"That's right, there used to be a big stone here." Lu Zhengyang concealed his authoritative demeanor, appearing instead as a kind and gentle elder. With a slight smile, he continued, "Many times, I wondered if there was some treasure buried beneath this large stone. I asked my parents, but they didn't know either. So, I made a vow that when I became the head of the family, the first thing I would do is blow up this big stone to see what was underneath." 0

"And then?" I asked in surprise. "Lu... Head of the Family." 0

"Haha, just call me Brother Lu. Later on, I really did become the head of the family!" Lu Zhengyang laughed heartily, clearly indicating that after becoming the head of the family, he fulfilled his childhood dream and blew up the big stone. After a pause, he added, "However, after I blew it up and dug down two or three meters, all I found was a Metal Plate. There was nothing else, and I was instantly disappointed... Later on, for nostalgia's sake, I had Yue make a fake one in its place..." 0

"Wait, wait, Brother Lu, you only dug down to the Metal Plate and didn't dig any further? Did you see what was underneath the Metal Plate?" I asked curiously, wondering if Lu Zhengyang had encountered the Lianzheng Platform. 0

"There was nothing underneath," Lu Zhengyang replied firmly. 0

"Nothing at all?" I exclaimed in shock. "Wasn't there a Round Metal Cover on top of the Metal Plate?" 0

"That's right; there was a Round Metal Cover." 0

"Did you ever lift it to take a look?" I pressed urgently. 0

"Of course I lifted it. Underneath the Metal Plate, aside from damp sand, there was nothing else," Lu Zhengyang said slowly. 0

I suddenly felt anxious. Could it be that the Lianzheng Platform wasn't underneath? 0

At that moment, Shen Sipan walked to the exact center of where the big stone had been and began digging. He spoke in a low voice: "Brother Lu, it's not that I don't trust you; it's just that what's under this Metal Plate is very important to me. I must dig it up and take another look." 0

Lu Zhengyang nodded indifferently. 0

Feeling quite anxious watching Shen Sipan dig, I couldn't help but rush over to help but was told that my presence was slowing him down and to not disturb him. Covered in dust and dirt, I stepped back. Fortunately, because it was sandy ground, Shen Sipan dug particularly quickly; in half an hour, he had dug down more than two meters. Perhaps fearing a Sand Wall collapse, he made the pit over two meters in diameter. 0

A commotion arose as distant shouts and horse neighs could be heard. Following the sound, I saw a red flag emerging at the edge of the Basin. The flag fluttered in the wind with a golden 'Lu' character that stood out prominently. Soon after, a burly man dressed in red attire and wearing a Felt Hat appeared beneath the flag. 0

Under the setting sun, the yellow sands and the Armored Warrior beneath the banner painted a desolate yet heroic picture of a borderland martial arts scene. 0

Amidst the thunderous sound of hooves, behind the Red-Clad Man, countless Black-clad Men wearing Felt Hats emerged, and within seconds, the edge of the Basin was filled with mounted warriors. They reined in their horses, and after a chorus of neighs, an eerie silence fell over the land, a chilling atmosphere pressing down upon us. 0

The Red-Clad Man slowly drew his Machete; even from this distance, I could see the glint of light reflecting off its blade. 0

Raising the Machete and waving the flag in his hand, the Red-Clad Man charged forward on horseback, while those mounted warriors behind him also drew their Machetes, shouting loudly like a swarm of black ants rushing down the slope of the Basin. 0

At that moment, it felt as if the entire earth was trembling. 0

“Boss Zhong, what’s happening? Is there any commotion outside?” Shen Sipan shouted from within the pit. 0

“I don’t know; they don’t look like city management or demolition crews,” I replied with a smile. 0

Lü Yue couldn’t help but correct me, “Don’t be reckless; these are all warriors from our Lu Family. The man in red leading them is named Chen Zhen; he’s my father’s trusted aide.” 0

Wow, Chen Zhen… wow, a trusted aide… that’s impressive. 0

I found it somewhat amusing as I suddenly recalled a classic line: when the last person falls in a pool of blood, countless reinforcements appear on the distant horizon. That was exactly what was happening now; we had taken care of things, and these warriors were coming over. 0

Looking up, I noticed that those who had rebelled were starting to stir, whispering to one another. When they looked into the distance again, they saw that those mounted warriors under Chen Zhen's command were not slowing down but rather speeding up. Chen Zhen himself was now less than ten meters away from us, his Machete raised high, his face cold as ice. 0

“Charge! They’re charging!” A piercing scream suddenly rang out from among the rebels. 0

With a cold snort, Chen Zhen squeezed his legs against his horse's sides, and the steed leaped into action. With a powerful swing of his left arm, he sent his flag soaring through the air to plant it next to the Golden Tent's banner. One large and one small banner fluttered in the wind, creating a resonant sound; the golden character ‘Lu’ released an immense pressure in the breeze. 0

The Machete sliced through the air in a silver arc as Chen Zhen cleaved one of the rebels in half with a single strike, shouting furiously, “Kill! Leave no one alive!” 0

The mounted men behind him roared as they waved their Machetes; with each flash of their blades, blood sprayed into the air. The crowd of rebels erupted into screams and curses intermittently. 0

