Kid to explain.
"You'll find out soon enough." Wine Kid smiled mysteriously and went to open the door of the thatched cottage.
Creak...
The door was quite old, making a harsh sound as it opened. As the door swung wide, sunlight streamed through the gap into the room.
The room was small, easily visible at a glance, with simple furnishings: a bed on the east side, a square table with a few small chairs in the middle, and a few cooking utensils, a bag of white rice, and a water jar.
"Xuanyuan Senior lives here?" Ye Tian asked in surprise after surveying the room.
"Yes, our Cloudscroll Pavilion is different from others; our living quarters are all like this, and Master is no exception." While speaking, Wine Kid had already poured a cup of water and handed it to Ye Tian.
Ye Tian took the cup, frowning slightly. From what Wine Kid said, it seemed that the other three pavilions did not live in such poverty. He wondered why Cloudscroll Pavilion had to be this way. Logically speaking, a prestigious sect like Cloud Sea Sect should have wealth piled high; how could they allow their disciples to live so frugally?
"Master says that gold and silver can make people restless." Wine Kid sat down beside the square table and began drinking tea.
"Indeed," Ye Tian nodded in agreement and then looked around the room.
"By the way, have you heard of a female disciple named Cold Moon?" After feeling bored from wandering around for a while, Ye Tian thought he would go look for Cold Moon.
He turned around for a moment, but in reality, he had only taken a few steps because the space inside the room was simply too small.
"Of course I recognize her; she's quite famous," Wine Kid seemed to have a good impression of Cold Moon. As soon as Ye Tian mentioned her name, he immediately became interested.
"Famous?" Ye Tian frowned and asked.

Ye Tian was taken aback upon hearing this. Just how much did Xuanyuan Changfeng dote on this boy that Ye Tian could sense no trace of respect for a mentor in Wine Kid's words or actions?
"Wine Kid, I think we should go back and clean up a bit," Ye Tian suggested, trying to grab Wine Kid, but to his surprise, he couldn't hold him back. Reluctantly, he had to channel Martial Origin Power, which finally made Wine Kid stop in his tracks.
"I told you it’s unnecessary. Why are you so narrow-minded?" Wine Kid said, showing displeasure after being stopped by Ye Tian.
Ye Tian was momentarily stunned by his words, but Wine Kid quickly realized his tone was inappropriate and chuckled, "Sorry about that. I just..."
"It's fine, it's fine." Ye Tian wouldn't really blame him; he was just surprised by how eager this kid was to see beautiful girls.
"That's good then. Let's hurry up," Wine Kid said this time without pulling Ye Tian along, leading the way ahead at a brisk pace.
Ye Tian had no choice but to jog a few steps to catch up and asked, "Aren't you afraid of Xuanyuan Senior's punishment?"
Wine Kid chuckled and said, "As long as I practice hard, my master never punishes me for anything else."
After saying this, Footsteps quickened a bit more. As they walked, Wine Kid suddenly stopped, as if he had thought of something, and advised Ye Tian, "By the way, my master likes decisive people. If you keep rambling like this, he might find it annoying."
Upon hearing this, Ye Tian was taken aback again. He had always been decisive; whether in speech or action, he had never hesitated even in matters of life and death. To think that he was being mocked by a mere child was truly unfair.
However, after a moment's reflection, he realized it was indeed true. It was just a broken teacup; even Wine Kid didn't care about it, yet he had fussed over it for so long. It did seem a bit petty.
Thinking this way, Ye Tian felt that Wine Kid made a valid point. The reason Xuanyuan Changfeng had looked at him differently that day was because he dared to stand up to Li Xun, and his actions were decisive yet agile, maintaining a clear stance without being rude. If Xuanyuan Changfeng saw him today fussing over a teapot, he would probably think he was blind for misjudging him.
"How far do we have to go?" After coming to this realization, Ye Tian quickened his pace significantly. Since there was no need for worry, his eagerness to meet an old friend grew.
Now it was Wine Kid's turn to be stunned. He looked at Ye Tian in confusion and after sizing him up, asked with a strange laugh, "Are you really just old friends?"
"What do you think?" Ye Tian rolled his eyes at Wine Kid, then mocked him saying, "At your young age, shouldn't you be looking at someone beautiful who is more like yourself?"
"No way!" Wine Kid shook his head vigorously.
"Why not?" Ye Tian asked curiously.
"For no reason. I just like her. Once I grow taller than her, I'll marry her," Wine Kid said confidently without even blushing, as if it were a certainty.
"..." Ye Tian was left speechless and quickened his pace even more to overtake Wine Kid. At this point, he wasn't worried about not having someone to lead the way anymore because there was only this small path ahead. Moreover, in the valley ahead, he could already see the dark blue roof tiles and faintly hear the cheerful laughter of women. It seemed they were approaching the Azure Cloud Pavilion.
"What's wrong, don't you believe it?" Wine Kid lightly tapped the ground with his toes and quickly chased after Ye Tian.
Seeing this, Ye Tian chuckled and decided to have some fun with the kid. He also accelerated, and with the use of Yuqi Tayan Jue, he instantly appeared twenty zhang away.

"Wine Kid, if you can surpass me before reaching that jujube tree over there, I'll say a few good words for you after I meet Cold Moon. How about that?" Ye Tian pointed to a jujube tree more than a hundred zhang ahead and smiled.
"Master?!" Wine Kid suddenly looked towards the southern mountain peak, his expression filled with surprise.
Hearing this, Ye Tian laughed heartily and reached out to grab Wine Kid, who was trying to take advantage of the moment to run ahead.
