"I... I..." The Black-Faced Man, Liu Donghui, hesitated for a moment before waving his hand at me, saying, "Why don't you talk to this gentleman?" 0

The eyes of the two armed police officers turned towards me, while another Thick-Browed, Big-Eyed Armed Police Officer raised his chin slightly, signaling me to speak. 0

I was too lazy to explain the background and details of the situation. I directly stated, "The underground vault may have been breached." 0

Upon hearing this, the Square-Faced Armed Police Officer first widened his eyes in surprise, then relaxed his expression and smirked slightly. "Who are you? What gives you the right to say that? The only entrance to the underground vault is right behind us. If the vault has been breached, there’s only one possibility: we would both be dead." 0

"Is that so?" I scoffed. "What if someone dug through the wall of the vault?" 0

"That's impossible! Our vault has a five-meter-thick concrete wall and an additional one-meter-thick steel wall. I don’t know what could possibly dig through such sturdy walls," the Thick-Browed, Big-Eyed Armed Police Officer frowned and said. "Moreover, there is comprehensive surveillance inside the vault. Even if a fly entered the vault, it would be detected by the cameras. Not to mention, our vault is so secure that not even a fly can get in." 0

"Have you heard of a Shield Tunneling Machine?" I sighed. "Alright, if possible, could you contact the soldiers in the surveillance room?" 0

The Square-Faced Armed Police Officer was about to refuse me when the Thick-Browed, Big-Eyed Armed Police Officer furrowed his brows and lightly coughed. "Sir, let me explain this to you: we have to contact the surveillance room every five minutes. If we fail to do so for over five minutes, the system will notify headquarters to enter a state of alert. In other words, even if someone dug through the wall and took control of the surveillance room immediately, they would only have five minutes—what could they possibly do in that time?" 0

Contacting the surveillance room once every five minutes? According to this armed police officer's logic, if Mr. Qian wanted to rob the vault clean, he would have to complete it within five minutes; otherwise, he would be discovered by the guarding officers. 0

How is that even possible? Five tons of gold isn't like five pounds of gold; you can't just carry it away easily. Furthermore, from the conversation among the armed police officers, it can be concluded that their communication with the surveillance room had never stopped, meaning there had been no anomalies detected on their end. 0

To prove he wasn't lying, the Thick-Browed, Big-Eyed Armed Police Officer picked up the walkie-talkie: "Hallway One calling Surveillance Room, Hallway One calling Surveillance Room." 0

Moments later, a male voice came through the walkie-talkie: "This is Surveillance Room Two. This is Surveillance Room Two. Please state your business!" 0

"Routine report! Everything is normal on my end!" 0

"Everything is normal on my end too!" 0

The Thick-Browed, Big-Eyed Armed Police Officer put down the walkie-talkie and looked at me with a half-smile. Meanwhile, the Square-Faced Armed Police Officer beside him wore a mocking expression and remained silent, raising his Submachine Gun towards us, clearly indicating that we should hurry back and stop talking nonsense. 0

I exchanged a glance with Kong Xuan, both of us filled with disbelief. Wasn't everything Mr. Qian did for the gold in the vault? He had meticulously planned several Kidnapping Cases and ordered so much High-Tech Equipment; could it really just be to take an excavator for a spin in the sewer? That was impossible. 0

Under the threatening gaze of the armed police officers, we could only turn and walk into the elevator. Just as the elevator doors were about to close, a thought flashed through my mind. Wait, wasn't there a device on that Website that could change voices at will? What if the people in the monitoring room were not armed police officers but kidnappers impersonating the original soldiers' voices? 0

With that thought, I quickly reached out and inserted my hand into the closing elevator doors. The sensor-equipped doors paused momentarily before reopening, and I swiftly stepped out of the elevator. 0

Seeing me emerge from the elevator again, the two armed police officers instantly turned cold, raising their Submachine Guns in unison. The Square-Faced Man shouted sternly, "Warning! If you take another step forward, I will shoot!" 0

I immediately stopped in my tracks, raised my hands, and shouted, "The armed police in the monitoring room might already be dead!" 0

The Square-Faced Man was furious, positioning his Submachine Gun on his shoulder with his finger already tightening on the trigger. He warned harshly, "Try saying another word." 0

I stood still and silent, looking at the Thick-Browed, Big-Eyed Armed Police Officer. 0

The Thick-Browed, Big-Eyed Armed Police Officer furrowed his brows tightly. After pondering for a moment, he raised his walkie-talkie. The Square-Faced Man shouted, "Lu, what are you doing? Do you really believe his nonsense?" 0

"We're guarding the national vault; it's not excessive to be cautious," the Thick-Browed Armed Police Officer replied with a smile as he pressed the button on the walkie-talkie. "Hallway One calling Surveillance Room, Hallway One calling Surveillance Room." 0

A voice came through the walkie-talkie: "This is Surveillance Room Two; this is Surveillance Room Two. Please speak!" 0

"Is Control Room One available?" asked the Thick-Browed Armed Police Officer. 0

After a two-second pause, another deeper voice responded from the walkie-talkie: "This is Control Room One; please speak." 0

"Chen Mazi, check if there's anything unusual behind the Alloy Gate. I think I heard some noise coming from there," said the Thick-Browed Armed Police Officer with a smile. "I’m too lazy to go over and open the door myself." 0

