Zhong Kui's Diary
"What kind of expression is that?" I felt quite uncomfortable inside. After all this, you still don't believe me? To be honest, if it weren't for Litong, I wouldn't even bother with your Sha Zhiyuan situation. I sneered coldly, "Do you think I don't know? You hid the Yin-Yang Ancient Coin under the floor in the Rui Company finance room, didn't you?"
Sha Zhiyuan's face turned pale instantly. "How did you know?"
"Don't worry about how I know. The point is, I do know. Now you should realize that I'm not after your Yin Yang Ancient Coin, right? If I wanted the Yin Yang Ancient Coin, I could just take it directly without wasting my breath on you. Boss Sha, you're supposed to be a compassionate person; why do you see everyone as a bad guy?" I shook my head.
After a long silence, Sha Zhiyuan sighed deeply. "It's just that this Yin Yang Ancient Coin is too important."
"What's so important about it? Doesn't it just increase magical power?" I scoffed. "Anyway, we aren't a match for the Demon. No matter how they increase their magical power, they just become stronger; it doesn't really concern us, does it? To put it simply, we're like kindergarten kids, and whether they're middle schoolers or college students, we can't beat them anyway, so what's the difference?"
"You have no idea about the uses of this Yin Yang Ancient Coin." Sha Zhiyuan looked at me for a while before sighing again. "Do you really think this Yin Yang Ancient Coin only allows the Demon to increase their magical power?"
"Isn't that so?" I was somewhat surprised.
"I heard that voice earlier along with your words; he wasn't wrong about some ancient tales. Long ago, Yang Ding and Yin Jiu You were top-tier existences between heaven and earth. Even the Judgment of Life and Death was only slightly superior to them. Do you know why they were so powerful?" Sha Zhiyuan suddenly brought up historical references, which surprised me. That was a long time ago... Damn it, this topic is getting too far-fetched.
I remained silent and listened to Sha Zhiyuan continue.
"Yang Ding was taught by the Sun God, while Yin Jiu You was a disciple of the Moon Demon," Sha Zhiyuan said solemnly.
"Sun God? Moon Demon?!" I was taken aback. These two figures were comparable to the Judgment of Life and Death. Later on, they fought fiercely for control over humanity; the Sun God perished on the spot, and the Moon Demon has been in slumber ever since. Lin Gang and Mo Green are still tasked with guarding the Moon Demon.
Nearby, I heard a gasp from Wind Rooster. It seemed he also understood how terrifying the Sun God and the Moon Demon were.
"It seems you all know how terrifying the Sun God and the Moon Demon are," Sha Zhiyuan said with a bitter smile.
"But didn't the Sun God and the Moon Demon end up mutually assured destruction?" I asked in surprise.
"That's right, the Sun God died on the spot, and the Moon Demon fell into a deep slumber. Although their disciples, Yang Ding and Yin Jiu You, inherited their abilities, they did not inherit their ambitions. In the end, Yang Ding and Yin Jiu You became friends instead of foes, having already left the Yin-Yang Realms for a more mysterious world." Sha Zhiyuan coughed lightly. "I digress; this matter has little to do with Yang Ding and Yin Jiu You. After the Sun God died, his energy did not vanish but instead roamed between the earth."
"Hmm?" I was already curious upon hearing this.
"The Yin-Yang Ancient Coin was created by Yang Ding and Yin Jiu You before they left the Yin-Yang Realms. As long as one gathers all seven Yin-Yang Ancient Coins, they can harness the Sun God's energy for themselves." The bitterness on Sha Zhiyuan's face became more pronounced. "However, within the Sun God's energy lies a massive amount of violent aura. It can be said that whoever absorbs the Sun God's energy will first commit slaughter against humanity."
Hearing this from Sha Zhiyuan left me stunned.
"Now you should understand why I don't want to hand the Yin-Yang Ancient Coin over to anyone else, right? If someone gathers all seven Yin-Yang Ancient Coins to absorb the Sun God's energy, humanity will face a catastrophic disaster." Sha Zhiyuan's voice was filled with bitterness. "Because of this, even though my wife fell into addiction because of them and my daughter was starved to death by them, I have never revealed the whereabouts of the Yin-Yang Ancient Coin. I know that this coin is closely tied to humanity's fate..."
Sha Zhiyuan paused for a moment, took a deep breath, and continued. "My ancestors also understood this point well. To prevent demons from using spells to coerce us, they specifically set up a peculiar constitution for future generations; anyone struck by a spell would immediately faint or even die."
"Your ancestors seem to have understood spells as well; why didn't you learn?" I asked curiously.
"That's because my ancestors knew that if we learned spells, we would develop covetous thoughts towards the Yin-Yang Ancient Coin." Sha Zhiyuan smiled bitterly. "So after obtaining this Yin-Yang Ancient Coin, the first thing they did was establish a hereditary constitution for us descendants and instructed us to keep this coin hidden well. Then... they committed suicide."
