Nangong Yu's words stirred everyone’s spirits again; they were no longer intimidated by Luo's remarks. A large group left the palace towards the Dark Poison Forest; their imposing presence was quite intimidating but familiar to those from Holy City who knew it was a grand event at the palace.
On the way, Nangong Yu suddenly walked up beside Huo Feng and whispered in his ear: "Be careful of Luo; he's not a good fellow and is also a direct disciple of that Yun. Inside was dark and eerie, with various colored gases swirling in the air. Huo Feng and Ruo Xi had to use their Origin Force to shield themselves from these gases. While focusing on avoiding the misty gas, they failed to notice someone trailing behind them who scattered white powder along their path.
As they struggled deeper into the Dark Poison Forest, Ruo Xi suddenly said, "Huo Feng, I think we're in trouble."
Huo Feng stopped and noticed sounds rustling from behind them as well as from the front and left sides of the forest. Realizing something was wrong, he sensed that a large number of magical beasts were approaching. Without thinking further, he grabbed Ruo Xi's hand and dashed to the right. Ruo Xi followed him while smiling happily as if she found the danger amusing.
As they desperately fled for their lives, someone stood far away watching them with a smile and said, "This Ant Powder seems quite effective; it has attracted hundreds of Giant-Horned Ant Beasts. Even if you escape these magical beasts, you'll end up in the dark poison pit of this Dark Poison Forest where you will surely die. Luckily for me, I cleverly scattered this Ant Powder in all three directions and left you with only this one escape route. Don't blame me; after all, you offended someone you shouldn't have." With that, he soared towards the mountain top.
Huo Feng and Ruo Xi continued to run and noticed that the magical beasts chasing them seemed to be gradually decreasing in number; however, many were still pursuing them.
Suddenly, they felt their feet give way beneath them as they fell downwards together but fortunately not very deep. Huo Feng stood up and looked at Ruo Xi asking, "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. Where is this place?"
"I don't know either, but we managed to escape from those beasts. It was really scary, it felt like a Beast Tide had occurred," Huo Feng said, feeling shaken.
"There’s just this opening here, it seems there’s no way out. How do we get out? Besides, we can't fly," Ruo Xi asked, troubled.
"Since there's no way out at this opening, let's just go in and take a look. Maybe there’s an exit on the other side," Huo Feng suggested. There really wasn't any other option, so the two cautiously walked inside.
After walking for a while, Huo Feng suddenly felt a wave of dizziness. Shaking his head vigorously, he sensed something was off and said to Ruo Xi, "We need to hurry back to the entrance; the air here seems even more toxic."
At that moment, Ruo Xi also began to feel a bit dizzy. Without hesitation, they both ran desperately towards the entrance. When they reached the opening, they could no longer hold on and collapsed to the ground, completely exhausted and unable to channel their Origin Force to counteract the poison. At that moment, neither knew what to do.
Just then, two beast roars echoed from deep within the cave. Huo Feng felt the entire cave shake as debris fell from above the entrance. He quickly released his Ice Puppet.
At that moment, sounds of "thud" echoed closer and closer. Soon, a massive eyeball appeared before Huo Feng and Ruo Xi, along with some wet substance dripping onto Huo Feng.
