"You two are doomed with this hand." I looked at my cards, unable to contain my excitement—four Aces, three Kings, three Fours, three Sevens, one Six, and one Jack. 0

"Not necessarily, don't celebrate too early. Let's see how you lose later!" Fatty said defiantly. It was my turn to call the landlord, and I had just taken the bottom cards, which made Fatty furious since I had affected his chance to win. 0

"Three Fours with a Six and a Jack." I threw out a sequence. 0

"Four Fives!" Fatty immediately played a bomb. 0

Kong Xuan laughed as I cursed, "You old man, do you have to play so fiercely? Four Aces!" 0

"Four!" Fatty slammed down another bomb. 0

"Pass!" Kong Xuan continued to laugh. 0

"Damn! A super bomb!" I was also angry and threw down my ultimate card. 0

"No one wants it?" I laughed as I played three Kings. 0

"Four Eights!" Fatty grinned widely. "Ghost Brother, don’t think you’re impressive just because you know Zhao Bingbing. Don’t get too cocky; you haven’t reached that level yet. Haha, it’s your turn now, Kong Xuan." 0

Zhao Bingbing? Oh no, I suddenly realized something I hadn’t done... I slapped my forehead. Oh no, I still need to invite her to dinner! Looking at the time, wow, it’s already nine o'clock. I need to hurry and make a call. 0

"One King; that should be the biggest card, right? Haha… three Nines, three Tens, three Jacks, three Queens with four random cards—sorry, I'm out of cards." Kong Xuan's laughter echoed from beside me. 0

"I have something to attend to, so I'll leave first." I took out my phone to make a call and stood up to walk towards the door. 0

"Hey, you haven't paid yet!" Two voices shouted angrily from behind me. 0

I ignored their noise and continued on my way. 0

The phone rang several times before Zhao Mimi finally answered, "Zhou Lei, have you finally secured a seat?" 0

That voice seemed to carry a hint of menace. Tsk tsk, gambling really does lead to trouble, as expected. 0

Zhao Bingbing was wearing sunglasses, a black shirt, and white denim shorts, but on her feet were a pair of flip-flops. She followed me along the roadside, and eventually, I pointed at a greasy table and two plastic stools, saying, "This will do." 0

"This is the seat you reserved?" Zhao Bingbing looked at me with frost in her eyes. 0

I laughed heartily, "Of course! You should know that getting a spot at this Spicy Hot Pot place is quite difficult." 0

Zhao Bingbing huffed and stood beside me, visibly annoyed. I grabbed a napkin and casually wiped down the plastic stool: "Have a seat." 0

"Are you sure you're not just brushing me off? You actually found such a dirty place." Zhao Bingbing sat down with an angry expression, glancing at the greasy table and momentarily unsure where to put her bag. 0

"Are you even from Star City? I refuse to believe you've never eaten at this Spicy Hot Pot before. This place has great business; just having a spot to sit is already quite good." I sat down and wiped the table in front of Zhao Bingbing a few times, then placed another plastic stool next to her: "Put your bag on this stool." 0

"My bag is a limited edition; what if it gets dirty?" Zhao Bingbing glared at me. 0

The boss of Spicy Hot Pot came over and greeted me with a smile, saying, "Ghost Brother, I'm really sorry. You called a bit late, and the good spot by the river is gone." 0

I laughed, "This spot is pretty good too. Thanks for saving it for me. Well, let's start with some skewers, and also bring me two bottles of beer, chilled." 0

After hesitating for a moment, I leaned closer to Zhao Bingbing and lowered my voice, "By the way, are you feeling unwell? Is it okay for you to drink chilled beer?" 0

Zhao Bingbing shot me a fierce glare first, then looked me up and down with a strange expression for a while before finally nodding, "I'm fine." 0

"Great, then it's chilled beer," I waved at the boss, who smiled and agreed before turning to leave. I felt a bit smug as I said to Zhao Bingbing, "I wasn't lying to you; luckily, I have a good relationship with the boss, which is why I reserved this spot." 0

Zhao Bingbing pouted and huffed, "You just don't have any sincerity!" 0

"Come on, do I need to wear a suit and tie to take you out for steak and foie gras to show sincerity? Aren't you wearing a t-shirt and shorts with flip-flops? How can you even think about going into those high-end places dressed like that? Uh... forget it; it's up to you. If you're not happy, you can leave right now." While saying this, I secretly took a photo with my phone. Whether it was a group photo or not didn't matter; at this point, the mission was accomplished. Do whatever you want; I'm too lazy to cater to you. 0

To my surprise, Zhao Bingbing rolled her eyes and placed her bag on the chair. She rolled up her sleeves and smiled sweetly, "Since we're here, let's eat a bit before we go." 0

Her attitude changed so quickly without any sign of hesitation; her expressions and movements were as smooth as flowing water. She truly is a star, I thought in admiration. Soon after, the boss brought over the beer and skewers. 0

