"Why don't you go find Kong Xuan if you're dealing with ghosts? Why come to me? You know Kong Xuan, right?" I turned to Fatty and shrugged. "The two of us are only good at pretending to be ghosts!" 0

"I've already looked for Master Kong. He stayed at our company for three days. While he was there, nothing supernatural happened; everything was perfectly normal. But as soon as he turned to leave, all sorts of paranormal events started occurring. Master Kong couldn't do anything about it; it might be that his aura is too strong, and the ghosts are too scared to show themselves in front of him. He suggested I find someone without any magical power but who understands demons. He highly recommended you. Although you don't have any powers, ordinary demons can't harm you, making you the best candidate," Tang Zian said with a sheepish smile. 0

"He really recommended me?" I rubbed my nose, both amused and exasperated. 0

"Yes, just earlier, Master Kong was in the office with me," Tang Zian said with a bitter smile. "To be honest, so far, this ghost hasn't caused much trouble; no one has died, just some frights here and there. I think since the ghost is avoiding Master Kong, it shows that this ghost is quite cautious." 0

"Cautious? This ghost is so shy; it's embarrassing for the Underworld!" Fatty laughed. 0

"What do you want me to do?" I asked, also chuckling. 0

"I hope Ghost Brother can come work at my company," Tang Zian hesitated. "Because besides the possibility of a ghost, there's also the chance that someone is playing tricks. If it's someone causing trouble, it must be an insider... Anyway, whether it's a person or a ghost, we need you as a Graphic Designer to enter our company and become part of the team to catch this person... or ghost." 0

Tang Zian chuckled awkwardly and continued, "After discussing it with Master Kong, I quickly called you, but neither your nor Fat Brother's phone had signal. In desperation, I sent my subordinates to find you." 0

"Alright, no problem. We'll report to the company tomorrow!" I readily agreed upon hearing this. 0

"Uh, Ghost Brother, we currently only have one position available at our company. If it's an insider manipulating everything, then if I forcefully create another position, they will become suspicious. So... Fat Brother doesn't need to go," Tang Zian said with an apologetic expression. 0

"Fine, no problem. I'll go report to your company alone then. Your company is on the 15th floor of Bond Building, right?" I waved my hand dismissively. 0

"Uh, Ghost Brother, you haven't understood my point yet. What I mean is that you need to go through the proper channels: submit your resume first and wait for HR to notify you for an interview until you're hired... I won't interfere with any of this; I'll even pretend not to know you so that whoever is causing trouble won't get suspicious. Similarly, I'll talk to Zeng Xian and ask him to act like he doesn't know you either," Tang Zian said with even more embarrassment on his face. 0

"You..." I pointed at Tang Zian and paused before finally letting out a bitter laugh. "Alright, I'll help you this time. But you have to arrange for Fatty to have dinner with a top domestic actress!" 0

Fatty's eyes lit up at this: "Following Ghost Brother is the proudest thing in my life—no exceptions!" 0

Tang Zian was taken aback for a moment and smiled, saying, "No problem, leave it to me!" 0

... 0

Upon returning home, he found the house empty. He took out his phone to make a call but discovered there was still no signal. It was strange; both he and Fatty had restarted their phones several times and even had a technician check them, but the technician shook his head, indicating there was no issue with the phones. 0

He opened his computer and registered an account on a job recruitment website, casually filling in his personal information. In the work experience section, he entered four years. This was strategic; if the work experience was too short, employers would worry about a lack of experience, while if it was too long, they might think he would be difficult to manage. 0

Next, he searched for advertising companies in the county under Star City to list as part of his work experience. This was more credible; for HR departments, employment at well-known foreign companies might be verified, but that was only a possibility. Employment at a county-level advertising company would not be scrutinized. 0

Of course, he filled in his previous company as Golden Blade Advertising Company. He shamelessly wrote that he had worked there for two years, not worried at all about being exposed because the Human Resources Department at Golden Blade knew his background. Who would dare offend Jin Zhenzhong? 0

Finally, he copied some professional resume phrases from online sources, such as "proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, with a certain understanding of pre-press processes..." Just as he was engrossed in this task, he heard the sound of keys at the front door. Turning around, he saw Guo'er and Qingcheng had returned. 0

"Why are you always out of service area? Even if you need to go for health treatment, you don't have to resort to such outdated tricks like removing the battery," Qingcheng said with a smile while changing her shoes. 0

Removing the battery was an old method; if you pulled out the battery while the phone was on and then called that number, it would indicate that the owner was out of service area. 0