I couldn't help but feel a deep respect. The Sha family had silently guarded this barrier for humanity, even sacrificing their families without giving up. For a moment, I felt a mix of emotions; compared to them, I felt incredibly insignificant.
After a while, I cleared my throat and said, "So it turns out that those who want to obtain the Yin-Yang Ancient Coin are coveting the Sun God's energy lurking between the earth?"
Sha Zhiyuan nodded and said hoarsely, "These demons do not care about humanity's survival; in their eyes, the lives of all humans are worth less than their own power enhancement."
I also smiled bitterly. Had I known that this Yin-Yang Ancient Coin was so important, I would never have given it to Jiang Ziyu. As for the Ghostly Zombie Old Man, he had completely taken it by force; I had no way to resist.
Both of us fell into silence for a moment. Suddenly, Sha Zhiyuan asked, "What did you mean earlier when you used the Yin-Yang Ancient Coin for some schemes?"
"I originally planned to reveal the whereabouts of the Yin-Yang Ancient Coin and inform various factions about it so that they would kill each other off. Ideally, I could use them to eliminate Yun Zhihan," I laid out my plan. "Now that I know how significant the Yin-Yang Ancient Coin is, I naturally need to change my strategy."
"What good ideas do you have?" Sha Zhiyuan suddenly perked up.
"Just find another place to hide it!" I scratched my head.
"That won't work," Sha Zhiyuan decisively rejected. "They are definitely watching me right now. As soon as I go to get the Yin Yang Ancient Coin, they will jump out immediately. Honestly, if it weren't for the fact that Rui Company built that floor early, it would have been impossible to keep this from them."
At this point, I curiously asked, "By the way, Sha Zong, there's one question I don't understand."
"What is it?"
"Why do you have to keep the Yin Yang Ancient Coin at home? Can't you just dig a hole somewhere and bury it? Have you seen Transformers? Just find a ship and go to the Pacific, put the Yin Yang Ancient Coin in a bottle, pour some cement over it, and toss it into the Pacific Mariana Trench. Who could possibly find it?" I expressed my confusion.
"If it were that simple, it would be great. The Yin Yang Ancient Coin must be among people to conceal its aura. If you bury it in a desolate mountain area, after ten or half a month, the aura of the Yin Yang Ancient Coin will be released. By then, those Demons could easily find it. What about the Mariana Trench? Do you think those Demons can't go down there?" Sha Zhiyuan shook his head.
"It seems we can only find a master like Yang Ding to keep the Yin Yang Ancient Coin safe; then Yun Zhihan and others wouldn't dare to make any moves," I frowned and sighed.
"Master, you can do it! As long as you merge the Four Great Mystical Realms within you, although you won't be as strong as Yang Ding, ordinary Grandmaster Level experts wouldn't be your match at all. Even if you only merge one Mystical Realm, you can still enter the Grandmaster Level ranks," Wind Rooster chimed in.
"That’s just a possibility; it's not guaranteed that you can merge them," I scoffed.
"Even if it's just a possibility, it's better than being completely at a loss right now," Wind Rooster chuckled.
I paused for a moment and laughed, "That's true. I'll go out and ask Ice Cream later; for now, we can only take one step at a time."
Sha Zhiyuan gritted his teeth: "You just used the Yin Yang Ancient Coin to incite them to fight among themselves. How confident are you that they will actually turn on each other?"
"Because I have three Yin Yang Ancient Coins, all of which they took," I said with a bitter smile, revealing the truth: "They are not working together; they are fighting their own battles."
"What?" Sha Zhiyuan exclaimed in shock. "You mean they have at least three Yin Yang Ancient Coins in their possession? If I include mine, that makes four!"
I nodded. "However, these three Yin Yang Ancient Coins are in the hands of two people, and neither can do anything to the other. For now, we don't need to worry about one person taking all three."
Sha Zhiyuan pondered for a moment. "Since I've already been targeted by them, if it comes to worst, I'll follow your plan to incite infighting among them. Sometimes opportunities arise from chaos; we might just be able to take advantage of the situation."
It seemed this was the only option we had. After discussing the details with Sha Zhiyuan, I reconvened with Wind Rooster. During this crisis period, there was no need for a signal to activate the Restriction; as long as I grasped the golden orb and established a mental connection, I could initiate it.
When we returned to the office, the first thing I did was stuff the golden orb into the Mustard Seed Pendant. At that moment, I vaguely heard a soft gasp from above, seemingly from Gugu. I couldn't help but chuckle; I knew you would come to eavesdrop.
"Sha Zong, I'm leaving now," I said while still holding onto Sha Zhiyuan's hand.
Sha Zhiyuan huffed and pulled his hand away, turning towards his desk. Tsk tsk, it seemed he was quite the actor, rivaling Kong Xuan.
Just as I reached the front desk, Gugu chased after me from behind. "You're leaving just like that?"
"Yeah, they don't welcome me here; going down is pointless. You saw how it was back there," I replied with a smile, subtly hinting at her eavesdropping.
Gugu didn't deny it and smiled back at me. "So what does pulling out a golden orb mean?"
