Star Dragon God
Huo Feng felt a chill at his neck and his heart tightened. Could this girl really be about to attack? He quickly said, "Miss, don't misunderstand. I saved you. Look at the Snow Ape beside you; I killed it. When I found you, it was right next to you, and you had fainted."
Upon hearing this, the girl's eyes became confused. Huo Feng noticed her grip loosening, so he jumped back, secretly breaking into a cold sweat. That had been a close call; if her palm had struck down directly, he would have lost his life.
Now that he was out of danger, he angrily said, "Are you crazy? You wake up and just start attacking without understanding the situation."
Huo Feng turned to leave, unwilling to stay with someone like her, feeling quite irritated.
"Stop!" the girl suddenly exclaimed urgently.
"What do you want? I saved you and didn't even get a thank you, and you almost took my life. Now that you're fine, can I leave?" Huo Feng was also very angry.
"Um... thank you! I'm sorry about earlier. I felt like I encountered something before I fainted, but I can't remember what it was. Can you tell me where this is? How did I get here? And... who am I?" The girl's expression shifted from embarrassment to confusion in an instant.
Huo Feng was taken aback. "Could this girl have amnesia? Is she going to cling to me?"
"This is the Icebound Mountains. As for who you are or how you got here, I have no idea. Well then, go find whoever you want; we're not familiar with each other. I'm leaving." Huo Feng did not want to take this mysterious girl along with him; who knew if she truly had amnesia or was pretending? Besides, she had almost cost him his life earlier, which left him feeling quite displeased. Moreover, Huo Feng realized he couldn't see through her strength.
Having achieved his purpose for coming here, Huo Feng decided to head home.
Not long after he left, he noticed something following him from behind. When he turned around, he saw the girl trailing him from a hundred meters away. Upon noticing Huo Feng looking back, she quickly turned away and pretended not to follow.
Huo Feng sighed and approached playfully, "Miss, are you starting to like me or something? Why are you following me?"
"Who’s following you? This road isn't yours; I'm just walking my own way. What does it matter to you?" The girl stubbornly denied it and acted as if Huo Feng was being overly sentimental.
Huo Feng shrugged helplessly and said, "Alright then, you win."
"Then do you agree to let me follow you?" the girl asked cautiously.
"Did I? You haven't followed me yet," Huo Feng replied, getting anxious. This girl was really sticking to him.
"I really don't know what to do, and I have nowhere to go. After I woke up, you were the only person I saw. How about you let me follow you? Once I remember who I am and where I'm from, I'll leave, okay?" The girl looked innocent, her big pure eyes blinking at Huo Feng.
Seeing the girl's pitiful act, Huo Feng felt uneasy all over and helplessly said, "Fine, you can temporarily follow me. Once you regain your memory, you have to leave. But you must listen to me."
"Okay! I'll listen to everything you say. Thank you!" The girl seemed to find a sense of security and jumped up happily.
Huo Feng didn't say much along the way; it was getting dark. Finally, the girl couldn't hold back anymore.
"Can you tell me your name?"
"My name is Huo Feng," he said, glancing at her.
"Then I'll call you Brother Feng. How much longer until we get out of this mountain range?"
"We need to find a place to rest tonight; we can get out of this mountain range tomorrow."
"Oh! There are magical beasts everywhere here; how can we rest?"
Huo Feng ignored her and headed towards a nearby Ice Cave. He walked into the Ice Cave.
After a while, Huo Feng came out and waved at the girl. "We'll rest in here tonight."
The girl followed Huo Feng inside and reached the depths of the Ice Cave. She saw a giant bear that had just died and muttered, "That's so cruel; couldn't it just be driven away?"
Huo Feng glanced at her and said, "You can rest inside; I need to go to the entrance to cultivate."
"Can't you cultivate inside? Are you afraid of me?" She made a teasing expression towards Huo Feng.
"You have nothing to offer, so I'm not interested in you." Huo Feng glanced at the girl's chest and then quickly ran out of the Ice Cave. At that moment, angry shouts came from inside.
"Huo Feng, you bastard!"
That night, Huo Feng was cultivating at the entrance when suddenly a sharp scream came from inside. Huo Feng rushed in.
Upon entering, he saw the girl crouched down with her head in her hands. Huo Feng quickly walked over and patted her shoulder, gently asking, "What happened?"
Seeing Huo Feng, the girl tightly hugged him, softly sobbing. Huo Feng gently patted her back and said, "It's okay, I'm here."
