After the Abbot of the Arhat Hall finished speaking, he kept staring at Ye Tian with a sinister smile. The face that had seemed ethereal and transcendent during their last meeting now appeared so eerie and terrifying.
Calculating his age, the Abbot of the Arhat Hall must be over seventy, with deep wrinkles on his face and eyes that were slightly cloudy. Yet, what remained were the madness and cruel delight.

Before the golden light reached it, the Blood Leech exploded on its own, a milky substance surging out with no blood left inside. Crawling out from its body were six or seven small Blood Leeches with wings on their backs.

The golden light struck just in time; these disgusting creatures seemed to make no sound and turned to ash amidst the rising white smoke.
"Hmm?" The Abbot of the Arhat Hall frowned slightly, finally sensing something was off. Logically, the Blood Leech inside Ye Tian should have been fully fed. Could there have been an accident?

At these words, Ye Tian raised an eyebrow but did not get angry. The Abbot was clearly trying to provoke him for more than just a momentary satisfaction; there must be some sinister motive behind it.

However, with his experience, he would not be easily provoked. He laughed heartily and said, "The dead are merely some useless trash. If the Lin family truly had any capability, why would I still be living so freely?"
"Yes, yes, yes. I need to explain this to you; otherwise, you might think I am being unclear," the Abbot continued. "I have no interest in those brothels; there is only one thing that brings me joy. Can you guess what it is?"
Before Ye Tian could respond, the Abbot went on, "It is slaughter!"
"Watching them being tortured to death bit by bit, seeing their terrified eyes, listening to their heart-wrenching wails—how exhilarating it is!"
At this moment, even Ye Tian's calm demeanor could not help but curse inwardly at the perversion of it all. The other party was not only trying to provoke him but was also stating an undeniable fact.
Who could leisurely sip tea in such a bloody and disgusting scene? Is this something a normal person would do?
"You are no different from a beast, but you probably underestimate me," Ye Tian sneered.
"Underestimate? What makes you think that?" the Abbot of the Arhat Hall asked with apparent interest.
"You think I came here for what? To save them?" Ye Tian gestured towards the struggling Star Hall Guardian, "I am only here to kill you; their lives and deaths have nothing to do with me!"
Upon hearing this, the Abbot of the Arhat Hall laughed heartily, filled with disdain. After a while, he said, "I truly believe you now. Go ahead and make your move..."
Before he could even finish the word "ah," Ye Tian suddenly flashed forward, unleashing a beam of golden light from his palm.
The Abbot of the Arhat Hall was taken aback. He had thought that Ye Tian was merely trying to intimidate him, but it turned out that this kid was genuinely disregarding the lives of the people in Southern Wilderness Town and attacking him.
In truth, Ye Tian felt he had no choice. Killing the Abbot of the Arhat Hall might plunge Southern Wilderness Town into endless disaster, but not killing him would certainly lead to even more severe consequences.

He was willing to take a gamble, just like he did at the Heroic Gathering Tavern, betting everything on this moment to force his opponent into submission. After all, with strength on his side, if the Abbot of the Arhat Hall did not compromise, he would undoubtedly die today.
He believed that the Abbot was not someone so insane as to disregard his own life; otherwise, why would he hide and retreat instead of directly placing the Blood Leech in the Lin family’s main hall?

The golden light shot forth and collided with a stone bench flying towards it, resulting in a muffled explosion as the stone bench shattered.
"Lu Ba?" Ye Tian turned to see Lu Ba striding towards him.
