Zhong Kui's Diary
I sensed the situation within my body and discovered another source of energy. By focusing my mind on it, I could feel the characteristics of wind; it seems this is the Wind Elemental Magic. Like Lightning Magic and Electricity Magic, it is vast as the sea and unfathomable.
I couldn't help but sigh. When I merged with the Thunder God's Fury Realm, I was being fiercely attacked by the Eight Great Masters at the same time. By a stroke of luck, I managed to merge with it, thus acquiring Lightning Magic. In Kunlun Mountain Death Valley, I absorbed countless bolts of lightning, which made my Lightning Magic as vast as the sea.
Fire Elemental Magic was similar; under the immense pressure of the deep sea, I merged with Fire Element and Mystical Realm. The various life-and-death experiences I went through still send shivers down my spine when I think back on them. Plus, after consuming twelve Fire God Pills earlier, it has become boundless.
But now, with just one pill, I directly possess unfathomable Wind Elemental Magic. Compared to this, my past struggles seem extraordinarily trivial and even quite amusing.
Not wanting to dwell on those chaotic thoughts any longer, I used my magical power to simulate an eagle. With a flap of its wings, the eagle soared into the sky in an instant, gliding and circling while occasionally letting out a clear cry.
Forget everything else; let’s continue copying and pasting.
I lost track of how many eagles I had simulated. Eventually, the entire sky was filled with soaring eagles. When both the eagles and the floating island emitted blinding white light, I knew that this layer of illusion had been broken.
I closed my eyes, my mind racing with thoughts.
**The illusion consists of six layers in total. Reflecting back, starting from the first Internet Cafe Illusion, I received hints from the Computer Game. Using Lightning Magic, I simulated an exceptionally complex key to unlock the Pass.**
Next was the Graveyard Illusion; I received hints from a tombstone and consumed twelve Fire God Pills to significantly enhance my Fire Elemental Magic. This allowed me to simulate a barbecue scene and pass through.
The third layer was a Coliseum; based on hints from the large screen above, I simulated two teams battling for ninety minutes on the Soccer Field before passing.
The fourth layer was a palace on a Snowy Mountain Summit. Following hints from a decree on the Dragon Table, I simulated Three Thousand Harem Beauties and ultimately cracked the illusion.
In the fifth layer, the method to pass was directly written beneath my feet. Additionally, the required Wind Elemental Magic was presented as a large pill for me to consume. When I used Wind Elemental Magic to simulate countless soaring eagles, I also broke through this fifth layer illusion.
Except for the first layer of illusion that required considerable effort on my part, the other four layers could be passed simply by following hints—provided one possessed the corresponding abilities. It felt somewhat like a Shaolin Temple monk needing to break through the Bronze Man Formation before descending from the mountain.
In each layer of illusion, I gained much. The Internet Cafe Illusion, Stadium Illusion, and Palace Illusion enhanced my control over spells, while Graveyard Illusion and Floating Island Illusion increased my Fire Element and Wind Element abilities.
I had a vague premonition that as long as I could break through all six layers of this illusion, my magical power and control over the Spell would undergo a tremendous change, and even Jin Manyuan might no longer be my opponent. Of course, my current Jin Manyuan, if allowed to absorb the energy of the Sun God, would have no rivals except for Judgment of Life and Death.
Slowly opening my eyes, I found myself in front of the vast ocean within the Giant Ship illusion.
I was still standing on the bow of the ship, with waves crashing in front of me and an endless ship body stretching behind me, towering into the clouds.
The first thing I did was look down at my feet, hoping to find some clues, but this time I was disappointed. The wooden planks beneath me were clean and unmarked, not even a scratch.
Looking around, I noticed the Azure White Clouds above. Although the sun hung directly overhead, the temperature was not high; it felt warm on my skin, like a winter sun. There were no abnormalities on either side of the ship.
After thinking for a moment, I raised my hand to summon an Electric Ghost Blade and walked to the edge of the bow. Turning to face the deck, I took a deep breath and shouted loudly as I swung the blade down.
A sharp white light spread along the deck, and where it passed, wood splinters flew everywhere. My strike actually carved a crack over a hundred meters long and two meters deep into the deck.
Before I could congratulate myself on my powerful strike, I discovered something that left me extremely frustrated. Although my blow had created a massive crack in the deck, there was nothing beneath it... well, that wasn't entirely accurate. What I meant was that the deck seemed to be made of solid wood; my strike had failed to split this large piece of timber.
If that were the case, then it was highly likely that this part of the Giant Ship was made from an enormous tree. If such a gigantic tree existed, even the giant tree at Dominion Villa would pale in comparison. Just considering that this ship's deck is three or four hundred meters wide means that this giant tree must have a diameter of at least four hundred meters.