After a long while, the girl finally calmed down a bit and released Huo Feng, her face slightly flushed as she dared not lift her head.
Huo Feng didn't pay much attention to that and asked with concern, "What happened just now?"
When she heard Huo Feng's question, she curled up tighter, trembling as she said, "I had a very terrifying vision in my mind. I saw a huge explosion where many people and various magical beasts died. I was also caught in that explosion; I was so scared. Then I saw a yellow light coming towards me, and I heard a voice calling 'Ruo Xi,' saying not to go. Then my head started to hurt a lot, and that's when you arrived."
"Alright, it's all over now. Don't be afraid. You're fine now. From what you just said, it seems that the person who called your name must have saved you," Huo Feng comforted her.
"My head hurts so much; I want to take a nap. Can you stay here with me? I'm scared." By this point, her voice was so soft that she could barely hear herself.
However, Huo Feng still heard her and replied, "Okay, I'll stay here. You just rest well. From now on, I'll call you Ruo Xi."
"Okay." She lay down in the giant bear's nest while Huo Feng sat beside her cultivating.
At the break of dawn, Huo Feng suddenly felt a strong chill and stood up alertly. At that moment, the girl named Ruo Xi also woke up, feeling much better after a nap. She looked at Huo Feng and said, "Something must be happening outside."
"I don't know. I'll go take a look."
Huo Feng walked outside, and Ruo Xi followed him, saying, "I'm going too."
Huo Feng glanced at her and replied, "Alright then, let's be careful."
When they reached the cave entrance, the coldness intensified. Huo Feng frowned, wondering if something unfortunate was about to happen.
However, Ruo Xi showed a happy smile. Seeing her expression puzzled Huo Feng. He said, "This situation is unusual. Why are you happy? We should leave here quickly."
With that, he stepped outside first, while Ruo Xi hurried to catch up with him.
"Do you have any common sense? Even though I've lost my memory, my subconscious intuition tells me that we are about to encounter a great opportunity. So we need to check it out; there might be unexpected gains."
"You can't even figure out who you are, yet you talk about intuition. Let's go," Huo Feng urged anxiously.
"Are you still a man? I'm not afraid; why are you? If you're not going, then I will!" Ruo Xi pouted.
Huo Feng's tone turned firm as he shouted, "If you don't leave now, I won't care about you anymore." He found Ruo Xi's behavior unreasonable.
"Hmph, go ahead and leave; I don't need your concern," Ruo Xi felt a bit frustrated. Her subconscious kept telling her that something would emerge. She wanted to bring Huo Feng along but he just wouldn't believe her.
Huo Feng was truly angry and turned to walk away. He only stopped after escaping the chill. At that moment, he remembered Ruo Xi and turned back but did not see her following him.
"This silly girl, what is she thinking? How could she not follow me this time? I hope nothing has happened." With that thought in mind, Huo Feng quickly headed back towards the Ice Cave.
When he arrived at the Ice Cave, the chilling aura still lingered. Huo Feng cautiously searched but did not find Ruo Xi's figure. His heart tightened, "Could this girl have been captured by someone? Or perhaps eaten by a powerful beast?"
Huo Feng felt an inexplicable sense of urgency. Suddenly, a loud rumble echoed from the north, not far from him, so he immediately rushed in that direction.
Huo Feng ran wildly and soon noticed many shattered ice blocks ahead, so he quietly sneaked past them. He found that there were no living beasts around. As he approached, he discovered a hole in the ground with a faint light emanating from within. After confirming that there were no threats nearby, Huo Feng quietly slipped inside.
As Huo Feng entered the cave, he shivered; the cold inside was even stronger, almost several times that of the outside. "What kind of place is this? It should be warmer inside the Ice Cave than outside."
With this thought, Huo Feng heightened his vigilance and continued deeper into the cave. After walking for a while, he realized that the light ahead was coming from a white pearl. He stopped to observe carefully and found no one around, so he proceeded forward.
Reaching beneath the glowing pearl, Huo Feng looked ahead into the light. He noticed that there was a glowing pearl at intervals along the path, so he continued to advance cautiously.
Soon, he reached the end of the light and discovered a massive space ahead, but there were no glowing pearls inside. Following the faint light at the end, Huo Feng saw a gigantic coffin in the center.
Beside the end of the path was a staircase leading deeper inside; this appeared to be a Tomb. His curiosity piqued, Huo Feng decided to go in for a closer look.
"Who is it?"
