It really is Xie Mengfei arguing with someone, and it seems to be quite intense. 0

"This dress was clearly taken by me first..." Xie Mengfei said sharply. Her voice was slightly hoarse, indicating that she had been arguing for a while. 0

"What do you mean you took it first? I clearly got it first!" The girl arguing with her was another curvy girl with curly hair. Although her features were beautiful, her heavy makeup made her look somewhat unreal. 0

Without waiting for Xie Mengfei to respond, the Curly-Haired Girl scoffed, "Auntie, you're old; can't you see who got it first?" 0

Hearing this, Xie Mengfei trembled with anger: "Yellow-Haired Girl, if you want to buy children's clothes, go to the third floor; that's where the children's section is!" 0

The Curly-Haired Girl proudly puffed out her chest: "Whether or not I've fully developed is none of your business. Clearly, I'm doing quite well, unlike you; you've already started to sag!" 0

The onlookers erupted in laughter, and among them was a young man with golden-dyed hair who chuckled, "Beautiful lady, your eyesight is impressive; you can even tell that this auntie is sagging?" 0

Xie Mengfei was furious at his words, screamed, and threw her bag at the Curly-Haired Girl. 0

The Curly-Haired Girl sneered and did not dodge; she picked up her bag and swung it at Xie Mengfei. Soon enough, the two were in a full-blown fight. 0

"What’s going on?" I asked a middle-aged man nearby. 0

"I don't know. They were fighting when I arrived. After a while, someone pulled them apart, but then this curly-haired girl provoked the one in Red Clothes again. They’ve fought three times since I started watching," the middle-aged man replied, lowering his voice. "I don’t know what's wrong with this mall; no security has come over yet. But honestly, damn, it's quite entertaining to watch. I was just going to the restroom but have been holding it in." 0

I glanced at the middle-aged man and noticed his legs twisted like a pretzel; he seemed to be struggling quite a bit. 0

Two sales clerks with stern faces pulled Xie Mengfei and the Curly-Haired Girl apart. One of them, a freckled salesperson, smiled wryly and said, "Ladies, can we please stop arguing? We have several of this dress in stock; why don’t you each try one on?" 0

"No way! I want to try this one!" Both Xie Mengfei and the Curly-Haired Girl pointed simultaneously at an orange-yellow dress hanging on the rack. 0

Damn, arguing over such a trivial matter for so long is just wasting time! You’re not only wasting your time but also mine! I increasingly felt that following Xie Mengfei was a mistake. Cursing under my breath, I stepped forward and pointed at the dress, asking the Freckled Salesperson, "How much is this dress?" 0

"798!" The salesperson didn't understand what I meant and paused for a moment before responding. 0

I counted out eight hundred-dollar bills from my wallet and handed them to the salesperson. Then I picked up the dress, chuckled, tore it to shreds, and casually tossed it on the ground. I shrugged and said, "Now it's settled. Everyone can go back to their own homes and find their own mothers!" 0

Xie Mengfei and the Curly-Haired Girl stared at me in shock. After a while, Xie Mengfei picked up her bag from the ground and turned to leave. 0

Seeing Xie Mengfei walk away, I looked at the two stunned salespeople and laughed boldly, "Don't thank me; this is what I should do. Ahem, by the way, are you looking for two dollars from me?" 0

Without waiting for their response, I smiled and walked out. I was confident that everyone around would be impressed by the aura of dominance I exuded. 0

Not far down the street, a voice called out from behind me, "Hey, you arrogant jerk! Stop right there." 0

I was somewhat taken aback. Turning around, I saw the Blonde Youth who had been watching the commotion. The Curly-Haired Girl was standing next to him, glaring at me fiercely. There were also two other young men of similar age standing beside them—one with red hair and one with short hair—both dressed in trendy styles. 0

Oh, they were all in cahoots. 0

"Are you talking to me?" I pointed at my own nose. 0

"Who else would be acting all high and mighty here?" the Yellow-Haired Youth sneered. 0

"What do you want to say?" I asked with a smile. 0

The arrogance of the Yellow-Haired Youth didn't anger me; instead, it felt oddly familiar and comforting. Once upon a time, I was just as reckless. Those carefree days spent in my youth are long gone. 0

"You've gotten yourself into big trouble!" said a Red-Haired Youth beside him with a scoff. 0

"How big of a trouble?" I spread my arms wide, gesturing a circle about a meter in diameter. "Is it this big?" 0

"Damn it, you're still acting tough at a time like this!" The Yellow-Haired Youth glanced around before glaring at me and said, "Come outside with me; otherwise, I'll make sure you regret it right here!" 0

"Are you saying you want to kill me somewhere else? Fine, go wherever you want!" I laughed. 0

The Red-Haired Youth walked up to the Yellow-Haired Youth and asked, "Brother Feng, where are we going?" 0

The Yellow-Haired Youth raised his chin and said, "Let's go outside first." 0

The group exited the mall, and the Yellow-Haired Youth turned left and right as we walked. Before long, we reached a secluded corner where he stopped and sneered at me, "You enjoyed showing off just now, didn't you?" 0