This illusion!
I quickly reminded myself that in an illusion, encountering all sorts of bizarre phenomena was not surprising.
While I pondered this, the deck beneath my feet had already returned to its original state; it seemed that what had just happened was merely an illusion.
It was pointless to strike again; I sheathed my blade and headed toward the Cabin. Perhaps the key to breaking this illusion lay within it.
As I approached the Cabin, I couldn't help but curse when I saw its doorknob. The designer of this illusion must have been incredibly bored; even the doorknob was made of gold, with a fist-sized Night Pearl embedded at its top.
This illusion! I reminded myself once again that even a Night Pearl as large as a watermelon was not unusual here.
Feeling mischievous, I took my blade and pried off the doorknob, tossing it into my Mustard Seed Pendant. Although I knew that even if I put it into the Mustard Seed Pendant, it would eventually disappear on its own after a while, I still wanted to do it—there was no other reason than sheer boredom.
Looking at the doorknob, which had returned to its original state, I felt a sense of boredom and casually pushed open the door. This entire five-layer illusion was devoid of any signs of life, making knocking on the door meaningless.
The layout inside the Cabin was identical to that of a hotel room, complete with a bed, bedside table, table lamp, and television. Everything you would find in a hotel room was present here. I even noticed a sign on the bedside table that read "No Smoking," along with a box of condoms from Durex.
I searched the Cabin meticulously for quite some time but ultimately found nothing unusual. Growing impatient, I picked up the Ghost Head Blade and swung it, slicing through everything in the Cabin into fragments. Without waiting for it to return to its original state, I turned and exited.
Next, I swung my blade and destroyed two more Cabins, but there was still no reaction.
Damn, this approach isn't going to work.
I walked back to the deck, stepped back about ten meters, and observed. Just on this level, there were countless Cabins, not to mention how many more layers were above. If I continued to destroy each room like this, who knows if I would finish exploring all the Cabins before I grew old and died.
Wait, could it be possible that something was in the cockpit?
The cockpit is a crucial part of a ship; movies often depict it this way. For example, in Pirates of the Caribbean 1 and other installments of that series, there are scenes of the one-eyed pirate standing in the cockpit, steering with one hand while holding a single-barrel telescope with the other, occasionally sipping on Red Bull energy drink and munching on Wang Wang Senbei. That kind of swagger is simply impressive.
I got up and headed toward the stern of the ship. I had heard that on smaller vessels, the cockpit is usually located at the bow for better visibility, while on larger ships, it is at the stern—likely related to the distribution of machinery spaces and how ships handle turbulence.
After walking briskly for nearly twenty minutes, I finally reached the stern and searched for a while before finding the stairs leading upward. Then I began climbing layer by layer.
First layer, second layer, third layer...
Seventeenth layer, eighteenth layer, nineteenth layer...
Sixty-third layer, sixty-fourth layer, sixty-fifth layer...
When I reached the ninety-third layer, I felt my back aching and my legs beginning to cramp. The Ghost Head Blade in my hand dissipated due to my impure thoughts. Leaning against the railing for a rest, I looked up; above me was a thick fog that obscured any view of what lay ahead.
This ship can't possibly go on forever, can it?
No way; I'm too exhausted. I need to find a place to lie down for a bit.
I randomly found a cabin, kicked the door open, sat on the bed, ate something, and fell asleep immediately.
I don't know how long I slept, but when I woke up, the moment I opened my eyes, I felt a chill run down my spine because I saw a woman in white with long hair standing quietly by the bed, looking at me.
"Who are you?" I exclaimed, sitting up abruptly.
"And who are you?" the White-Clad Woman asked calmly.
This girl in white had a special aura about her, a noble and aloof beauty combined with a graceful elegance. At first glance, she seemed ordinary, but after a second and third look, you would be captivated by her charm, unable to pull away.
"Why are you sleeping in my room?" the White-Clad Woman continued to ask me nonchalantly.
"What? Is this your room?" I replied in surprise.
The White-Clad Woman didn't respond but tilted her chin toward the bedside table. I turned to look and saw a framed mirror on the table. In it was a beautiful woman with long hair smiling charmingly—wasn't that the same White-Clad Woman standing before me?
An awkward silence followed, and then doubts began to arise. Wait a minute, when I came in earlier, there didn't seem to be this mirror frame. When did it appear? Moreover, there were no signs of life in the previous five illusions; yet suddenly in this last illusion, a person appeared... Could she be the NPC of this layer of illusion? Here to guide me through the pass?
