Star Dragon God
Ice did not use his true abilities to deal with them; he simply slammed his massive body down from above. However, the sheer size and incredible speed of his descent left the hunchbacked old man and the others pale with fear. In an instant, everyone exerted their full strength to scatter and avoid this giant **bomb**.
Unfortunately, Ice's speed was simply too fast, and the primal aura he exuded upon returning to his true form dulled their reflexes somewhat. So despite their best efforts to dodge, two of them were unable to escape.
Those two were crushed against the edge of the Pit created by Ice's impact, deeply embedded in the mud. At that moment, their eyes widened in pain as they convulsed, blood gushing from their mouths. Their chests were completely caved in, and one of them was in a particularly tragic state, with his limbs deformed; it was clear they would not survive.
Ice did not look at them but instead appeared unusually excited as he tilted his head back and let out a loud “Dragon Roar.” The sound echoed throughout the lake for a long time, causing ripples on the surface of the water as if stirred by an unseen force, shaking even the ground.
Inside the Mineral Palace, a figure whose face was obscured suddenly stood up from the throne. Although this palace made of stone had powerful defensive capabilities, the roar still put him on high alert. Nevertheless, he managed to calm himself and sat back down on the throne, gently stroking the Ore Serpent Head atop it.
Outside the palace, after venting his feelings, Ice finally stopped, while Huo Feng remained unharmed thanks to the protection of the Seven Star Spirit, which covered his ears. Huo Feng shook his head helplessly and quickly walked over to Ice, saying, “Now you must feel better, right? Look at what you’ve done; your roar killed everyone! I was planning to ask them some questions.”
At this moment, Ice returned to his harmless and adorable form, looking apologetically at Huo Feng. He then playfully jumped onto Huo Feng's shoulder and said, “I completely lost myself just now. I've never suppressed my abilities for such a long time before; now I feel so unburdened. Hehe!”
Hearing this, Huo Feng felt that Ice had indeed been wronged and decided not to scold him further. Instead, he said, “Forget it; let’s just go inside. What are we afraid of together as brothers?”
Just as they turned to leave, one of the corpses moved slightly, catching Huo Feng's attention. He focused on it and saw that one body suddenly slid aside as a blood-soaked figure crawled out. When it stood up, Huo Feng realized that its face was obscured by blood; only its hunched figure indicated that this was the old man who had spoken to him earlier.
Huo Feng approached him and sent a gentle wave of energy into the old man's body, allowing him to finally stabilize himself.
The old man looked at Huo Feng in terror because he noticed Ice on Huo Feng's shoulder. He saw that this adorable beast was merely a miniature version of the giant monster he had encountered earlier. This filled someone who had weathered countless storms with curiosity about Huo Feng. He asked in shock, “Who exactly are you? As far as I know, no one in all of Azure Calamity Nation or Azure Wave Kingdom can control such an unimaginable beast, nor have I ever seen one like it.”
Huo Feng smiled lightly and said, "Shouldn't I be the one asking questions now? It seems the initiative should be in my hands."
"What do you want? It seems that our group of dwarves has no grudges with anyone," the old man said gloomily.
Huo Feng maintained his smile and replied, "Unfortunately, your group of dwarves happens to be my friends. Moreover, I have grown fond of this place; if you intend to destroy it, you are destroying my dream, and thus you must pay the price."
"Tell me about the layout inside, and I will make it quick for you. Otherwise..." Huo Feng then activated his Crimson Demon Eyes, his blood-red, eerie eyes fixed intently on the old man.
Under the gaze of those blood-red eyes filled with a murderous aura, the old man felt as if he had fallen into an endless slaughter, his mind flooded with bloody scenes and scattered limbs. He recalled the people he had killed in the past, terror filling his eyes.
Seeing that it was almost enough, Huo Feng timely retracted his Crimson Demon Eyes and calmly looked at the old man. At this moment, the old man was gasping for breath, his gaze dazed as he knelt on the ground.
Suddenly, the old man lifted his lifeless face to look at Huo Feng and spoke in a tone devoid of any emotion: "At my age, it's truly pathetic to realize this only now. Let me tell you, aside from our leader, everyone else here is a ruthless person who has committed countless atrocities. Until one day a leader suddenly appeared and gathered us all back together to carry out a significant task. Most of us are only by his side due to fear of his power; we dare not ask what exactly it is. Now that our brothers are dead, inside there are only some Loyal Minions left with the leader."
After finishing, the old man closed his eyes, which had become mere slits, tilted his head back, waiting for Huo Feng to grant him a swift end. Huo Feng did not hesitate at all; as he turned to walk inside, he sent a silver-white Starlight Blade behind him. The Starlight Blade instantly sliced through the old man's neck, and he fell to the ground with a thud, lifeless.
...
Huo Feng arrived at the entrance of the Great Hall of the Palace and suddenly stopped in his tracks, captivated by the figure seated on the throne above.
Looking over there, Huo Feng saw a face shrouded in mist, obscuring its features. Dressed in a black robe, the figure sat quietly. Huo Feng stood silently at the doorway watching him.
After a long while, an aged and emotionless voice echoed: "I didn't expect such a young fellow; those useless ones should have been killed by you. I didn't expect you to reach such heights at Earth Vein Realm Sixth Level; it seems you have some skills, but this is where it ends."
"Stopping me is not just talk." Huo Feng thought cautiously, feeling that this person was even more formidable than the Second-in-Command.
However, Huo Feng became intrigued and said to Bing, "Let me handle this, big brother."
"You’re being unreasonable; you clearly said this was my turn," Bing replied, turning his head away from Huo Feng.
Before they could reach a conclusion, the person had already extended a hand. Huo Feng watched as the water in front of him began to ripple, and soon after, he saw several snakes made of water forming and rushing towards him.
Huo Feng did not dare to be careless and pushed his hands forward.
"Star Blade."
