Star Dragon God
Huo Feng stood still, as if frozen in place. Both Ice and Phantom Butterfly grew worried upon seeing this and decided to approach to investigate.
Just as they moved, a terrifying surge of Origin Force erupted from Huo Feng. Ice sensed that it was emanating from Huo Feng, and it was clear that he had advanced. They halted their movements and turned to look at Huo Feng.
They saw that the person who had been holding Huo Feng's hand was suddenly blasted away as Huo Feng shattered the ice that had encased his hand. The force sent the person flying backward, spitting blood and crashing into the ground several dozen meters away, lying on his back and convulsing uncontrollably.
Meanwhile, Fire Phoenix was still immersed in the exhilaration of breaking through. Huo Feng felt a surge of power coursing through him. Just moments ago, when his Origin Force had been depleted, the explosion and pressure created by that person trying to break free had allowed Huo Feng to shatter his bottleneck.
Feeling awkward, Huo Feng quickly retrieved a set of clothes from the Narcissistic Ring and put them on. Once dressed, he walked step by step toward the convulsing figure on the ground.
Upon reaching him, the man was in excruciating pain. Seeing Huo Feng approach, he struggled to say, "Just end it for me."
Huo Feng understood that this man was trying to use his last bit of Origin Force to kill him, but at that critical moment, he had broken through, instantly shattering the man's internal organs. Even if Huo Feng chose not to act now, the man would still slowly suffer and die.
Looking coldly at the man, Huo Feng said, "Someone like you is not worth mourning. Instead, let you slowly experience the agony of dying from your wounds here. Perhaps in your next life, you'll learn to be a better person."
The man struggled to lift his head but found it futile; he could only turn his head to watch Huo Feng's retreating figure. At that moment, he realized how terrifying death truly was. He regretted all the countless lives he had taken in the past, but it was too late; there were no remedies for regret in this world.
Naturally, Huo Feng was unaware of the man's feelings and had no desire to know them. He walked towards Ice and the others. Ice noticed that the situation had been resolved and transformed back into her original form. She looked at Huo Feng and exclaimed, "Congratulations! You've finally broken through to the Earth Vein Realm Sixth Level!"
Huo Feng smiled and replied, "I’m lucky to have you all here; otherwise, I would have been done for today."
Ice jumped onto Huo Feng's shoulder and suddenly suggested, "How about we become sworn brothers? After all, I’m a dragon, and you’re half a dragon too. We've been through so much together; we should venture into the Otherworld together in the future."
Upon hearing this, Huo Feng became interested. Aside from Xuanran and a few others, he didn't have many close friends and wasn't keen on making too many friends either. People could be treacherous; one never knew when someone might turn against you. Seeing relationships like that between Wind Serpent and Pocket Tribe touched Huo Feng, making him feel that sometimes beasts were more trustworthy than humans.
Huo Feng looked at Bing seriously and said, "Alright, let's become sworn brothers, sharing life and death together."
Bing suddenly said, "Then let's transform and swear an oath of blood. It will look impressive, hehe."
Huo Feng shook his head helplessly and smiled, "How old are you to still be playing like this? But fine, I'll go along with you this time. I'm fifteen this year; how old are you?"
"I'm thirteen this year. Since you're older than me, you can be the elder brother, and I'll be the younger brother. Let's get started," Bing replied, shaking his head enthusiastically.
Bing then transformed into a gigantic form. Upon seeing Bing's transformation, Huo Feng also instantly turned into a golden dragon, though he was only about half the height of Bing.
At that moment, the Pocket Tribe members also descended. Seeing Huo Feng and Bing suddenly transform, the terrifying pressure frightened them back into their treehouse.
Now that Huo Feng and Bing had completed their transformations, they exchanged serious glances. Bing then used a sharp claw to pierce his finger, letting a drop of blood fall onto a green leaf he casually picked up. The leaf immediately absorbed the blood, and an Ice Flower formed on it.
At the same time, he declared, "I, Bing, swear by the name of the Dragon Emperor that from now on I will become sworn brothers with Huo Feng, respecting Huo Feng as my elder brother. From now on, we will share blessings and face difficulties together. If I break this oath, may thunder strike me and fire burn my body."
Huo Feng followed suit and used his finger to draw blood as well, letting a drop fall onto the leaf that had received the Ice Flower. Instantly, a faint mist of blood rose from the leaf as the Ice Flower disappeared, replaced by a vivid red color.
Huo Feng then proclaimed, "I, Huo Feng, swear by the name of the Dragon Emperor that from now on I will become sworn brothers with Bing; I am the elder brother and he is the younger brother. We will share blessings and face difficulties together. If I break this oath, may thunder strike me and fire burn my body."
With that, Huo Feng and Bing each held one end of the blood-colored leaf and gently pulled it apart to split it in half before eating their respective pieces.
After finishing their meal, Huo Feng smiled and extended his claw. Bing also reached out his claw, and they clasped them together.
Huo Feng excitedly shouted, "Younger brother."
"Elder brother," Bing responded with equal excitement.
Moments later, Huo Feng and the others returned to their original forms. Happily, they walked towards the treehouse, and as they walked, Huo Feng said, "Let's go ask the chief for some Azure Fruit Wine to enjoy."
"Yes, today is just too joyful," Bing said, bouncing along with excitement.
When they reached the entrance of the treehouse, the Wind Serpent had already returned to its nest. Only the Pocket Tribe members were peeking out, and upon seeing Huo Feng and the others back to normal, they timidly stepped outside. The chief, Mo Qi, approached Huo Feng cautiously and said, "We thought you were formidable; I didn't expect you to be this strong. I truly underestimated you. But what were you doing just now? I thought you were going to attack us."
At that moment, Huo Feng felt exceptionally relaxed. Not only had he broken through, but he had also sworn brotherhood with Bing after fighting side by side. He happily replied, "Chief, rest assured, we are not those wicked Bastards. We were just swearing brotherhood. By the way, I would like to borrow some Azure Fruit Wine from you; I hope it's convenient for you."
Upon receiving the answer he desired, the chief relaxed and laughed heartily, "Hahaha... that's naturally no problem." He then turned to another young member of the Pocket Tribe and said, "Mo Shuai, take some people and quickly fetch a few jars of aged Azure Fruit Wine for this brother Huo Feng."
As night was approaching, Huo Feng wanted a quiet place, so he said, "Could you please deliver it to the top level of your treehouse? We will celebrate there tonight."
With that, Huo Feng and Bing flew directly up to the top level of the treehouse.
That night, the treehouse was even more enchanting under the night sky. The interior was filled with glowing orbs that illuminated the great tree brightly. From a distance, it looked as if the tree itself was radiating white light, appearing exceptionally bright and otherworldly.
On the rooftop of the treehouse, Huo Feng and Bing enjoyed their Azure Fruit Wine while happily chatting. Bing's dragon claws held a wine cup nearly as big as its body, looking incredibly adorable. As their conversation grew lively, they couldn't help but let out bursts of Dragon Roar; however, it wasn't in a violent manner using Dragon Roar Combat Techniques.