I stirred the pot a couple of times and tossed all the skewers in. I opened the beer and poured two glasses, handing one to Zhao Bingbing with a smile. "Can you take off your sunglasses? Wearing them at night makes you look crazy." 0

Zhao Bingbing looked at me with a half-smile and said, "Aren't you afraid others will recognize me? Sister Sun isn't here; if something happens, will you protect me?" 0

"First of all, don't be too confident in yourself. Even if you take off your sunglasses, people might not recognize you," I raised my glass and downed my beer in one go without caring whether Zhao Bingbing drank or not. I poured more beer for myself and continued, "Secondly, even if something happens, I can help you deal with it." 0

Zhao Bingbing smiled and finished her beer in one gulp. "Are you better than Sister Sun?" 0

"I don't have that, I just handle my own problems," I said as I filled her glass with wine and smiled. 0

"I see." Zhao Bingbing pondered for a moment, then took off her sunglasses and looked around defiantly. 0

As I expected, people are self-centered. Even though Zhao Bingbing took off her sunglasses, not a single person at the crowded Spicy Hot Pot stall noticed her. 0

"You really guessed it right," Zhao Bingbing said somewhat disappointedly in a low voice. 0

"It wasn't really a guess; there are reasons for it." 0

"What reasons?" Zhao Bingbing asked curiously. I knew she was concerned about why others ignored her. 0

"The lighting here is dim, and you're dressed quite ordinarily. Even if others saw you, they would only think you resemble Zhao Bingbing," I replied lightly. "As I mentioned earlier, people are self-centered. Everyone craves attention from others rather than paying attention to them. Unless we are positioned at the visual center of everyone's attention, like on a TV screen, only then will people notice us." 0

"That makes sense," Zhao Bingbing said with a smile as she took a sip of beer, then eagerly started eating Spicy Hot Pot. 0

Seeing Zhao Bingbing like this made me chuckle inwardly. After all, she came from Star City, and this place holds many memories for her. Even though she is now high up, deep down she still hopes to relive her childhood memories. Perhaps that's why Zhao Bingbing didn't leave earlier. 0

After a few beers, Zhao Bingbing became more talkative, sharing stories about her career and success in the Star City dialect. As she drank more beer, her topics began to stray. I not only heard about her glamorous side but also about her struggles and the hardships she faced while trying to survive in the cracks of society. 0

At this point, there was no doubt that Zhao Bingbing was somewhat drunk. When she called the boss to settle the bill, she insisted on continuing to drink. Unable to refuse, I accompanied her for a few more bottles until she started staring blankly and rambling incoherently. Only then did I help her leave. The Spicy Hot Pot boss gave me a thumbs up and quietly said, "Ghost Brother, this girl is not bad; she looks just like Zhao Bingbing." 0

"This is Zhao Bingbing!" I laughed. 0

"Right, right! That's you! By the way, when she calls for bed later, will she shout 'You are heartless and cold; you are unreasonable'? Or will she say 'When mountains crumble and earth merges, only then will I part with you'? Or will she just start singing 'Let us live freely in this world'... Hahaha." The Spicy Hot Pot boss patted my shoulder and laughed heartily. 0

Why is it that the truth is always disbelieved? 0

I called a taxi, and during the ride, Zhao Bingbing threw up. I could only smile apologetically at the driver and ended up paying an extra hundred yuan for the cleaning fee to calm his anger. Even then, the driver said, "If it weren't for the fact that this girl looks a bit like Zhao Bingbing, I wouldn't let this go." 0

What a problem. No matter how impressive Zhao Bingbing is, can you ask her to summon a lightning bolt? Even a Grandmaster-level Expert should know some respect; there are only ten of us in this realm, understood? 0

I almost carried Zhao Bingbing to the door of room 1018. By this time, she was completely unconscious. I opened her handbag, took out the room card, and opened the door. I casually tossed her onto the sofa and stepped outside to knock on the door of the adjacent room, hoping her bodyguard, Sister Sun, would come take care of her. To my surprise, after knocking for quite a while, there was no response from next door. That bodyguard couldn't have gone out on a date too, could she? 0

I walked back to my room in disappointment, closed the door, and pondered for a moment. I should have just tossed her on the bed and left, but given that Zhao Bingbing was covered in vomit, it wouldn't be right to leave her like that. After thinking it over, it seemed I had no choice but to help clean her up. 0

I am very aware of my own self-control. If it were a girl dressed neatly, I wouldn't have any inappropriate thoughts. However, if a girl stood before me completely undressed, I would definitely have those thoughts. Damn, I'm a normal man; how could I not be tempted by such an extraordinary beauty right in front of me? 0

If I were Fatty, there would be no need to think twice; he would have already started making moves. But I'm not him, so I'm conflicted. Sometimes I really envy Fatty; at least he can live freely and without restraint. 0

To go or not to go—that is the question. 0