"Come on, there's no signal at all; it's strange," he replied with a laugh. "Who still uses such an old-fashioned method? You can just switch to airplane mode." 0

He gestured for Guo'er to take out her SIM card and then put his card into Guo'er's phone. When he powered it on, the signal was full bars. Calling Qingcheng went through without any issues; it seemed to be a problem with their phones since both he and Fatty had bought theirs from the same store. 0

"Let's go check the store tomorrow," Guo'er said with a smile. "Your phone is too unreliable; maybe you should just buy a new one." 0

"I might not have time tomorrow!" He pointed at his computer. "Look, I'm busy with something important." 0

"Your resume?" The two girls leaned over to take a look and curiously asked what was going on. 0

I recounted today's events, and Guo'er and Qingcheng burst into laughter. 0

"What are you laughing at? What’s so funny! I still need to cram for using Photoshop tonight, so don’t disturb me!" I said, puzzled. Isn’t it just about becoming a Graphic Designer? What’s so amusing about that? 0

"Actually, you don’t even need Photoshop anymore. A good Graphic Designer just needs to know Meitu Xiuxiu," Qingcheng said, resting her head on Guo'er’s back, laughing so hard she could barely breathe. "With Meitu Xiuxiu in hand, you won’t have to worry about graphic design! Old saying, dead and gone." 0

I rolled my eyes and gritted my teeth while working on my resume. "You two just keep laughing; wait until you see how I deal with you later!" 0

"There are no fields ruined by farming, only cows worn out from work. Who's afraid of you!" This was actually said by Guo'er, which made me even more frustrated. 0

So after submitting my resume, that night I worked like a cow, using all my skills to plow through the tasks until they begged for mercy before I stopped. 0

The next morning, since both my and Fatty's phones had no signal, we could only have Guo'er call An Ran to arrange for Fatty to go to the Mobile Store at eleven. 0

When we arrived at the Mobile Store, we found it packed with people. At first, I thought there was a promotion going on, but once inside, I realized everyone was there because their phones had no signal, and the atmosphere was charged with agitation. 0

"I thought it was just my phone that had no signal. Coming over here, wow, turns out everyone's phone is out of service..." 0

"When they sold it to us, they claimed it was a reliable big brand. What a joke! My neighbor bought a domestic Banana Phone that has fallen in water three times and still works after drying it with a hairdryer. Mine fell in water once and went black screen; I had to spend over six hundred on repairs. When I complained about the price being too high, they just shrugged and said take it or leave it. Damn it! I’ve only used this for two months and now there's no signal—what kind of nonsense is this?" 0

"What do you know? I'm waiting for an important call from my first love who flew back from across the ocean just to relive our old dreams together. Instead, I spent the whole night alone in the hotel reliving various TV channels wishing me goodnight..." 0

"Look at how great Orange Phones are; even rich people use them. Damn! I sold a kidney just to buy this phone, and now I've barely used it for a month—what kind of crap is this?" 0

... 0

Fatty and I stared in disbelief at the crowd around us. We initially thought our grievances were significant but realized that compared to these people, we were as fortunate as children raised in a honey pot. 0

After a while of commotion, a middle-aged man with a rather weathered face walked out of the store, accompanied by a Slim Young Man. Seeing the crowd in disarray, the middle-aged man took a headset from a Saleswoman, blew into the microphone a couple of times, and cleared his throat. "Ladies and gentlemen, regarding the signal loss issue with the Orange Phone, we have already contacted headquarters, and they will provide you with a solution in due time." 0

Upon hearing someone speak up, the crowd quieted down slightly, eager to hear what the middle-aged man had to say next. 0

"Now, please register your details. Once we have a resolution for this matter, we will notify everyone individually," the middle-aged man said with a blank expression. 0

As soon as he finished speaking, the crowd erupted again. A young man wearing glasses shouted, "You're just taking advantage of the crowd! You need to give us an answer! Who knows how long you will delay this?" 0

"Exactly!" The crowd echoed in agreement before starting to chatter again. 0

"If this isn't resolved soon, I'll find someone to expose this!" a woman with slight freckles shouted. 0

"Expose? You can call the Press and see if they send a reporter over," the middle-aged man replied with a hint of disdain at the Freckled Woman's words. 0

"That's your statement; don't regret it!" The Freckled Woman was furious and pulled out an old mobile phone to start dialing while muttering, "You made me use this ancient phone, and now you think you have the right to complain?" 0

The Slim Young Man moved slightly at this point, but the Middle-Aged Man placed a hand on his shoulder, shaking his head with a cold smile, seemingly unfazed by the Freckled Woman's threat. 0