“Lu Zhengyang, you liar…” someone inside shouted hoarsely, but before he could finish, his voice abruptly stopped, as if a sharp knife had cut his throat. 0

Countless warriors wielding Machetes rushed past us. After a round of charge, none of the rebels were left alive. Meanwhile, Lu Shaoyang, who had been lying at the feet of Rich Handsome Guy, was thrown under the hooves of the horses without anyone noticing. Looking up, I saw his eyes wide open, his body shattered and broken, clearly dead beyond recovery. 0

“Actually, I really didn’t deceive them!” Lu Zhengyang shrugged and raised his hands: “Chen Zhen just gets too emotional; there’s nothing I can do about it.” 0

I smiled slightly; it didn’t matter. Whether it was the emperor of the nation or the leader of a gang, no one could tolerate betrayal. In the face of treachery, everyone would choose bloody suppression, regardless of whether it was their own brother. 0

Just as I was reflecting on this, a sound rang out beside me; it was Shen Sipan who had dug up a Metal Plate below. 0

Without hesitation, I jumped down and took the Iron Shovel from Shen Sipan. With a flurry of movements, I cleared away the Round Metal Cover in the middle. I extended my finger to hook onto the circular hole and exhaled; the round cover was lifted by me. 0

Once the Metal Cover was removed, I looked down and immediately breathed a sigh of relief. 0

Like the Greedy Wolf Platform, beneath the Metal Plate was an Metal Pit with a diameter of eighty centimeters. The pit wasn’t deep, about half a meter, and in the center was a Metal Hemisphere. The basin was large; however, while the Metal Hemisphere in the Greedy Wolf Platform was blood-red, this one on the Lianzheng Platform was entirely Golden, adorned with hundreds of silver Starbursts swirling above it, looking incredibly fantastical. 0

Above the Metal Hemisphere, there was also a groove the size of a business card. This was meant to hold the Book of Life and Death. However, there were no inscriptions like “Jade Balance and Integrity” next to this groove; it seemed that Jin Manyuan only carved words on the Greedy Wolf Platform for fun. 0

Above the pit came the surprised voices of Lu Family Father and Daughter, followed by Lu Yue’s astonished voice: “How could there be such a thing down here? Who put it in?” 0

Lu Zhengyang also sounded extremely shocked: “My big tent is right next to this stone. If someone had been digging nearby and buried something here, there’s no way I wouldn’t know.” 0

From their voices, it didn’t seem like they were lying; they truly didn’t know that there were these treasures beneath the Metal Plate. A thought flashed through my mind; perhaps only when I merged with the Seven Pages of the Treasure of Life and Death, would these formations like the Greedy Wolf Platform and Lianzheng Platform appear. 0

Not wanting to speculate further, I placed my palm on the Lianzheng Platform, silently reciting an incantation. I felt a stream of energy slowly flowing from my Dantian to my palm. This energy alternated between cold and hot, yin and yang; it was the energy from the Book of Life and Death. 0

As this energy gathered in my palm, I sensed that a page from the Book of Life and Death was gradually taking shape. There was still no dazzling white light; only occasionally did a faint gray light sweep across the surface of the Golden Metal Hemisphere. 0

A pulling force came from the keyhole, drawing my palm’s Book of Life and Death inside. With a soft click, the Golden Metal Hemisphere suddenly turned black, and all those silver Starbursts that had been floating around vanished without a trace. Everything mirrored what had happened at the Greedy Wolf Platform. 0

The only difference is the color of the Metal Hemisphere, one is blood red and the other is golden. 0

Additionally, after the Jade Balance and Integrity Scroll was absorbed, the various energies within me seemed to have surged significantly. 0

Unable to resist, I unleashed a Nine Divine Thunder against the Sand Wall. The power indeed increased slightly; what was originally a lightning bolt as thick as chopsticks was now as thick as a cucumber, and its power had also increased considerably. A single bolt of lightning struck, creating a basin-sized hole in the Sand Wall, reaching half a meter deep. 0

Although this is the Sand Wall, its power has indeed increased slightly compared to before. 0

Alright, the Lianzheng Platform Array has also been activated. I glanced at my watch and found it was already six-thirty. Looking up, I saw that the sunset outside had already set. 0

I calculated in my mind that I activated the Greedy Wolf Platform at two-thirty, and now four hours had passed. There are still five arrays that have not been activated, and there are twenty hours left until two-thirty tomorrow afternoon. Four times four is sixteen, and four times five is twenty. On average, I need to activate one array every four hours from now on. 0

After double-checking to ensure I hadn't made any mistakes, I let out a bitter laugh, covered the Metal Plate, and climbed up. 0

Looking around, Red-Clad Warrior Chen Zhen had already dismounted and was standing behind Lu Zhengyang. The Felt Hat Men were checking the grass for any survivors. Their method of inspection was very simple and effective; regardless of whether someone was dead or alive, they would cut off their heads. 0

After bidding farewell to the Lu Family Father and Daughter, I mentioned that I had urgent matters and needed to leave immediately. Lu Zhengyang tried to persuade me several times but upon realizing our decision was firm, he instructed Chen Zhen to bring me two good horses. I smiled and declined, completely ignoring their astonishment as I took out the Spatial Portal, set the location, waved my hand, and stepped through with Shen Sipan. 0