There was silence for a moment before the response came: "I checked, no abnormalities. Is there anything else?" 0

"Nothing!" The Thick-Browed Armed Police released the intercom button and looked at the Square-Faced Armed Police. Both of them had unusually grave expressions. 0

"What’s going on?" I shouted. 0

"There seems to be a problem. This Chen Mazi is just a name I made up; there is no one named Chen Mazi in our squad." The Thick-Browed Armed Police exchanged a glance with the Edge and the Square-Faced Armed Police, then raised their guns and quickly rushed toward the Alloy Gate at the end of the passage. 0

"Hey, we can help!" I shouted loudly. "I am a Special Security Consultant from the Police Station; open the door and let us in!" 0

The Thick-Browed Armed Police glanced back at me, nodded slightly, but did not pause in their steps. Soon, the two armed police reached the entrance of the Alloy Gate. 0

The Square-Faced Armed Police pressed a button on the left wall of the passage, and a control panel popped out. He quickly entered a password on it. Meanwhile, the Thick-Browed Armed Police pressed a switch on the right wall, which also revealed a panel. He casually drew a few lines on it, and with a clanking sound, the iron bars in front of us slowly retracted into the ceiling of the passage. 0

Exchanging glances, Kong Xuan and I quickly ran toward the end of the passage. Liu Donghui, however, stayed behind for a while before loudly saying, "I’ll go check if the police have arrived!" 0

With that, Liu Donghui turned and ran into the elevator. Clearly, he thought there was danger behind the Alloy Gate; he preferred to avoid getting involved in such matters. 0

By the time we reached the end of the passage, the one-meter-thick Round Alloy Gate had already been opened by two soldiers. Behind it was still a bluestone passage about fifty meters long. At the end of this passage was another Round Alloy Gate, with more than ten meters of wall on its left side made of Tempered Glass. A glass door was open on that wall. Behind it was a monitoring room filled with large surveillance screens visible from our angle. 0

On the floor of the monitoring room lay two armed police officers, one face up and one face down, their fates unknown. 0

The Thick-Browed Armed Police and Square-Faced Armed Police exchanged glances; both crouched down and raised their guns as they quickly rushed into the monitoring room. Kong Xuan and I followed suit, both readying our Spells—my ultimate move was naturally Nine Divine Thunder, while Kong Xuan's palm faintly glowed red with an unknown Spell that looked quite powerful. 0

As our group of four reached outside the monitoring room and stepped inside to take a look, we found that both armed police officers on the ground had ashen faces. I reached out to check their nostrils; they still had faint breaths. Looking at Kong Xuan, he said solemnly: "This is some kind of Spell; without three to five minutes, these two won’t wake up." 0

Hmm, this doesn’t seem like Mr. Qian’s method. If it were Mr. Qian’s doing, he would probably have killed both of them directly. 0

Looking up, the large screen in front displayed the situation of the Underground Vault. The rows of alloy shelves were empty, clearly indicating that this vault had been completely looted by Mr. Qian. 0

"Calling headquarters, calling headquarters, the vault has been robbed! The vault has been robbed!" Thick-Browed Armed Police shouted into the walkie-talkie, his voice already distorted. 0

Kong Xuan elbowed me in the waist. I turned to look, and Kong Xuan pointed at the armed police officer lying on the ground. Following his finger, I saw that the officer was tightly gripping a walkie-talkie, and next to it lay an old model cellphone. I vaguely remembered this type of phone; it was a Waveguide Phone from long ago. My father used to have one, touted as a fighter among phones with an exceptionally strong signal, capable of receiving signals even when stored in a safe. 0

The phone's screen was lit up, indicating that it was currently on a call. 0

I picked up the phone, and a roar of car engines came through, suggesting that they were driving on the road. After closing my eyes and pondering for a moment, I vaguely guessed Mr. Qian's steps in stealing from the vault. 0

First, he collapsed the sewer system and then, under the deliberate cover of Wan Dahai, Mr. Qian used a Shield Tunneling Machine to dig directly to create a passage leading to the vault. 0

At the moment he broke through, Mr. Qian somehow killed the two armed police officers in the monitoring room instantly. Using something from a website that could alter voices, he analyzed and replicated the voices of the two officers and placed a cellphone next to the walkie-talkie. This way, even if Mr. Qian was far away, he could still communicate with the walkie-talkie through the cellphone. Thus, maintaining contact with the two officers in the corridor every five minutes would not be an issue. 0

Of course, there were several puzzling aspects to this plan. For instance, how did Mr. Qian manage to kill the two armed police officers outside the vault? How did he place the cellphone next to the walkie-talkie? After all, there was an Alloy Gate separating the vault from the monitoring room. Another major question was that walkie-talkies require pressing a button to send signals; releasing it allows for receiving signals. So when Mr. Qian disguised himself as an officer speaking into the walkie-talkie, who pressed the button to send out his voice? 0

Could it be that there was an invisible person present all along? Only then could they have stealthily killed the two armed police officers in the monitoring room and placed the cellphone next to the walkie-talkie. This would also explain who pressed the talk button on the walkie-talkie in an empty corridor. 0

Thinking about this sent chills down my spine. Motherfucker, Invisible Man—this is just too bizarre. 0