"Not bad!" I nodded. 0

"Do you want to die?" another Short-Haired Youth shouted sternly. 0

"I don't!" I replied honestly. 0

"Then kneel down!" the Red-Haired Youth sneered, sweeping his leg toward my knee. 0

I smiled and gathered my strength. As the Red-Haired Youth kicked my knee, he let out a scream and fell to the ground, clutching his foot and howling in pain. 0

Now you know it hurts, right? With that strength I used, my leg was as hard as a concrete pillar; it would be strange if it didn't hurt. 0

Seeing this, the Yellow-Haired Youth rushed at me angrily and threw a punch at my head. 0

I smiled slightly and grabbed his wrist, pulling him backward. He fell to the ground, and I stepped on his back. The Yellow-Haired Youth immediately let out a scream like a pig being slaughtered. 0

The remaining Short-Haired Youth was dumbfounded, trembling with fear as if he could scream and flee at any moment or collapse on the ground in shock. 0

Instead, the Curly-Haired Woman remained relatively calm. "Who are you? Why are you bothering us?" 0

At this point, I was too lazy to continue joking. I released my foot and said with a smile, "The one who argued with you just now is my friend. Since you bullied my friend, of course I had to help! Who are you guys hanging out with?" 0

“Liu Yishou!” The Curly-Haired Girl raised her voice slightly. Perhaps in her eyes, this so-called Liu Yishou was a significant figure, someone whose name would make me tremble. 0

“Oh, Liu Yishou,” I replied with a light smile. I had never heard of this name, and it seemed to be someone not particularly famous. “Just let your boss know that I ran into Ghost Brother!” 0

“Ghost Brother?” the young man with yellow hair on the ground exclaimed hoarsely. “You are actually Ghost Brother?” 0

Seeing this, the Curly-Haired Girl asked in surprise, “Is Ghost Brother really that famous?” 0

“Ghost Brother is a brother of Boss Tang!” The young man scrambled to his feet, cupping his hands toward me, his face flushed. “Ghost Brother, please forgive my rudeness.” 0

“It’s fine. Just be polite to my friends next time.” 0

With that, I turned to leave, but I heard the Curly-Haired Girl mumbling behind me, “We just wanted to make some extra money; we didn’t expect to run into you!” 0

I was taken aback and turned around to frown at her. “What do you mean by that?” 0

The Curly-Haired Girl stammered, “We accepted some benefits from others and wanted to embarrass your friend.” 0

I was even more surprised and quickly probed for details. Eventually, I learned that they usually sold things like shaking pills at a nightclub and had gotten involved with a public relations guy named Li Zan, who had paid them to do this. 0

A nightclub public relations guy? Could he be Xie Mengfei’s ex-boyfriend? I was puzzled and asked a few more questions but couldn’t get any useful information, so I turned to leave. 0

Checking the red dot on my phone, I found that Xie Mengfei hadn’t gone far; she was lingering near the Jin Kang Shopping Center. I frowned and decided to clarify things with her sooner rather than later. If it worked out, great; if not, I’d cut ties. This woman brought too much trouble. 0

Following the red dot’s direction, I found Xie Mengfei—she was sitting inside a cold drink shop. 0

When she saw me walk in, Xie Mengfei frowned and then tilted her chin up, indicating for me to sit across from her. 0

“Are you following me?” Xie Mengfei asked coldly. 0

I ordered a glass of orange juice from the beautiful Waitress. After she left, I said, "It's just a coincidence; I think we must be fated to meet!" 0

"What do you want?" Xie Mengfei snorted. "I'm not interested in any kind of artificial fate." 0

"Alright then, I'll get straight to the point," I replied with a smile. "Do you know Li Zan?" 0

Upon hearing that name, Xie Mengfei's expression changed dramatically. Various emotions—contempt, disdain, panic, and irritation—flashed across her face in succession. After a while, she took a deep breath, her expression gradually calming down as she coldly asked, "Are you investigating me?" 0

Seeing Xie Mengfei like this made me more determined to confront her. I was now certain that Li Zan was her ex-boyfriend and that he was still entangled with her. I had enough chaos in my life and didn't want to help her deal with any more troubles. Yet I smiled and said, "What's wrong with that?" 0

"He is my ex-boyfriend," Xie Mengfei sneered. "If you weren't investigating me, how would you know the name Li Zan?" 0

"Well, earlier when you were arguing with that Curly-Haired Girl on the second floor, after you left, I casually chatted with them about life," I said lightly. "In the end, they told me that it was Li Zan who instigated the argument with you, just to embarrass you in front of others." 0

I expected Xie Mengfei to be surprised, but instead, she only gave a bitter laugh. "Is there really such deep hatred?" 0

Hatred? Such grand words were being used; it seemed there was quite a story between those two. But what did that have to do with me? I no longer wanted to waste time on her. If I could persuade her, that would be great; if not, I'd just turn around and leave. 0
